Do you have healthcare currently? What is your view on the bill?
tumbler replied to bluesilver30's topic in Speakers Corner
So with your thinking my kids should struggle and strive, fight and force like I had to because someone else's dad rode the short bus and didnt give 2 shakes about his kids education? My goodness you must have been beaten as a child. Punish me and my kids because they have their education paid for by me busting my ass for 20 years so they dont have to work as hard as I did. This is why socialism sucks ass... the ones that work hard are penalized so the lazy fucks can keep up. Sure am glad our forefathers didnt think like this! -
NEWS FLASH there are already a lot of your fellow americans who are already living in third world conditions. We have many rural areas with health care that is ludicrous. We have many cities where health care is out of reach for LARGE portions of our society. Many of us are paying for services that we will never get while a few people get rich off their swindling the majority of us. Yeah.. great country we got there. Just think what kind of country we could have if we were spending the money we are using to pay the interest on all that debt for actually making this a better country instead of making a few people very very wealthy. Your kind of like a brand spanking new canopy... no matter how much I try to contain you and get you in the bag you're just so slippery you are out of control. How can you possibly complain about paying the nations debt when the new law will increase that debt? We are doing nothing to pay it down with this.. if you are saying we are then please stop responding and go back to Starbucks for another double mocha latte and leave the thinking for the adults.

I am sorry young lady but you need to argue better than that. Count on another 3 Trillion to the bottom line with this little law when all is said and done. That from jack Welch on MSNBC today. May not like him, but he did alright running GE for 20 years. We showed the rest of the world we cared when we elected Obama... they cheered in the streets in Paris, Rome, Riyadh and Beijing... Who is cheering now? I personally do not care what anyone outside the effected zone thinks as they have no dog in this hunt. Just us, you and me and everyone else reading this and the idea that the country I love may be considered third world by the time your grandchildren are old enough to think for themselves.

That is one broad brush you paint with. I am either with you or evil? I read about your thinking in history books... The country has been living recent history with yours..... Wars and a failed economy..... If that is the extent of your argument then you are nothing but a waste of time. I am not so easy to paint there Picasso.... I believe Bush was a puppet to Diamond Dick. I suppose I must be one of the few people that don't believe either party, either doctrine, fully. I am smart enough to know that this particular law will cost more than it is worth to the country as a whole. Now pull your head out of the White Elephants ass and give a critical eye to what has just happened to this country, then come back and explain to me why i am wrong, without the political double speak so prevalent to those that follow a simple line like a lemming.

Ever hear this one????? "We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." WE are all in this together..... I would rather live in a country... that lives up to this promise. I once swore to uphold that Constitution. I guess it is not so important to so many of those who claim to be so Patriotic that they forget their fellow Americans. I call BULLSHIT!! Now I am not patriotic because I dont agree with this law? My goodness what are you smoking? I care about and tend to my fellow Americans, more than most I believe. That does not give you or the government the right to jack me while I am going about my business. That is all this law does, jack me out of my money and give it to those that dont care to work like we do. It seems the gay unicorns are on the stampede. None of us are more American or patriotic than the next. This is not a democrat or republican thing. It is a right and wrong thing. This bill is wrong in so many ways.

Then we agree. :-) Overall, throughout all the threads the last two days I have enjoyed the banter and have taken several moments of pause to reflect on my own beliefs. These have been great conversations.

I think our definitions of opportunity must be different. You seem to be mixing it with desire, drive and a penchant to achieve. Just because they are not willing to take advantage of the opportunities does not mean the opportunities are not there... Lazy is lazy... it is not an excuse for a lack of opportunities and chances to better yourself. This law will only promote another level of entitlement, and more of your dollars and mine to the freeloading members of our society.

Bill I am sorry but your statement is not accurate. I volunteer at the City Mission in Schenectady New York. I work with homeless people that are trying to make something of themselves. I teach a 10 week course called "life skills". It is about working, getting a job, keeping a job, moving up at work and how to manage life. Every person at the mission/homeless shelter has the opportunity to come into this program. Many do not because it takes effort, work, dedication to come off the governments tit. It males me crazy to see able bodied, mentally healthy people blow off work time and again because they can and the system continues to take care of them. They ALL have a chance. Every single one of them. They have a chance because the war mongering, fire breathing, baby killing people like me really do care. As do the gay unicorn people that fart health care rainbows... This law is nothing more than another free tool to be used and abused by people that know how to do it best... and cost me more in taxes.
-
Yes. I agree. I have a job that offers health insurance. Worked hard to get it, work hard to keep it. What in the world makes you think the government can run this in any kind of fashion that will work? Social Security is a joke, the Welfare system does nothing more than perpetuate an attitude of entitlement and recidivism while providing no real motivation to force an end or closure to the individual within the process. Now we have a new health care bill that will cost untold dollars, no way to pay for, benefit only a few of the millions of people in this country and cost everyone that has a job more money. How is this good for me? I want only one thing from the government; leave me the fuck alone.

Now I am starting to understand your stance on so many things...Billvon is Beelzebub.

That was post 48,666 for you... Not just a coincidence is it!!! :-)

Let the punishment of the working middle class begin. I mean really, why does the President hate me? I have worked hard my entire life, make a decent wage and have never asked the government for a handout. I have no problem paying my taxes and going to serve on jury duty.... but this health care bill is complete bullshit. Now, I am punished for busting my ass. I have health care, I work for it, I pay for it, I dont need the government to give it to me. There are things we need to fix: the entitlement that many poor feel when the get their "paychecks" from the government; The need to stay sick so the handouts continue to come. We all can do things to stop this cycle and personally I do my part but this plan is over the top.

Have you been to Saudi Quade? The Religious Police are far from secret. They have uniforms and stand out on the street. Everyone knows who they are and where they are. Nothing secret about it.
-
Not everyone in Saudi believes the same thing... painting "everyone" or "everything" with a single brush just isn't right. http://arabnews.com/opinion/columns/article32074.ece

Just got BC2 yesterday... right off the bat I think MW2 is way better! The hitchy story line in BC2 is annoying. Online PS3 on MW2 I am Skyjnky if anyone wants to hook up and stalk people! :-)

So Ron preaches isolationism... lets no longer be the policeman of the world. Are we safer now than we were 8 years ago? Someone has to be the stick, someone needs to care what happens outside our borders and take a stance, and actions when whatever happens is not to our liking. I am a Ron Paul fan. We have spent far to much and gotten far to little back for the investment.. investment in money and blood. I guess I am of the opposite opinion of Ron. Send more troops to the war, Send every troop we have and end it now or fade into the abyss of history in a part time, half hearted war that some support, some dont and no one understands.

from CNN.. http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/03/08/dating.game.killer/index.html?hpt=T2 CNN) -- Before he was a convicted serial killer, Rodney Alcala was a winning bachelor on "The Dating Game." ........ "Bachelor No. 1 is a successful photographer who got his start when his father found him in the dark room at the age of 13, fully developed," host Jim Lange said. "Between takes you might find him skydiving or motor-cycling. Please welcome Rodney Alcala." Really?

I have to agree on both accounts... Carry Underwood totally blew the national anthem and the WHO are so old I cant believe they can still stand. It is time for the NFL to take off the panties and understand that the public might be OK with someone that is a little racy...

OK.. going to date myself and really I dont care. I have Encore on and am watching some scenes from the US festival in 1983. I think that those 4 days are the best days of music ever generated by any group, genre or team. This was, and is the benchmark by what every festival is marked against. It was a feeling that cannot be reproduced today.... I cannot explain to you the crowd, the feeling, the vibe... Stevie Nicks singing "stand back".. there is no woman ever that I wanted more. It was by far the best concert ever.... no argument.

Lita Ford and Ozzy in "Close My Eyes forever" was incredible. I actually liked that entire album from her; and find her very doable.
