  5. So now that we have a better means of communications we should not use it? I guess you should give up your air conditioner too since people used to get by without it. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!
  6. The issue here is Andrea asked if it made a difference and people have said yes. Also J did not start the post he replied to the post. There is a changing trend in cooperate America that is requiring some employees to give greater notice and maybe this could be considered for future reference. 7. Actually that is exactly what happened and why Spence made the post. You might want to go back and read the original post by Spence. It was unknown as to IF there would be a Skyfest this year and where and when. So as soon as J had the info he tried to get it out as quickly as possible. 8. To be honest, YES. In reading some of the response several people have stated that employers are now requiring six months or more notice for vacation time request. This is becoming more common in the corporate world. By limiting the time you are limiting some people’s ability to attend. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

  14. I just read part of the governance manual. It is interesting to note that one of the reasons for removal from membership is having been convicted of a felony. I wonder if this would apply to any of the BOD? Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!
  15. I see the BOD scheduled the impeachment BEFORE the general membership meeting where they could get input from the members who elected her. Clearly they do not want the information from the general membership because then they could make an informed decision and it is clear by their actions that they do not want to do that. I have not read the procedure to see if it can be done yet, but it would be funny if the membership turned right around and elected her again. 20. Tax his land, Tax his wage, Tax his bed in which he lays. Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes is the rule. Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Tax his ties, Tax his shirts, Tax his work, Tax his dirt. Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he tries to think. Tax his booze, Tax his beers, If he cries, Tax his tears. Tax his bills, Tax his gas, Tax his notes, Tax his cash. Tax him good and let him know That after taxes, he has no dough. If he hollers, Tax him more, Tax him until he's good and sore. Tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in which he lays. Put these words upon his tomb, 'Taxes drove me to my doom!' And when he's gone, We won't relax, We'll still be after the inheritance TAX!! Accounts Receivable Tax Building Permit Tax CDL License Tax Cigarette Tax Corporate Income Tax Dog License Tax Federal Income Tax Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA) Fishing License Tax Food License Tax Fuel Permit Tax Gasoline Tax Hunting License Tax Inheritance Tax Inventory Tax IRS Interest Charges (tax on top of tax), IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax), Liquor Tax, Luxury Tax, Marriage License Tax, Medicare Tax, Property Tax, Real Estate Tax, Service charge taxes, Social Security Tax, Road Usage Tax (Truckers), Sales Taxes, Recreational Vehicle Tax, School Tax, State Income Tax, State Unemployment Tax (SUTA), Telephone Federal Excise Tax, Telephone Federal Universal Service Fe e Tax, Telephone Federal, State and Local Surcharge Tax, Telephone Minimum Usage Surcharge Tax, Telephone Recurring and Non-recurring Charges Tax, Telephone State and Local Tax, Telephone Usage Charge Tax, Utility Tax, Vehicle License Registration Tax, Vehicle Sales Tax, Watercraft Registration Tax, Well Permit Tax, Workers Compensation Tax. STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY? Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What happened? Can you spell 'politicians!' And I still have to 'press 1' for English. I hope this goes around THE USA at least a billion times Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!
  21. This is too true to be very funny. The next time you hear a politician use the word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about whether you want the politician spending YOUR tax money. A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases. A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959. B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive. C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were a living in caves. D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet. E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it. While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New Orleans. It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division . . Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu (D), is presently asking the Congress for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans . Interesting number. What does it mean? A. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, child), you A. each get $516,528. B. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787 for repairs. C. Or, if you are a family of four, your family gets $2,066,012. Washington , D.C .. HELLO!!! ... Are all your calculators broken?? Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!

  24. A young guy from Saskatchewan moves to Vancouver and goes to a big "everything under one roof" department store looking for a job. The Manager says, "Do you have any sales experience?" The kid says "Yeah. I was a salesman back in Saskatchewan ." Well, the boss liked the kid and gave him the job. "You start tomorrow. I'll come down after we close and see how you did." His first day on the job was rough, but he got through it. After the store was locked up, the boss came down. How many customers bought something from you today? The kid says "one". The boss says "Just one? Our salespeople average 20 to 30 customers a day. How much was the sale for?" The kid says $101,237.65". The boss says "$101,237.65? What the heck did you sell?" The kid says, "First, I sold him a small fish hook. Then I sold him a medium fishhook. Then I sold him a larger fishhook. Then I sold him a new fishing rod. Then I asked him where he was going fishing and he said down the coast, so I told him he was going to need a boat, so we went down to the boat department and I sold him a twin engine Cruise Craft. Then he said he didn't think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I took him down to the automotive department and sold him that 4x4 Expedition." The boss said "A guy came in here to buy a fish hook and you sold him a BOAT and a TRUCK?" The kid said "No, the guy came in here to buy Tampons for his wife", and I said, "Dude, your weekend's shot. You should go fishing. Time and pressure will always show you who a person really is!
