  1. Yep - 3,500 pounds regular, then with the tow package supposed to take it up over 4,000 pounds which is what I need to tow an '89 Jeep Cherokee out to New York State from Illinois. I'm not sure what the tow package includes, but I'd like to think that along with springs, wiring and so on it would add beefier brakes, trans cooler, etc. Some one else mentioned having it trucked out there, too. Said it might only cost a few hundred? Anyone know about this? Easy Does It
  2. Wondering if some one out there has experience beefing up a Tacoma to tow a serious (4000+) pounds (I.E. another vehicle - ) cross-country (about 750 miles or so - ) Mostly "level " terrain - (Hills here and there but no mountains) What I'm starting out with is a 2004 Tacoma, V-6, Prerunner/ SR5 package. Auto trans. I know it won't tow that much in it's present configuration, but any idea if it's possible and/or cost effective to have the factory tow package installed? Options? Easy Does It
  3. Nice try - ! The whole chicken wing craze originated in Buffalo, NY at the Anchor Bar, and started catching on in the early 80's. Hence the "Buffalo Wings" moniker. Actually, you'll rarely hear anyone from that area refer to them as Buffalo Wings, rather "wings" or "chicken wings". Pizza joints often have Pizza-n-Wings deals all the time. When I make wings, I use the original sauce from the Anchor. Easy Does It
  4. Wear several layers of loose fitting clothing if possible. The baggyness helps to absorb the impact. Don't know what the weather will be like, but you'll be working up a good sweat no matter what. Enjoy - I hear it can be a little addicting. Easy Does It
  5. Both - Defintiely both. In parts of Western New York it's considered very poor tase to order a pizza without wings. And to consume them without beer on the table is even worse. I prefer mild or medium - Maybe throw a few hot ones in there. How many folks here know why they're often called Buffalo Wings? Easy Does It
  6. There are a couple if us at our DZ using the HC30 (slightly older version of the 32) with very good results. 2K Composites' FF2 is a good option for a helmet. Easy Does It
  7. OK - Something seriously wrong here - We have a thread talking about BOOBIES with no pics posted - Let's get with it, people!! Easy Does It
  8. I've got the will written up so if/when I croak all my shit goes to my kids. Skip the wife and the ex, straight to the kids. Also I've also given instructions to throw a big-ass party and invite all my enemies as well as the few friends I may have so they all can rejoice it wasn't them that bit it. Then burn my ass in a furnace and chunk my ashes out over where ever place thay feel.. Dropzone or landfill or ??? I'm gonna be dead, I don't think I'll care. After selling life insurance for awhile ( I worked for one of the biggest companies in the business-)I developed a wierd attitude toward some things.(I don't do that anymore -Left that business and the whole estate-planning racket years ago-) Easy Does It
  9. I enjoy the cordura BOC and freestyle handle more that I thought I would, too. The PC is more secure in the pouch. The way they've designed it. the elastic around the "mouth" of the BOC pouch holds the PC in quite securely, without making it difficult at all at pull time. And as long as the main canopyfills the corners of the pack tray well, the pud stays is place well, also. I haven't had a problem with it coming out. Easy Does It
  10. mmmmm - My wife would shit if she saw the math - Used rig, beer, one new container, three jumpsuits, two altimeters, beer, two audibles, four helmets, several pairs of gloves, 425 jumps, several pair of goggles, beer, two logbooks, airfare, tunnel time at Orlando, beer, camping, hotel, t-shirts, USPA membership, rating fees, entry fees, medical bills, beer, lost wages due to time off work (leaving early on nice days and injury-related-), repacks, beer, canopy repairs, rig repair, jumpsuit repair, gas to and from the DZ, beer, and so on - About $20,000.00 in four years or so - Could have paid for a new truck - Oh -wait, on top of all that I DID buy a new truck! I'm glad she doesn't lurk here! Easy Does It
  11. Did you get a reply from this guy? I'll PM the reply I got to you - Easy Does It
  12. You have absolutly no concept of what it takes to be in the gear business nor the types of customers that contact you. The customer that not only knows EXACTLY what they want, but what they NEED, or are QUALIFIED for, is one in 100. Everyone else needs help. On the average complete package deal I spent 10 to 12 e-mails, or phone calls, and 4 to 6 man hours just getting the rig ordered, not to mention follow up, assembly, and shipping. You hit the nail right on the head - I average about one complete system a month. I quote about 10 to 25 a month or more. But I really don't mind the work, it's fun, and I'm getting to know lots of new people, and most of all I'm learning a hell of alot. Easy Does It
  13. Para-gear sells them I beleive. Easy Does It

  20. That's good to know - I appreciate the input. This is a niche market to start with, and making a go of gear sales is a real challenge. Easy Does It
  21. There are several reasons a dealer might not advertise the price in thier ads and/or websites. For instance, some of the equipment may be imported, and the price varies with the exchange rate. Another reason may be that there is an agreement between the dealer and the supplier that the only price that they may publish is the full-pop retail price. Some manufacturers (and not just skydiving gear-) set a "minimum advertised price" for thier merchandise. And they do check - I accidently posted an incorrect price on my website, and the manufacturer gave me a polite phone call a few days later asking me to correct it, which I promptly did. Some dealers may use that to help weed out the tire-kickers from the more serious buyers, too. It doesn't always work that way, obviously. I do offer discounts on some of the equipment I sell, espcially if you're buying in bulk or putting a complete system together, but you've got to get touch with me and talk about it. Just my .02, I'm new in gear sales, and I've got alot to learn! Easy Does It
  22. Basics: Helmet - Goggles - Altimeter - Jumpsuit. Nothing wrong with a newbie with a fullface here in the US. Easy Does It
  23. They are "re-releasing" the Side FX I'm told - Word on the street is the have another new helmet coming out, and are offering helmet bags, too. I'm waitng for some pics to post on my website, and on the second site I'm building exclusively for 2K products here in the states.
