My FF2 fits much better than my Mindwarp, even after baking. I may order a thicker liner for the BH. I lucked out bigtime on my FF2 - When I placed my order they had one that was ordered and not delivered, built to fit a head close to mine and was set up for an HC-30. So I got it in a week. Lead time is quoted at 6-8 weeks, and it seems they've been running ahead of thier game. I'm working at enhancing my dealership with them, actually. Mine was set up with the Cam-Eye and cutaway, also. They do a fantastic job of installing the cam-eye. Easy Does It

Good choice the FF2! I might suggest that, once you get things set up and ready to jump, take a good, hard look at things and solicit the input of other video jumpers at your DZ, then make a decision. It's a tough call sometimes. Myself, I've never had an RSL installed on my rigs, so I can't speak from experience. (My own pesonal choice, I don't try to influence people one way or the other.) Wondering how many folks are using an FF2 and how they like 'em. The folks at 2K are nothing less that fantastic! I've put just a few jumps on mine (HC30 inside the box) and absolutley love it. I'm in the process of writing a very long review of it. I purchased it with the Cam-Eye fitted and the cutaway installed. Took all of 30 minutes, (not including coffee breaks and questions from curious folk at the shop at work,) to get it ready to jump from the time I took it out of the box. Other feedback? Dressing for winter jumping isn't a major thing. Avoid over-dressing. Here's what I do when jumping in Wisconsin in the winter. Body - Avoid bulk and over-dressing. I've had good results with cotton Long Johns, then jeans and a long-sleeve, heavyweight t-shirt or sweatshirt, then the jumpsuit. - I also have some miltary-issue polypro undies that are nice without being bulky, too. Feet - Extra pair of socks and sneakers. (same sneakers I wear in the summer - ) Maybe an extra pair of socks to change into when your feet get wet walking back to the packing shed. Hands - I like the gloves made by Ironclad, and sometimes I can find a pair of real thin cotton liners to go underneath. Make sure you can feel the handle at pull time. Head - I wear a Z-1 fullface, I like being able to open it up easy due to fogging/frosting hazards. But I know plenty of folks that wear open-face helemts and have nice rosey cheeks when they land. (Speaking of rosey cheeks - I've even seen a few folks jump nekkid in the winter, here, too - Hearty souls, they are!) You don't need to spend big bucks on hi-tech clothing to enjoy winter jumping. But if you have the coin, I hear Under Armor is kickass. Easy Does It

Paid for my training and I still pay for jumps by: Working mad overtime, especially in the off-season to bank for the summer months- Scrounging and selling scrap metal (non-ferrous metals are up! Copper is like a buck a pound!) Buying and selling stuff on eBay. Pimping myself out - Packing. Ratholing cash when I can. Buying/selling gear. Always looking for more sources of income- May go the AFF/Tandem route of funding my habit next year. I'm also beginning to play with video. Easy Does It

Jumping in high/ gusty winds takes all the fun out of flying the canopy for me. I'll jump in steady winds up to 18, depending on turbulence. That gusty crap I don't like. So I don't jump in it. Cheers! Easy Does It

I have my equipment covered with my homeowners policy, it was no problem. I'm with Allstate. They also have my life and auto insurance business. We have it covered as "sporting equipment". My coverage is up to $5,000.00 per item, and $25,000.00 max. So I'm covered for multiple rigs/canopies and it also will cover accesories like helmets, cameras and the like. We did this because we weren't sure if the company would consider a complete rig as one item or four separate items. I think it costs around $110.00 per year, and covers me no mater where I am, home at the DZ or abroad, and covers just about any type of loss. (fire, theft, weather, etc.) I also made sure it was repalcement value, not actual value. So if my tired old rig gets stolen, I get paid to replace it with brand-new stuff. I'm not sure how Florida P&C laws differ from Illinois law though. Easy Does It

I started using tube stoes, had no problems with them, but when they eventually started breaking I replaced them with rubber bands, cuz I found out they're free in most packing sheds! Easy Does It

My own equipment is Cypres equipped, and I keep it maintained so it's doubtful I'd ever my jump it without the AAD in there. However, I've used other folks' rigs not equipped with an AAD without reservation. No biggie. FWIW, I don't use an RSL, either. Edited to add: Seatbelts in car - Yes, if so equipped. Helmet on Motorcycle - Only if required by law. Helmet when jumping - Fullface for RW, open face for everything else. Audible alti - Most, but not all of the time. Eating food off the floor - 30-second rule. But never off the garage floor. Unless it's pizza, and it lands topping-side up. Easy Does It

I did the full strapectomy - All that's left if the little metal loop towards the front. Got everything mounted up to my old ProTec and took it for a jump. A chin cup will be on the way soon. I'll make another few jumps with it before drilling up my BoneHead. I've already started work on a new bracket to clear the LANC cord and the switch. (Just happened to have a big piece of aluminum sheet laying around the shop.) I might even fire up the heli-arc machine and try welding up something really cool! Easy Does It
