    I have the HC 40. It doesn't use a docking station, cables just go in the side. It has LANC port. It is as narrow as the 42, and a good bit narrower than the 38/48. If you side mount, that makes a difference on riser slaps. I found a piece of aluminum channel that the camera fits in nice and tight for pretty good protection. It gets held in with the bottom screw and a side bungy. I use the Sony 0.6 and Diamond 0.3. I have no complaints with the camera. Got it for just over $200 on eBay.     Word on measuring a PD slider. Fold the slider in half. Pull tight at the fold and measure there. If you measure at the edge with the reinforcing tape, your measurements will be off. A rigger that measured mine didn't know this and I bought a replacement slider because mine was "small" compared to "standard". When I received the new one and it was the exact same size as my existing, I was a bit dissatisfied with my rigger's lack of knowledge. 50 donations so far. Give it a try.     Wasted a bunch of time looking at the video and photos. At 1:11 left on the video, two chicks are holding a couple cans of Bud Light. In photos of the '06 event, photo 80, 99 and 116 clearly shows beer cans. In photos of the '07 event, photo 7 and 8 show participants with beer cans. And the handle of the torch is a stack of cans of Bud. If you want to cause grief to a bunch of the Red Neck people like the council is doing to you, show these images to the council proving this approved event for the last several years has not been dry, as documented by their own website.     I haven't tried on clear coat finishes, but PineSol worked for me in the past. WD40 worked as well. Another name for the process they used is called chip sealing.     Earlier in my jumps numbers, I'd say let the TI decide. After seeing some close calls and shitty flying by newby videographers, I now agree with the 500 jump minimum as a place to start.     I've seen the same thing. I've helped with some first flights with the student using a Phantom. The new birds were very experienced jumpers and had no issues, including regrabbing wing grippers. I put a few jumps on a Prodigy and felt more stable on my Phantom. My progression for 1st 25 jumps was Classic, GTi, S3 and finally purchased a Phacro.     I had the same issues when I packed the new to me S170. I was told of the slammer rep the Sabre1 had, so I "4-4" rolled the nose tight to the center, shoved the nose waaaaaay in, made sure the slider was quartered and rolled the tail tight. I didn't like how slow it opened. So one by one, did less of the listed steps. Started by rolling the nose cells less. Then not rolling but tucking the 4 cells next to the center cell. Openings were faster, just as soft, but a little off heading. After playing with it, now I just grab all the nose & give it a light tuck and quarter the slider and pull out out so it covers the nose. Roll the tail just enough to keep the canopy contained as I get the air out. It opens mostly on heading, quick but not hard. I tend to like the "brisk" opening. It has never slammed me.     Cornie, I drive to SD a fair amount. I have had the best luck with 210 to 15 or 215. It is a bit longer distance, but I tend to make better times. I have hit heavy traffic through LA at any time of day. It sucks. Lawrocket is dead on about listening to the radio and the locations it tends to be slow. Have a map in case you need to hop freeways.
