My rigger is Al Frisby, He is a Master Rigger with over 30 years of experience, and is offering instruction in the craft of parachute rigging. Instruction includes the packing and maintenance for Seat, Chest and Back ratings. For information or appointment, call 909 675-5376 or email alfrisby69@msn.com He understands that not everyone can take off work for a week or two to get their ratings so he is offering an alternative by not making it any set time schedule. Call him with any questions. He is located in Perris so if you are in So. Calif. it would be better for you. Thanks for the advice. It seems that's the way everywhere nowadays. Our flight leaves at around 5:00 pm so we will be back at the airport by 3:00 anyway. The shrimp thing sounds yummy, we'll go look for it. Skydiving gave me a reason to live I'm not afraid of what I'll miss when I die...I'm afraid of what I'll miss as I live

Thanks, that's what I was looking for...something else to do other than sleep in the airport. It's not the best time of the year to go there, but the price was right. Skydiving gave me a reason to live I'm not afraid of what I'll miss when I die...I'm afraid of what I'll miss as I live

I think this is crap too. That's why I voted against him in the first place. I didn't want a bible thumping religious finatic running our contry. Division between church and state, ha! That's why the rest of the world is in turmoil, always fighting over religious beliefs. would you buy a helmet with impact absorbtion?
hottamaly replied to hottamaly's topic in Gear and Rigging
I read allot of talk regarding helmet protection or lack of except for the Protec. Would you be willing to sacrifice looks for a helmet that had better impact absorbtion (styrofoam) but would require to be bubblier looking to fit in the foam? New Bonehead - shrunk a bit due to low temp?
hottamaly replied to vonSanta's topic in Gear and Rigging
just to add a little bit to this. I know of 2 jumpers that lost their boneheads (one with a camera, one without) and they both said that it always seem to fit very snug at altitude, but under canopy, it was always really loose. Both were lost in freefall. We here at Bonehead feel that allot of people don't wear their helmets correctly on their heads (tilted back instead of directly on top) and after cinching them up, everyone needs to tack down the chin strap so it won't loosen. It doesn't matter what helmet you are wearing, if it is not placed properly on the head and not tightened down, it will probably come off eventually. It needs to be tightened on the ground so it's almost uncomfortable at altitude because it does loosen (due to air pressure) on the way down. My 2 cents worth Skydiving gave me a reason to live I'm not afraid of what I'll miss when I die...I'm afraid of what I'll miss as I live -
This issue should be a no brainer, IMHO If something is loose or comes loose, tighten it and put something on it so it won't loosen. I hear it all the time, about all styles of helmets, "It's been loosening on every jump, but I didn't know it would come off". At 120+ MPH. of coarse it will come off. Tighten it and tack it down... my 2 cents worth. Skydiving gave me a reason to live I'm not afraid of what I'll miss when I die...I'm afraid of what I'll miss as I live

I hear ya Lisa, my POS is constantly looking for something to take more money out of my pocket. No more domestics for me, next one I get will be MADE IN JAPAN. I drove a U Haul once to move out to Elsinore in the pouring down rain with wipers that would only do the dew slow wipe, in the dark on the 91 freeway. It sucked real bad. Sounds like your job is going well, though. Skydiving gave me a reason to live I'm not afraid of what I'll miss when I die...I'm afraid of what I'll miss as I live
