  1. I am fairly certain that the PREVIOUS attacks in India, and Mumbai, have been carried out as results of the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan mainly over the Kashmire reagion. What makes you think that this has anything to do with Bush?
  2. I work with a Mexico National that uses "cheers" and "lads" all the time. It is funny...
  3. Been working for 12 hours already... but not in the states so my day is almost over anyway... working thanksgiving but some of us Ex-pats are cooking a bird tomorrow and staying up late to watch some football!!
  4. water. (Saudi sucks) But next Thursday I am going to Bahrain to get drunk! They have that kind of stuff there!!
  5. So lets see… You and your company’s client are in collusion to have you move to a third company and take the first companies business there? Did we skip ethics day at the university? First, you are an employee and representative of your company. When your company’s client “asked” you to relocate to another firm, taking them with you, why didn’t you tell your company about this? It is a woeful situation on both parties. They should not try to get you to move and you should have the integrity to tell your current employer. Now, you are pissed off because your boss is adding someone else from his company to that account? Perhaps he or she is just smart enough to see something is amiss in your relationship with his/her client and is taking steps to ensure they don’t leave. Seems pretty darn astute to me. Also, why is the other company in your charge languishing so? Are you just taking the easy road with the big dollar, easy money company and spending no time to understand the other clients needs? Your boss asking just a little to much from ya? Of course, we are just talking hypothetically.
  6. I fly between the middle east and states often enough to have seen most of the movies that are up on Qatar airways and Emirates.... so I was down to watching things that I really had no interest in seeing. Ended up throwing on Flawless just for something to do... EXCELLENT movie and very glad I did.

    TI question

Where I jumped tandems I asked Bob the DZO for more money when taking the big, ugly ones... he said fine as long as I gave him a discount on the small, hot chicks.... I decided not to push it...
  8. 21 ... guess I pay attention to crap.
  9. There is nothing like it!! How else, other than being there, can you explain a culture or city? I have been to so many places and seen so many things that my heart goes out to those that have yet to see the rest of the world. Tomorrow I leave for Doha, Qatar. I sent an email to the DZ in the UAE but havent heard back yet. still undecided on taking my rig.. I have been to Europe so many times that my passport has had pages added.... there seems to be one common thread, one common line that binds me to those other spirits that are there with me... skydiving.... we are such a small community, such a small group that we can go from Eloy to Z-hills to Lillo and strike up a conversation and find a thread of people that we both know... sorry for the rant, but it is so cool being part of this community.. this world... i Love Skydiving!
  10. I have a friend that has relocated to Roanoke and is trying to find the closest DZ. Any suggestions? thanks
  11. Pride... injured that a few times... mortified in the morning at the utterly stupid things I had done and friends I had alienated or decided to fight. Oh to be 21 again... but I like this stage much more. A glass of wine with dinner or a couple beers after a day of jumping is fine. It takes 2 days to recover from a hard night now.
  12. It wasnt specific.. alive or dead... Layne Stanley: Lead singer of Alice in Chains
  13. Drums: Neil Pert Bass: Jason Newstead (he is an ass, but he can play) Rhythm Guitar: Yngwie Malmsteen Lead Guitar: Eddie Van Halen Vocals: Layne Stanley (coolest voice ever!) Edit: for spelling
  14. it gets easier.. and it gets better. Time heals all things. When in the middle of the frey no one can see that the pain and hurt will pass. It does. 6 months ago I split with my wife.... last night I made dinner for a wonderful woman that I really like and for the first time, I kissed her. It was incredible. It does get better.

    Trust a cheat?

so the BF that was getting cheated on was controlling, wanted to know where she was, didnt trust her going out with firends... seems to me the guy had his head on straight... as she was CHEATING ON HIM!! Perhaps he started asking all thos things and making all those demands because he could see/feel that something was amiss with this young lass... No way do you trust her, you are the boy toy for the moment.. you will get old and she will want something new.
  16. Just saw Counting Crows and Goo Goo Dolls... Would love to see the original Alice in Chains...
  17. Hello my Spanish brethren! I am going to be in Spain with a day to kill and am trying to find a dropzone close to La Coruna. I haven’t had much luck trying to use “Google Earth” to find a nearby DZ. My last trip to Spain was excellent and I really enjoyed Lillo.. Perhaps that is the closest again..
  18. excellent choice and my first choice as sexiest song ever is that Paula Cole song... One favorite line in another song is: There aint nothin wrong, with a little bump and grind...
  19. YES!!! YES!!!! Welcome to the club. We will put your card on order now that you have come to the dark side! drinking is FUN!! It will never leave you, you cant piss it off (but it makes you piss) and it can always be there for you. I say make it something good. Yes, good... Go get a bottle of Tres Generaciones and let the party get started!!
  20. I am not only not scared of you but I have been waiting for you!! Challenge me. Make me think. I will do the same to you. Not in a mean or evil way but in a way that is so stimulating that the conversation itself leads from the couch to the bedroom without missing a beat.. and in there it is the same challenge, but with love and life that is so intertwined that the lines blurr. challenge and be challenged. Love and be loved. Dont ever settle. ... so where are you?
  21. I use T-mobile. AWFUL here in the states. The coverage is spotty at best. Works great everywhere in the EU and just about everywhere outside the states.
  22. When I read this I pulled out my passport to see where I have been... Thailand, Singapore, Guam, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, England, Ireland, Turkey, India, France, Holland, Germany, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand.. and yesterday Canada. All those places, and all those things to see and explore... but like Dorothy said, there is no place like home.
