    One of the vidiots at my DZ had many issues with his LANC port wearing out. To eliminate the problem, he made a short jumper that is taped into the LANC port and stays there. He then connects the jumper to the lead for the CamEye. He did the same thing for the bite switch on his SLR. If the receiving end of the homemade jumper wears out, it is a lot easier to rebuild that than working on the camera. He has had great luck with it. I plan on doing the same thing when I build my helmet.

    :3: Just got my brand new, fresh off the sewing machine, right out of the back of the UPS truck, Ghost wing suit. Put 3 jumps on it and it was shweeeeeeet. Beer paid for that. Last jump of the day was a Birdeo with Headlicker as rider and Johnsw71 tracking right along side. Went off without a hitch. Fun as hell to be in a WS and have non-wingsuiters being able to fly with you. Then went out to dinner for some tasty Indian food. 50 donations so far. Give it a try.     Yep, here are my shots of the brand new Ghost I received on Friday. Didn't take the shots at the office since it was delivered to my house. All I can say is wow. The refinements from the prototype are impressive. The design and location of the inlets pressurize the wings quickly. On the first jump, was a little surprised at pull time just how firm the wings were. Had to take a second to let the wings deflate just a bit. On the second jump was ready for it and not an issue. Made three jumps this weekend. Compared to my Phacro, my times really increased. Wasn't able to really max out because my arms were tired from a 13 hour overtime shift the day before. Looking forward to seeing what it can do with fresh arms. Last jump of the day was a Birdeo. Even with the extra weight/drag of the rider, the suit was easy to fly.     I agree. Worked at one during college. My boss relied on college students for staff. We were an engineering college and understood the merchandise with little training to be able to help the customers. We didn't stay around long enough to get that many raises in pay which kept his costs down. He worked around our schedules since between the 5 of us students, we always had at least 2 to be at the store. It worked all the way around. Also agree on the fasteners. I went to HD to get some screws to attach my L bracket for my camera. The bins were full, but with all the wrong stuff. At my old Ace, we had 3-4 times more types of fasteners in about half the space and at less cost. And we kept them in stock. I miss my old Ace. 50 donations so far. Give it a try.     Any one else feel the earthquake that centered in Berkeley. I finally get a good nights sleep and get startled awake by a short but heavy shaking. It felt a lot heavier then the 4.2 as reported.     I learned in a KA. As long as you don't jump up, the horizontal stabilizer is not much of an issue. Billy, when you go out in a WS, hop out, keep your wings tucked and your head up to watch the plane. As soon as you see any part of the HS, open the wings and off you go. Only takes a second.     I agree. If I have to work to figure out if the gear you are trying to sell will work for me, it's an advert I'm not replying to. My biggest pet peeve is helmets. List the effin' size.     You need to hit the left coast more often. Haven't had the chance to jump with you. Hanging out was fun. You got off easy since I was such a cheap date. About flying. I do it mostly to hit the boogie circuit. I'm a child of a private pilot, so grew up in an airplane. By the time of wheels up, I'm asleep. Great for a commercial flight, but not when doing a coach jump. At times think I would like to change professions to get the perks. Other times,......naaa. 50 donations so far. Give it a try.
