I worked one summer with a cemetary caretaker. Cut grass all day and worked on my tan. On off-weather days, we worked on the equipment. Had to plant a few bodies once in a while. Neat part was the place was over 200 years old - Had headstones dating back to the Revolutionary War. Some of the founding fathers of the Mormons were buried there, too. Easy Does It

OK - I've got nothing that even comes close, but I like that look - Guess I'm going shopping. I feel the need to make one hell of an impression. Most all of the people in the office section have only seen me in greasy jeans and t-shirt. Gotta show 'em I clean up well! Easy Does It

Not flaming you here at all - I beg you to re-consider you choice in canopy size. You're probably about 215 out the door, and a 170 will put you at a 1.26 wing loading, which is very high, based on your published jump numbers. There is absolutely no shame whatsoever in downsizing slowly. If anything you'll earn more respect. Easy Does It

There are so many so called "actors" that suck royal it's hard to choose who's the worst. And my wife wonders why I don't like going to movies - or watching TV for that matter - Add Will Smith to the list of shitty actors. David Caruso, too. Easy Does It

Psycho packers: How to control the slider?

I threaten mine - If it won't behave, it gets sedated or I call the men in white coats. Easy Does It -
wings container for a 170, now with a 190...any problem?
Dumpster replied to artistcalledian's topic in Safety and Training
Give Ankie a call, and discuss it. Most of thier containers will fit 2 sizes well, i.e. a W-7 will fit 120-135' main and a W-8 will fit 135-150. AggieDave hit the nail on the head when he mentioned it fitting your canopy safely. Sure, a good packer can fit 15 pounds if shit into a 5 pound sack, but weather it comes out as it should is a whole 'nuther story. Easy Does It -
6 AM until 2:30 - But being a supervisor, getting finished anything earlier that 3:30 -5:00 is like taking half a day off. Coffee in the morning, fruit and juice in the afternoon. Then work on the house, in the shop or with gear sales until 9 or 10 at night, plus time with my son, other commitments, etc. Life is NOT boring for Lenny! Easy Does It

Whiskey, honey and lemon, in equal portions. 3-6 ounces, throw a couple extra blankets on the bed, and sweat it out. And crazy monkey sex. I don't know why, but when I have a cold, I'm also much more horny than usual. I am lucky and very seldom get colds, but on the rare occasion I do (Last bad cold I had was over 4 years ago-) this is what works for me. Easy Does It

There's a pretty good chance I may be travelling to China this spring - Any body know if skydiving even exsists here? (Lots of other stuff to do, as well as WORK! Easy Does It

GROAAAN!!! Actually, wait for things to heal up before jumping - You really don't want the brothers swelling up like a couple grapefruit - Might wanna consider a jockstrap or tighties for a spell, too. I got mine snipped long before I started jumping, but my occupation had me doing lots of lifting and pulling - I had to take it REALLY easy or I would have been in major trouble. Easy Does It

It takes alot of skill to be able to fly by the seat of your in the kitchen and do it well. My first wife was a whiz that way. I do OK, as long as I stick to the things I'm familiar with. Working with whatever is available? I learned in France that a steak, a charcoal grill, some Dijon mustard and a bottle of very dark red wine can be used to make one hell of a steak. Easy Does It

My first wife was an awesome cook - (Still is, last I knew-) My current wife is OK, definitely more of a package chef than not. Myself, I'm not a gourmet by any means, but do very well on the grill (Charcoal please-) I get rave reviews for my chili, seafood/fish is no problem for me, and I can follow a recipie quite well. Baking I haven't done much of in a long time though. Gadets? Don't need many of 'em. I do appreciate a good, sharp French knife. Most important tool in the kitchen, I think. Cast iron pans, a good Dutch oven, and a large slow cooker. Easy Does It

Yes I've thought about that, too, driving out and flying back. I know I can make it out there in about 10-12 hours, if I'm driving solo. I just might do that. I don't forsee towing anything with the Taco that would make it worthwhile doing all that work to it. I'd like to get a smallish camper, but nothing big enough to load it to the max like that. Thanks for the help, Folks!! Easy Does It

Your Skydiving Goals for 2005?
Dumpster replied to Dumpster's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Damn - Hard to beleive a thread I started almost a year ago is still going - And still on topic, too! When I started the thread I was healing up a broken tib/fib from a botched landing. I was one with the recliner for about two months, and gained about 20 pounds. Let's see how I did - - -Finish healing and get back in the air. - Done - Back in the plane on Safety Day -Take Scott Miller's canopy course. (This has been on my list the last two years, now it's time I make it a higher priority.) - Signed up for the course at the DZ only to have it cancelled -Go to Orlando for an hour or so in the tunnel and visit Z-hills. - Lack of funds/vacation time. -Compete in the MWSL 4-way league. (I've already gotten invites to join teams!) Nope -Coach newbies like crazy. - Yep - Did some coaching but not as much as I'd have liked to. -Earn Static line and/or AFF ratings. - Nope -Make at least 200 jumps. - Closer to 100 jumps -Attend at least 1 "big" boogie. - Nope Still a good year - That first jump after the injury was a little nerve-wracking, but I got back on the horse. Main reasons for not reaching many of my goals was lack of funds (kids eat alot) lack of vacation time (burned alot of that ahead of time while healing up -) and a change in the household - My son (14) came out to live with us, and since he's not into the DZ scene, but still deserves my attention, my time at the DZ and the amount of effort I put into the sport itself changed. But here's what I did do - - Started dealing in skydiving gear- - Visited a new DZ Free Fall Oz skydiving in Ceres, PA - Very groovy place. Check it out - www.freefallozskydiving.com - Started playing around with video. - Purchased two new helmets, a protrack, and assorted other things. Non-skydiving things: - Have done some personal growing, mainly getting to know my son all over again. I moved out when he was 4, and now 10 years later, we're living together, and it's been a real positve experience for all involved. - Decided to change some of the circumstances I'm living under and start moving my life in a slightly different direction. (just getting started with that - It's not going to happen over night.) It's funny though, how sometimes a subtle change in course can cause some very large ripples in the water. - Finally finished remodeling the kitchen. And I did a damn fine job, I must say! Haven't even thought about next year - Well, yes I have - But that's a whole other thread! Cheers! Easy Does It
