Hey there guys and gals~ Im still in heaven down here in puerto rico, but the internet seems to be slower than id like, so to tide you all over until I get home late tonite, I managed to get a small album of some of the most enjoyable moments in the air on my website. I know its not much, but by this time tomorrow I should have most everything up. I just cant say thanks enough to Jason and Viviana for such a wonderful event. Every year it just keeps getting better and better. 320 regestrants this year, and lets help em get to 500 next. Id like to see a minimum of a 50 way flock next year, and bring it all down and land on the beach, any takers? Everyone did just an amazing job... Thanks also to The rest of the puerto rican crew that made this event happen~ And to ROOK~ for the use of your beautiful aircraft and manifesting with Erin just made things a breeze. But will you still go around reminding everybody it all started with Bird-Man? Only when the next season of new skydivers shows up thinking they have mad skillz. Lest we forget our history... The Standard of training that we currently have, Which is Based upon all the manufactures training advice, practices, and ideals IMHO is woefully inadiquate. They have worked well to this point but that doesnt mean it couldnt be much better. Matt is Right that is has to be non denominational, but it must be very different than it ever has been... The people that are coming into this sport and starting our dicipline at such low experience levels, is a problem. Most newer jumpers are of a different generation, with different levels of understanding reality, risk vs. reward, and responsibility than generations of the past. The target group around which those training tools were based upon have changed. when those were written most people at 500 jumps wouldnt try a wingsuit. this along with fundamental flaws with how some of these training aides are implimented, given newer human factors issues, must be addressed. I dont have anything more to say on this matter at this time, nor am I trying to piss in anyone's wheaties.. Im simply stating that times change and so do training practices, Methods and programs. Human factors, and our societies degredation of responsibility is a large part of the reason changes should be made. let us not dwell on our accomplishments of the past, but focus on our community coming together, and to our accomplishments together in the future.
