Well now that you have answered my questions and explained how I got there..............the DZ is now open for business When I do night or cross country jumps I carry two 3 mile storbes, VX-7 quad band radio, PLB, GPS and a cell phone. While the cell phone would be useless the rest is not. I would not bother with the otter there right now as we can get that out later. I would just call for another otter with floats. I would make sure it was loaded with rum. 48 hours later and the first load is ready to go!!! By the way, our SAR team has jumped in with chain saws before. First of all there already is a DZ on the island. The beach on the west side of the island is huge and perfect for a DZ and swooping. Now my question is how the hell the otter landed in the middle of the woods and is still flyable? As for who I want, that is easy, I want the three DZ.commers that have chain saws with them. The plan is to chainsaw the big stuff towards the west side of the island. Whenever there is an east wind burn the underbrush. Then off 300 miles NW to HI to pick up the first load. TRIBUTE TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, HE LIVED ALL ALONE, IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE. I COULDN'T HELP WONDER HOW MANY LAY ALONE, ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME. THE VERY THOUGHT BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE, I DROPPED TO MY KNEES AND STARTED TO CRY. THE SOLDIER AWAKENED AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE, "SANTA DON'T CRY, THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE; I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM, I DON'T ASK FOR MORE, MY LIFE IS MY GOD, MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS." THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP, I COULDN'T CONTROL IT, I CONTINUED TO WEEP. I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS, SO SILENT AND STILL AND WE BOTH SHIVERED FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL. I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT, THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR SO WILLING TO FIGHT.
