R.I.P. 10,000 Indonesian Christians 1998-2003
Sen.Blutarsky replied to Sen.Blutarsky's topic in Speakers Corner
I unambiguously requested analogous examples. You haven't provided a single supportive example despite you holding yourself out as being both local and expert. Please do so if you wish your position to be considered relevant in this thread. Otherwise you will be understood to be an apologist or a propagandist, each of which may be congruent with your true aims. Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners! -

As you’re both local and expert please post similar examples of reported Indonesian Christian on Muslim violence, as this will provide us with a basis of comparison. For example, you should post a story where Indonesian Christians have beheaded Muslim schoolchildren and deposited the heads several miles away as intimidation. You don’t even have to blame Israel or the United States for the violence, just post the equivalent facts. Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners! -

Three Schoolgirls Beheaded in Indonesia Saturday, October 29, 2005 JAKARTA, Indonesia — Unidentified assailants attacked a group of high school girls on Saturday in Indonesia's tense province of Central Sulawesi, beheading three and seriously wounding a fourth, police said. The students from a private Christian high school were ambushed while walking through a cocoa plantation in Poso Kota subdistrict on their way to class, police Maj. Riky Naldo said. The rural area is close to the provincial capital of Poso, about 1,000 miles northeast of the Indonesian capital Jakarta. He said the heads of the three dead girls were found several miles from their bodies. Indonesia is the world's most populous Muslim nation. But Central Sulawesi has a roughly equal number of Muslims and Christians. The province on Sulawesi island was the scene of a bloody sectarian war in 2001-2002 that killed around 1,000 people from both communities. At the time, beheadings, burnings and other atrocities were common. A government-mediated truce ended the conflict in early 2002 but since then, there have been a series of bomb attacks and assassinations targeting Christians. A market attack in the predominantly Christian town of Poso killed 22 people in May. Christian leaders have repeatedly criticized the authorities in Jakarta for allegedly not doing enough to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice. The Christian-Muslim conflict in Sulawesi was an extension of a wider sectarian war in nearby Maluku archipelago in which up to 9,000 people died between 1999 and 2002. Soon after it erupted in 1999, the Maluku conflict intensified with the arrival of volunteers belonging to Laskar Jihad a newly created militia from Indonesia's main island of Java that was supported by hardline elements in the security forces. Analysts and diplomats accused senior army commanders of funding and training the militia, which was hurriedly disbanded following the terrorist attacks on the tourist island of Bali in 2002 that killed more than 200 people — including 88 foreigners. Some former militiamen are believed to have moved to Poso. Source: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,173913,00.html Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners! -

The main advantage here in the states is that you seldom have to wait in a queue for access to a squash court whereas the racquet ball courts are almost always booked in advance. In comparison racquet ball play involves more power strokes and squash requires greater finesse and strategy IMO. I've played squash since ~1983 and prefer it to racquet ball, however, I keep a racquet for the latter sport in my locker just in case I am asked to play. Both games are excellent means to relieve stress. You guys still play blue and yellow dots over there? In Chicago we're mostly white dotters. Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners!

It wasn’t luck. Chicago had St. Michael on our side. Divine intervention combined with the righteousness of our cause meant that our foes were destined to be utterly vanquished, and they were. Mere silly mortals with big, er, bats indeed!* Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners! *On the bandwagon until March and then it’s back to billygoat Hell for moi. I'm genuinely happy for Bo and the other South Side Sufferers as well as my city.

mr2mk1g, the EU court hereby adjudges you GUILTY of the crime of using the letter “W” in the acronym “WMD.” The convict is admonished there is no such letter or term in our language and the state will punish you severely if you fail to reform your thinking. Remit 100 new lira within five days or you will be imprisoned for contempt of this court. There is but one god, Allah. Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners!

… opposes free speech and even the Western alphabet. It should be interesting to watch Turkey accelerate the Islamicization of Europe in the years ahead. 20 Fined For Using Letters W And Q DIYARBAKIR, Turkey (Reuters) -- A Turkish court has fined 20 people for using the letters Q and W on placards at a Kurdish new year celebration, under a law that bans use of characters not in the Turkish alphabet, rights campaigners said. The court in the southeastern city of Siirt fined each of the 20 people 100 new lira ($75.53) for holding up the placards, written in Kurdish, at the event last year. The letters Q and W do not exist in the Turkish alphabet. Under pressure from the European Union, Turkey has improved language and human rights for its Kurdish minority, but the EU says implementation has been patchy and loopholes remain. The 1928 Law on the Adoption and Application of Turkish Letters changed the Turkish alphabet from the Arabic script to a modified Latin script and required all signs, advertising, newspapers and official documents to only use Turkish letters. More than 30,000 people have been killed, most of them Kurds, since the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) rebels began an armed campaign for Kurdish self-rule in the mainly Kurdish southeast of Turkey. I watched The Squid and The Whale this past weekend. The movie speaks volumes about the dysfunctional state of parenting in contemporary America. See it and you can understand some of the reasons why many children today, including the children of intellectuals, have difficulty focusing on their schoolwork. Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners!

The Swedes fortify their spiced wine and call it "glog." They sprinkle almonds and currents on top and serve it as the yuletide season approaches. It's almost glog season in Chicago. I've learned why not to peeve the Swedes who live here when they've been imbibing glog, it turns them into rampaging vikings, especially since they tend to follow it down with glassfuls of aquavit and bits of smelly herrings and lutefisks. Danger Will Robinson, danger. Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners!

Moot because BillVon isn’t electable. His rapid departure from Fordham Law School, and related circumstances, would murder him with the electorate. This isn’t necessarily a good thing, but I doubt he can overcome it. Welcome to Politics 101. Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners! -
I’m pretty pleased with my 6GB Mini. It fell off my belt down a mesa and, while it now looks like crap, it still plays fine except for the occasional skip when I run (an induction phenomenon?). OTOH iTunes is a lousy piece of engineering and I go through a bag of earphone covers a day on average, I whether Apple will ever fix them so they stay put … Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners!

It's a beautiful autumn day here in Chicago. Slight smell of marine layer down from Canada, gentle sunshine, woodsmoke breezes, rattling leaves, Octoberfest in our beer gardens and no clouds or rain. Think I'll run either though Lincoln Park up to Evanston later this afternoon or down to Midway Plaissance and catch a brew near Hyde Park before I take the smEL home. Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners!

There's a fresh juice shop near practically every intersection in downtown Chicago and there are ten times as many coffee shops where you can almost always pick up Odwalla, which is a quite good substitute. Sorry things are tough out by you. Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners!

I have a canopy with a "clear" (white) bottom skin. On night jumps I tape a microlight/led to my helmet and switch it on after I deploy. My entire illuminated reflecting canopy functions like a huge lighted billboard that says, "Hey, I'm over here!" and enhances safety IMO. I haven't had any close calls with the canopy during the daytime. Blutarsky 2008. No Prisoners!
