Hey.... PM me too if you have good running tips
-
Congrats woman!! I'm very pleased to have you in my backyard. With this, I'll have to make my way to Sebastian for a few jumps!! Can't wait to have you around
-
Thanks!! It's just a regular tie-dye - albeit a really nicely done one. It could be just the photo, but I think it's the character of the rig shining through - it's a very happy little rig. But metallic sheen... now that would be cooL!l!! . Blue Skies Magazine

I jump a Vector Micron - and love it so much that I have a picture of it with every post I make on dropzone.com

You're on!! We need to catch up where we left off in panama city beach - we'll have some drinks by the pool... or pond, we'll work something out!! Blue Skies Magazine
-
And I'll be there... working... - but should still be able to squeeze in a couple of jumps - will be sure to stop by the dz.com tent and say hi! Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

Mmm.... PD is brewing up something that smells really sweet, I can definitely confirm that much . As of now, only the test jumpers really know what its going to be like - and it's going to be a little while until we have the new toy ready to play with. However, they keep coming down with big grins on their faces, so it looks like they are having a good time! How long will we have to wait?? I really don't know, but you jumping beans out there can be sure that it doesn't go out on the market until it's been fully tested and is ready to be added to the PD flight line. It will be worth the wait - I never thought I'd part with my Stiletto, but this new thing just might be my next canopy.... Blue ones, Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

Bill, now you got me curious - what is Law # 1? Blue ones, Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

Hi Mocha-girl!! Besides on working on your flaring technique, you might want to have the canopy checked out - it is possible that the porosity levels of the canopy are getting pretty high and that could make your flare suffer, even at lower wingloadings. Also, there are canopies out there that make life for us slightly to moderately "flare-challenged" a LOT better - such as the Silhouette, the Sabre2 and the Spectre, just to name a few good ones. Along with some good canopy coaching, a different model of canopy might be a good move - get something that has a little bit more forgiveness to it than an older PD does. Hang in there, I'm sure you will come to get a grip of the flare - I did everything backwards for the first 100 jumps or so, but finally got the hang of it Blue Skies Magazine

Well - I can't really speak for anyone but Performance Designs, but the athletes we sponsor (and are very proud to sponsor!) are in most all cases very experienced jumpers. They are a wealth of information about the canopies we make - and nothing less than experts on flying them. I'm pretty sure that any member of the PD's Factory Team would be glad to to help a jumper out - anything from what would be appropriate as your first canopy to how to nail that kick ass swoop under your current main - or what might be the correct canopy for you as you aspire to become a better pilot. By all means, don't dismiss this awesome source for information just because those guys are sponsored - those guys live and breath canopies and flight, and every time I get with any of the boys of PD's factory team they conduct themselves in a professional and pleasant manner - I'm sure that will be your experience too if you get in touch with them. Hah! I've never answered this one - woo hoo it's my turn! My name is Kolla, and I work at PD - lovingly known as the "Demo Queen" (unless for those that try to harm my demos.... then I might get a little evil). Blue Skies Magazine

Hey no worries - I know where to find you. And you gotta find something more exciting to hold ransom.... that 176 isn't going to buy you the magic number! But then there is always bribery... ooohh... maybe put some chocolate in the box with that 176 and then we can talk Blue Skies Magazine

LOL NICE try Kevin!! For such a sneaky little way of asking I'm almost inclined to tell you... - but nope, my lips are sealed until June 30th! Bloooos! Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

Our web master will be posting pictures (the same ones that are in skydiving magazine to show what they look like). In the meantime... you can imagine a pilgrim hat that sits on top of the riser, that is roughly the shape

Hi all! Actually a better number to call PD at is 386 738 2224 - that is the main number (so it shouldn't ring busy unless we have all snuck home early for the weekend ). Also, since we have had a few people call wondering if you can install the SRC's and still take the slider down - the answer to that is NO. Once the SRC's are installed, the slider will not come down below the risers (it can sit just at the very top where the covers are installed). Have a great weekend everyone! Hey Alex - do you subscribe to any local magazines? The ad is going to appear in a few magazines in Europe as well, so I'm sure you can get your hands on one soon You have a few weeks still to come up with the question and a good answer Blooooos!! Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

SMART reserve...please give opinions...
Kolla replied to Michele's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Are you jumping this weekend?? Wanna give it a go? If I remember correctly I think I have a cute little 143 on risers, ready to go as soon as Lisa tells me to ship it Demoing your reserve is a brilliant idea - I can tell you that the first time I jumped a reserve demo I was scared shitless - but it really gave me confidence in both the canopy and my abilities to fly it. So SkyBytch..... lead with an example and give it a go!! Bloooos! Kolla Blue Skies Magazine -
Hey there! Just wanted to say thanks for all the info - it really makes a difference to get the updates from you. I'm glad the surgery went well - now we just have hope for the best in recovery! Please pass my love on to Nancy and Chris when you see them! Hugs, Kolla Blue Skies Magazine

Ahheemm.... they are all on risers - but at the moment only the ones we take with us on the road come equipped with bags and pilot chutes. So - you will have to put the d-bag + pilot chute from whatever container you plan to use on the demo canopy, but that is a relatively minor operation

Slut's advice is a sound one - get the one YOU like That said.... I've owned both, and my flavor is definitely vanilla - just look at this pretty Vector!!!

Hey Tim - interesting stuff! Is your pilot chute made out of ZP or F-111 type fabric? And out of curiosity, what container were you jumping? Let me know how it goes once you have a few more jumps on your canopy this way
