    We came up with this system because so many folks were wanting something to be able to install to facilitate the cutting away of their helmet. I'm sure there are allot of other great ideas out there as well. I just don't see anyone coming up with one to market. If it's so easy, why don't you sell them?     I know this is after the fact but for FYI to anyone else, we use a carbide bit on a dremel tool. We start with a bit size (smaller) than the size hole we will eventually need, and then work up to it.     I'm real sorry you are having problems with this and if you would just call us FIRST, we could send you out a replacement. We are not on this site 24/7 to read about these things and now that it's Monday, we would like to get this resolved for you. An email to us would have been replied to already if we had received one.     REMEMBER TO SMILE There is a good reason we all love this sport. It's fun, and nerve racking Since you are in So. Cal. I would suggest coming out to the tunnel in Perris and do 10-15 min. in there to regain some confidence. Just my .02 worth. We've all been where you are in some fashion.     I was just over there for lunch and it's getting pretty busy now. Sky surf was done and there was a guy skysurfing in his underwear (dirty briefs) yuk Opening ceremonies tomorrow. I don't have any standings so I won't guess. Everyone competing, please be safe and have a great time.     I just read in the incidents eport about an experianced person dieing at a high school demo because he hooked it in. I'm sure he is not the first and won't be the last unless we police "at least" this area of skydiving (in a public arena). This is just my opinion and was wondering what others thought about it.     I was told that only three things cause malfunctions: 1. Bad Packing. 2. Bad Maintenance 3. Bad body position. I really can't think of a mal that does not fit into those 3 areas. All or some in each. My function was a pilot chute rocking on opening and went over the leading edge and back through the lines to tie it off. Does this count?     I have been thinking about getting out of California and the Lake powell area looks real inviting. Is anyone out there that can give me some information regarding the job market and houseing costs? Any help would be appreciated.     I went through the same thing and what cured me was the SMILE. My instructor say how mad I was getting at myself and this statement was what it took to cure me "I thought we were supposed to be having fun up there"...DUH. Now I never leave the plane without a BIG SMILE on my face, it relaxes you so you can do your drills.
