  1. Yes, but 27 > 20, and we can't assume those moderates would have been evenly split. "The rest of his voters would have stayed home had he not been on the ballot" is a pretty dubious claim, at best. Keep telling yourself that, if you like. I see you're still focusing on that single datum (which has already been counted as an incumbent defeat), while ignoring the rest. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! 2. You think? I have to disagree. I've noticed the hotter the girl (long legged, flat bellied, perky boobied and amazing assed) the more yummy her pussy is. Why am I left with the opinion that ANY pussy you see would be yummy. Because unicorn steaks are tasty? Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

  5. Why? He was THE Federalist. He understood the danger of states' rights and the necessity of a national government to which the states must be subordinate. He recognized that a small national government was the problem, not the solution. He first convinced political leaders of the need to replace the Articles of Confederation, and then, as the most prolific writer of the Federalist Papers, proceeded to convince the people, and thus the states, of ratifying the Constitution. He understood the need for a national bank, and the value of a national debt (I'm not so sure he would approve of the size of the current debt, though.) He also recognized the need for government intervention in the economy. He had allegiance to no state and put his country first. He was an effective military officer, both on George Washington's staff, and as a leader of troops. He was extremely intelligent, and made no apologies for it. He was gifted in the power of persuasion, and had impressive insight into effective government. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

  11. George Zimmerman’s Story Continues To Shift I suspect spending more than ten seconds on the search (that's about all I spent) would probably yield other sources and/or examples. Wow... that site is really, really stretching to say Zimmerman is shifting his story. It probably seems that way to anyone who has already convinced themselves that he is innocent. 12. That is a sound observation. Much like pointing out that toy didn't communicate that idea. The words you used? Invented by others. The thought youy transitted? You didn't write that. Someone else did it. Pointing out that you couldn't have communicated that thought without people like me reading it is simply common sense. But to suggest that it isn't your thought? That's a whole different thing. You know the difference. I haven't seen any passage from Obama stating that an entrepreneur's thought isn't his/her own. Would you be so kind as to provide a link? Thanks. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

  16. Yes, but 27 > 20, and we can't assume those moderates would have been evenly split. "The rest of his voters would have stayed home had he not been on the ballot" is a pretty dubious claim, at best. Nonetheless, the merit of my claim is not dependent on Perot as a spoiler. I calculated the p-value without even taking it into consideration. Like the way you tried to disregard LBJ's reelection? Your the last person who should be calling out anyone on "bad statistics." Examining elections with lousy economies is a horrible idea when trying to examine the effect of incumbency on election results. I chose since WWI, since that period encompasses all of the presidential elections in which any of over 95% of current voters have voted. (Going back to Coolidge's reelection campaign would encompass all presidential elections in which any of 100% of current voters have voted.) Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! 17. What "unchoreographed swipe at small biz" is that? A recent analysis by the U.S. Treasury found that only 2.5 percent of small business owners would pay higher taxes (the survey looked at businesses with incomes and deductions of less than $10 million). In expressing concern for "small" business, Republicans often use an overly broad definition that includes mega-wealthy hedge fund managers and other firms organized as partnerships. Obama is right when he notes that 98 percent of American taxpayers wouldn't be asked to fork over another dime.Source And But to what extent would Obama’s tax plan actually affect small businesses? In its latest estimate last month, Congress’s nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation found that in 2013, just 3.5 percent of small business tax filers would pay a higher rate — about 940,000 individuals, many of whom are lawyers and doctors in partnerships. But those few percent account for 53 percent of all small business income.Source And As even House Speaker John Boehner has been known to admit, only 3 percent of small firm proprietors would be affected by these higher taxes, precisely because what’s taxed is profits, not gross revenue. Relatively few people—whether they’re highly skilled professionals, managers of large firms, or owners of small businesses—are successful enough to have more than $250,000 in take-home pay. Those who do, however, derive political benefit from the evident confusion of more humble business owners. 19. Your exact words: "Wonder why dad didn't take him to dinner? Punishment? … If he wasn't allowed to dinner, why was he out unknowingly all night long? " You're trying to imply that Martin is somehow at fault for being killed while returning from the store unarmed and minding his own business. That's blaming the victim. Math tutoring available. 23. [ur]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ross_Perot[/url] That certainly doesn't prove your assertion that he wasn't a spoiler. It also doesn't prove my assertion that he was, but it shows that my assertion is more likely to be true. Besides, even if he wasn't a spoiler, the p-value still suggests that, since WWII, being an incumbent is advantageous in a US presidential election. An 82% confidence level isn't conclusive, but it's sufficient for laying the smart money. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
