  1. I've jumped plenty of my daughter's pack jobs, no sweat - She'd watch me pack and ask me "Dad, you really gonna jump that trash??" - (she packs better than I - ) After she went through AFF she refused to pack for me anymore. Go figure. Easy Does It
  2. When you start having your paycheck direct-deposited to your account at the DZ........... Easy Does It

  4. What works for me - (And there's alot of good advice here - ) 1 - Speak/work with other experienced jumpers at your DZ. They know you and your skill level, it's a good thing. What I do - Depending on the length of the dive you need to make - I put my arms behind my back and basicall cup the bottom of my rig (care not to dislodge your hacky-) and extend my legs. I wear booties, and use my legs to control direstion and bend my knees to control pitch. Takes some practice, but that is what works for me with relative safety. Flare above and off to the side of the base, then appraoch as normal and fly to your grips. Discuss this with your peers, and enjoy!! Number 1 - Be safe! Number 2 - Have fun!! Easy Does It
  5. I went with a signature loan and 2nd hand gear when I first started. Also, make friends with the gear dealers at your DZ. Sometimes you can get some pretty good deals. Easy Does It

  9. Live in the good 'ol USA - Illinois - Spend about 7 % of my take-home pay. Gas around here currently runs about $3.00 to $3.15 a gallon. About $50.00 for a full tank in my Tacoma. I usually fill up once a week in the winter, and try to ride the motorcycle as often as possible in the summertime. Easy Does It
  10. "Healthy cohort" - Are they saying that a normal person (healthy cohort) would not leave the aircraft without a parachute, that one would have to be crazy to exit sans chute, and the only way to validate would to put a "crazy" person out with a chute, and a "normal" person out without a chute? 14. Get a Toyota. I've driven pickups all my life and my 04 Tacoma (PreRunner, ext cab, SR5 package) is by far the best truck I've ever owned. You don't neccessarily need to go new. Get one + - 2 years old with low mileage. Easy Does It

  20. A few years ago I busted my left ankle, had some hardware installed, etc. Injury occurred Nov. 13, 2004. I was back in the air on Safety Day 2005. Do your PT like a good kid. Keep up with it for a year. I wore a Davis level II brace the first couple months. You'll be fine. Easy Does It
