What happen to Packing Cathy @ z-hills?
Kolla replied to mirage62's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Normally there are at least two sides to each story - seems like we have only heard one side here so far. Z Hills is a great place to visit - and since I pack my own main I will definitely continue to enjoy visiting the great people down there - even if I don't visit very often -
Oh great i have to swim a mile for my swimming class final
Kolla replied to Viking's topic in The Bonfire
Oh yes there is - I watched a young lady swim across a lake that is a tad over a mile - butterfly the whole way. Her mom did freestyle, and Sara fairly easily beat her mom -
Any chance he would consider going up a size - to a Vengeance 170 or Stiletto 170 or something comparable? If not, please ask him to be very careful - the Vengeance has a quite steep dive and is a canopy made for more experienced canopy pilots than he appears to be. http://www.performancedesigns.com/education.asp - click on "Vengeance" for it's flight characteristics. Man... soon my little Colleen will be a famous DJ! And Kim, hang in there - Little C will be back on the right coast soon - where she belongs Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

Yeah - sorry about that, the Vengeance trims will be added to the website soon, and also trims for the EZ tandem canopies

The Froggies use F-111 Lightnings, which can be taken to terminal. Lightnings made out of Zero Porosity fabric are not designed to go through openings at terminal. Blue ones, kolla Blue Skies Magazine

I wanted to let all the riggers that frequent Dropzone.com know that PD now has line trims available on the website - in a PDF format. They can be found under the "Education" section (http://www.performancedesigns.com/education.asp) - scroll all the way to the bottom, and select the model from the drop down menu. CRW trims are not posted at this time, but if you need those just contact PD's customer service department. Blue ones, Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

Learn German! It's a cool language that comes equipped with BIG words that are very intimidating. Yell at the offending parties in German and watch them bow in submission to whatever you say Icelandic works well too - but it's not as universally accepted. Seriously though - keep on fighting... it's for a good cause - we need to keep the posts in the "incidents" forum to a minimum! Blue Skies Magazine

What is TLML?? Or who is, rather.... But, your job obviously sucks - maybe we can do something about that boss of yours when I come down for the Bytch Boogie!! K Blue Skies Magazine
-
Or better yet... go to PD's website and click on Education (http://www.performancedesigns.com/education.asp) and get them in a PDF format online!!! We just got the trims online and I'm VERY excited about it - but little things like that just tend to make me very happy. Especially on a Friday. Blue ones! Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

Yeah Betsy!! How come you don't get all squiggly and jiggly in freefall like the rest of us??? I look like the life is being squashed out of me, and there she is, all smiling and pretty..... - but those pictures are really awesome

What a great idea Wendy!! I'll see if I can't pack some reserve demos, and after you demo the reserve, you'll fall in love with it, and buy one from Lisa. Or actually from Jack, since Lisa will be out playing Get ready for hop & pops Blue ones, Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

This is the first time I have heard that statement. I haven't had to use my reserve yet, but have jumped the demo ones in a couple of different sizes, and was impressed with them all! It would be great if you could get more information as to what those people don't like about the 126 - the more details the better. We do sell a whole bunch of 126's so I'd say that right there indicates that it's a pretty darn good canopy! Blue ones, Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

yeah... another biologist here - prooven quite helpful when dealing with skydivers whilst working at PD Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

Yup, soft openings and the lines seem to last forever compared to the other stuff! It's mainly video guys & gals that go for the Dacron, or people that have sensitive back/necks, and need the extra padding on opening. It does increase the pack volume a bit, and those that have changed from microline to dacron say they notice a little bit more drag in the lines. Blooos! kolla Blue Skies Magazine

Vectran is a possibility - we haven't offered that on the Stiletto so far, as there for that canopy it isn't a huge advantage. It would just take time to get all the templates set up, and then to reline with Vectran would be a tad more expensive than to do it with Microline. PD doesn't offer HMA for any type of canopy, at the moment at least - who knows what the R&D boys might come up with though
-
Well Ray, if you promise to be a good boy, you can get a ride with me - I'm not missing out on the first annual Bytch Boogie!! Kollz Oh, and I might be the biggest bioch of that boogie, so watch Blue Skies Magazine
-
Oh my... I need lessons in how to do that! I'm a thrower - I'll toss anything thats over 3 days old - and yes, that has come back to bite me in the butt! And those stains - my guess is that they are there to stay, if you get them out, let me know how!! Congrats on your new home!! Kolla Blue Skies Magazine
-
You can choose between 550 & 825 microline, you can even get a set of dacron lines if your heart desires

You will Am calling you tomorrow for cc# details and then it's off to you! Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

Yeah!!! Now that you mention it, I feel kinda cheated about lack of buttons too!! Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

Never got the chance to meet Tommy in person. However - via e-mail and on the phone that boy just radiated love and compassion, and he had such a happy outlook on life. My love to the other two Badfish boys. Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

There are no packing volume charts out for the Sabre2. Pack volume figures can be very distorted (if you want to read more about that, check out PD's website http://www.performancedesigns.com/education.asp - click on "Mystery of Pack Volume"). I would recommend that you contact the manufacturer of the container you plan to use, they can tell you exactly what fits where. Many of them have their sizing charts listed on their website.
