today we recieved a settlement check for the damage done to our stuff during our recent move. we were satisfied with the settlement amount for all but one item. for the item in question (an armoire), they didn't give us anything. the reason stated is that it was previously damaged as per original inventory. indeed the original inventory does note four places of damage, however all four damage codes begin with a "4" indicating damage to the front. Also the codes all indicated superficial things such as scratches and chips. The damage I claimed was a piece broken out of the rear of the armoire. The people I have dealt with throughout the claim process have been very professional, helpful, and polite. Today's phone call was no different. I'm sure that this is just a mistake and will get worked out with no problems. While on the phone, I asked what I should do with the settlement check they sent me. I was told that if I was satisfied with the amounts given for the rest of the items, I could cash the check. Since they offered me nothing for the armoire, cashing the check does not release them from liability for the armoire. Of course they needed me to email them the details and in that email, i requested that they send me an email stating that I could cash the check. Should I cash it? that's the one. it that is definately the more mellow end of the spectrum and it doesn't look that bad on posh. the problem is that this isn't what is being done. the women are taking it to the extreme. there is definately a line of demarkation where i have indicated and everything below that line is eradicated resulting in the back of the head being shaved. some women have a shallower angle so that only a little of the back is shaved, but many have angles well more than 45 degrees, resulting in the shaved portion going as far up as the crown of the head while front remains a few inches longer that mrs beckam's. frankly i'm surprised at the response to this thread. i thought that with popularity of this style i would be taking a beating. oops. forgot to add attachment. i don't know the name of it, but its where the front is long but it gets shorter as you gotoward the back so that a portion of the back of the head is shaved. about 3/4 of the mommies at my sons' daycare have some version of this modern day reverse female mullet. some of them really take it to the extreme where the front is below their shoulders and the angle is so extreme that the entire back of the head is shaved. this style is ugly and you ladies need to stop. that is all.
