I have'nt read much about this Kittinger other than I know he is dead. But did he not have a chute/drogue out of some kind when he reached those speeds? OK, did alittle reading on Capt. Kittinger and did'nt find anything about a drogue chute being used during his descent. Hey, I don't know if it can be done or not but the idea is interesting, and the ride would be breath taking.

Well my point is, at 343,000' plus you will need to deploy a chute of some kind to keep youself stable or otherwise you will tumble uncontrolable to your death. With very little atmosphere you can not be stable without the assistance of a chute and a very large one at that. You will not be able to handle the ultimate forces your body will incounter and you will not be able to regain stability unless you had a large drogue chute that is larger than 30' in diameter, possibly much larger.

No, Chance of survival is small if at all. You would require a pressure suit to keep your blood from boiling and turning into a gas, and you would need a large chute that could deploy at that altitude to keep you stable. You would reach incredible speeds as well possibly well above 700 mph with a chute out at that altitude. But back to the pressure suits, the astronauts us a Assured Crew Escape Suit (ACES) which I believe is certified to an alt. of 102,000 feet anything above this would not protect the man or women inside. These suits are hundreds of thousands of dollars to make and skydiving in a Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU) i.e. space suit is not something you want to skydive in and they run well over a million dollars. But hey what to I know, I'm just a little fella.

Yea, I know its a gassahollic, and after putting almost 100.00 into it to fill it up I'm looking on getting one of them there cars Bill was telling me about in a previous thread. Hell you think driving is expensive, try filling the plane with 100LL, RV-7A with a 200 hp Subaru just around the corner, just about ready for the taxi test.

Hey, Girl how is everything going? Not an expert on the subject of photograghy, but I'll toss this idea out there. So she does'nt like flashes, umm she must not like thunder storms either. What if you us 400 ASA black and white print film and push the ASA to 800 or 1600. Develop the film on your own in the schools darkroom where you can control the quality of the chemicals and the temps. Agitate the canisters slowly to avoid having grainy photos and don't forget to tap canister for bubbles. Smaller the print the better the quality.

18 years of age. Thats still to young for many of our kids. But most men what to do unto other mens daughters that they don't want done to their own. We had a co-worker here earlier this year who thinks alittle different and held the above philosophy. The dude was 35 to 36 and had his way with at the time a 14 year old girl who was all for the encounters, however the mother was not when she found out. Don't take pictures and leave them laying around or post them on your personnal computer. The girl was 15 when the mother found the photos and realized her little girl was having sex with a 35 year old. Once he found out that he had been turned in to the police he took a gun to galveston to end his life, the police were able to convence him it was'nt worth killing himself over but the next 15 years in prison will give him time to reflect on the age of consent. A bullet to the brain would have been my vote for the dude and I knew him, but I'm a father of 3 girls.

The cost of such vehicles, is it something many americans can afford. Do these vehicles provide adequate room for there families? Currently there is no incentive for manufactures to build these vehicles not to mention the billions needed to tool up and make design / engineering changes because the american consumer is not interested in that type of car. Corp. are profit motivated to stay in business and make a return on investment capital. Once again the requirements from state to state on different blends needs to stop, set a national standard.

Most of those greenies don't even bath, so sometimes you just got to step over them and move on. I came accross an article from a journalist that was stuck on a train of greenies, war protesters and the like. He mentioned the smell was very unbecoming not to mention the singing was lousy. But I have an idea, why not have no more than 6 blends of gasoline nation wide. That would save loads of money and increase supply big time. You would have to tell the greenies to shove it, that would'nt be to hard, they are not all that productive anyway. You would here alot of yelling and crying, but with a good spanking you can tell them to take a bath and go to bed, and don't forget to brush your teeth, and oh yea cut your hair, your not in high school anymore. (Grow up and stop acting like an ASS)

I disagree, plenty of oil in the Gulf, off the coast of California, and Florida, not to mention all that oil in Alaska. Nuclear Power is truely the way to go. Far better than wind power.

If we cut off China that would help. The war that would follow would help also, because there would be less people dependant on the Oil after the war. I myself will have one of them cars that is propelled by the nuclear winds. Living in a lead suit will cause some problems though.
