My folks are in Crystal Lake and got a call from McHenry county police 2 1/2 hours ago to stay in their house. My father is now bored and going to sit on the patio. Parents! Anyone in that area know anything? Something about a house in the Carriage Home neighborhood with swat surrounding it. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?

If you have spare time, their zoo is nice. It's a rescued animal zoo; they have a one eyed eagle there! We went already certified but no dives other than during draining. We stayed at Turneffe island; what a blast that was! Have a great time! ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?

No, they said we could jump our own gear. And we have jumped this DZ before so not entirely new. I think it is a perfectly reasonable price. Doesn't mean I can't wish it was cheaper. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?

I finally called and they said the recurrency course was $20 each and then $75 for the jump. Edited to remove fact that I came across like it was too expensive. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?

Yeah, I won't be jumping my Vengeance this go around. Not to mention lack of currency and a high performance parachute. No thanks! I definitely am going about it differently this go around. I am older and it's not as easy as skipping a meal. The slowness is normal for what I am doing, but I would love to drop it faster. I don't have the patience for low carb anymore. Very valid point and I was waiting for this to be brought up. We now have the "hands free only" law and it's an improvement, but you are right in that I still drive different. But cell pones are relatively new compared to drinking and driving. Give it time and it will be completely banned as well. Depends on how bad things get. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?

I even tried saying "and what if one of YOUR kids got hit by a drurk driver". But his take on it is that so many people do it and the percentage of accidents is probably low compared that it's ok as long as something doesn't happen. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?

There is a coworker here trying to tell me it's ok to drive drurk as long as you don't kill anyone. Now let me share with you he is a nerd to the tee and has never been drunk. He says he could drive really really careful and it would be ok. I am shocked by this. He says the statics can't be all that bad. He claims there are probably a million people who drive drunk and never hurt anyone. Really though how can they have stats on those whe have driven drunk and never hurt anyone and how many times. I think it is horrible for him to say it's ok as long as nothing happens.
