Do I need to fly the space shuttle to know that its actually a really big glider upon re-entry? it is un-powered when it returns from orbit, and has a trajectory about the same as most wingsuits... granted they had big ass rockets to get them to altitude, but we have freefall express to get us up, and as a commercial pilot, I can tell you, YES, we are flying. I guess you just need to figure out that its all about perspective. Hey all~ Wow... I Just cant say enough about this event.. The people here are amazing, and theres no way I can thank everyone, But Veggie, Dean, Randy, and Everyone else, amazing job.. Great to see everyone again and meet so many wonderful people who will remind us all why we skydive. Our community is so small in this world, and I can only wish more DZs could have such a vibe~ People are why we keep doing this~ You guys just rocked the house.. we even had an impromptu rock concert in manifest on saturday nite.. Im working on the video now, and im sure the boogie video that Justin, Myself and others are working on will be soon to follow. Omar Nerys and I started freeflying our wingsuits i believe around the end of 2004, begining of 05 i think... we started chasing chris ware in his freefly suit, then went from there... we used to do alot of freeflying, but it has been awhile, and i do miss it.. Jeff and I have carved tandems while I was shooting tandem video in my wingsuit before, and moves like the gravitron were created by us back around the same time... it kis kind of silly Pierre, however its a blast, and the fact that you can be head down to five grand, and still get a min and a half freefall time and cover a mile or two just coming out of your dive~ ok.. im ready to start again... mabye Ill teach you justin~ but vewdoo isnt current enough, he doesnt jump anymore so he just bitches... so he cant come :P Z Flock #11; Muff #1909; PFI #15, USPA Lifer Commercial Multi-Inst. Take your time and dont be in a rush, wingsuits will be here when your ready for them... but when you are, mass does equal speed, but knowing how to use that speed to gain the lift and get to where you want to go, as well as bleeding off the proper amount of momentum, is key. big guys need extra speed to maintain lift at flocking speeds... the trick is all in technique. im 5'7 and 200 before gear, and before camera gear. i fly a supermach, and it works well for me.. in certain modes of flight i can get into the teens for doward fall rate while coming into a stall from fast forward flight or more vertical flocks, but it takes a long time to get there... practice makes perfect~ Im makin fat sexy again~ Scotty Z Flock #11; Muff #1909; PFI #15, USPA Lifer Commercial Multi-Inst. Hey All~ My apologies for my tardiness in the uploads, but I had to leave out first thing monday to attend the NAB trade show in Vegas. Just got home from seeing all the coolest gadgets, gizmos, and stuff you didnt even know existed under one roof. imagine every best buy, circuit city and comp usa in your entire state, under one roof with tanks and helicopters and all... kinda cool... Thanks again to DSE for the hospitaity and the Invite to a very cool event... Thanks again to everyone who came down to zhills to join us for this event~ We all had a great time between the jumps, the drinks, old and new friends alike, and of course the vids on the projector on sat nite~ Morpheus and Phoenix Fly did it once again~ Thanks to Rob and Kathy for putting together a great event~ Robi~ if you have never had the honor of meeting or flying with Mr. Pecknick, the easiest way to pick him out of the crowd is to notice the guy walking around with the wheelbarrow~ Their new DVD Fly the Line 2 is just amazing... This I will say about Jarno~ He, along with myself, was the last wingsuiter standing... All other wingsuiters, Big and Small, short and not tall, crashed the Fuc% out, and Jarno and I began planning on how we will taking over the rest of the universe. here are a few photos to prove, and once the mornin comes and i get over by the bunker, ill upload all the photos from this weekend to my site, but for now, enjoy!
