Cara said to just give you the paw! Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

Okay Since my dog has been jumping longer that you and has never done any of the things that you listed she said you should stay home until you are as well behaved! Oh, and she has never gotten drunk and puked all over the DZ either! Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

No, there is no ambiguity here, I did not say that. Since I did not quote you I could not twist your words. I asked a question. And again you still have not answered my original question with all of your advertising wisdom. Please impress me! I was not talking about if you quoted the complete wording. Go read it again. What I was questioning was comprehension and an appropriate response. And now you are saying that you know what I considered or not? You know more about what I thought than I did? Damn that is impressive! My personal opinion only Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

No, it is not absurd and no I did not "essentially" say that. It was a response to several comments, some of which were clearly unreasonable and it was used to show that. Clearly no company in this industry is going to do that for several reasons. And you still have not answered my question. So now the USPA is not aware of what their responsibility to its members is? NOT! Look up the meaning of what I wrote in its complete wording. And I always give all comments their due consideration. My personal opinion only Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

According to whom? First, please stop quoting me out of context; second, clearly by your response you might check around about advertising in the real world. You’re joking right? You may have perceived it that way but as previously stated it was never intended or implied to stop any emergency procedures. You’re kidding again, right? And yes it is a rhetorical question. My personal opinion only. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

Really, so if they did the ads like the big corporations and did everything that was listed, what would the cost be per container? The point that I was trying to make is that you can document your self out of business. The only reason I took it to an extreme is because some of the responses did and I was showing the unreasonableness of it. And speaking of Parachutist the “official publication of the USPA”, how remiss of them for not catching this in editing and allowing it to be published. YES I’m kidding! I guess the thing that gets me the most about this is the thought that a skydiver would look at an ad and say wow, I guess I need to forget the rest of my emergency procedures that are in the SIM, instruction and owners manuals, data labels on all of the equipment and all of the instruction that I received. And since it conflicts with everything that I have ever read or been taught I am not even going to question it of discuss it with anyone. I think this goes back to the saying “skydiving is not for everyone”. So let's look at the reality of it. The ad only shows a snap shot of time of the whole EP sequence to show what a product would do. In neither case does it show any of the EP's before or after that time frame nor does it show every EP for every malfunction. So for the time period given, proper EP’s were given. The ad did not say stop all EP’s at this point. So in the end I guess all ads now will have the fine print disclaimers at bottom. Or maybe Parachutist will have to put a page before the advertisements that says"the following pages are advertisement and should not be substituted or used as instruction or EP's". The above is my personal opinion only. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

How about this: We hire attorneys; loss prevention experts, technical writers and take out publication errors and omissions insurance to make sure the ads are perfect legally? Oh and by the way, that will be an extra $500 a rig to cover the cost! And by the way, I guess the ad should also show all emergency procedures for all possible malfunctions too. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

Hopefully not. But there have been cutaways where there has been impact at reserve line stretch where it could have made a difference. In addition, don't you think there is an advantage to be under canopy with a couple hundred extra feet to give you more time before landing? Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

Like it has been said, it is advertising and nothing more. It was never intended to circumvent any emergency procedures. Even you knew to pull silver, or are you saying that after seeing the ad you would change that? Are you saying that you would ignore the owner’s manual, your training etc.? All that the ad showed is one particular malfunction and what the result would be under the two scenarios. I will convey your thoughts though to the marketing people. Would that be considered forced religion? Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

What can we do about Skyride?

Skydive AZ is in the middle (45 miles) between Tucson (TUS) and Phoenix (PHX). I have found good deals at both. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

So let me see if I understand the logic (or lack thereof). A majority of the major airlines have filed bankruptcy because of rising fuel cost, so the government, in order to help, RAISES taxes on the fuel? Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

BINGO! Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

Really, according to whom, you? Cause the USPA and others say they count. Yes in fact she has and yes it is on video As you have, just not as often as her! Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

Do you think that maybe you are being overly judgmental given that the whole basis for your bashing is based on a newspaper article? How do you know that the generator wasn't in a door way with the exhaust going out and they thought that may have been enough ventilation or maybe a door closed while they were sleeping? Personally, my dog has earned the right for the rest of her life to have me carry anything she needs! “May I aspire always to be the kind of person my dog believes I am". Another suggestion that I have that I have never found in any of the books is to have a way to carry your dog out if you need to. My dogs harness allows me to carry her like a back pack if I need to. I was once asked by a television reporter if my dog was my hero after what she had done, I said she has always been my hero! Dogs ROCK, people suck!
