Right. It's unfortunate you can't seem to look at the Constitution objectively. Your reading comprehension w/r/t my posts seems to be more than a little lacking, as well. What, you don't like your own tactics being used against you If you think those are my tactics, then it would seem that you've not read any of my posts. SCOTUS has interpreted the Constitution such that the general welfare clause gives Congress authorities additional to those given by subsequent clauses of the section. SCOTUS has also interpreted Amendment 1 as requiring a separation of church and state. If you disagree with those assertions, please share with us which case law you are relying on to support your conclusion. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

You first - I'm still waiting for the reply on how Fed.gov can dictate that I buy anything. Explained time and again already. Do a search. So, when some future congress states that it's "for the general welfare" that everyone send their kids to religious schools, you'll have no complaint - good to know. You might want to check out a document called the United States Constitution, particularly Amendment 1. It appears you're unfamiliar with the document. After you finish reading that, you might try reading the related SCOTUS case law, establishing a wall between church and state. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

That already happens with many states (mostly red ones). While it may not be fair, it isn't Unconstitutional as has been claimed. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

I never thought I'd say this, but you're absolutely right. I think you'll find that Medicaid is jointly funded by states and the federal government, and already has federal funding disbursed unequally among the states. As the federal Medicaid taxes are collected via taxing income, the sixteenth amendment allows Congress to collect the funding "without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration." Sorry, I didn't realize you didn't want to stay on topic. All of the sources addressed the same thing. The newest one showed that the issue was no longer relevant to the legislation, essentially superseding all of your other sources. If you can't show how the states will be treated significantly different w/r/t taxation under the legislation, then your assertion is unsupported. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! From your own source: At least one Congressional leader says lawmakers are dropping the controversial “Cornhusker Kickback” from the final version of their massive health care reform package. Gannett News Service reported on Tuesday that lawmakers were removing the provision — a backroom, sweetheart deal between Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson and his Democrat bosses to give his state a financial advantage (to the detriment of all other taxpayers) in return for his crucial 60th vote to pass the health care bill. “The agreement between the House and the Senate will exclude this Nebraska language,” Congressman Rob Andrews (D-NJ) said. “The final bill will treat all states equally on the Medicaid matter.” Even left in, it doesn't cause the states to be treated significantly different w/r/t how Congress taxes them, which is the criteria necessary to support the assertion. That doesn't even come close to supporting the assertion that states will be treated significantly differently from one another under the proposed legislation. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

If you haven't been following the news enough to know what the differences are, then why are you commenting on it? Feel free to enlighten me. Nothing is showing up in Google news about states being treated differently. And with this post you really want to be taken seriously? I'm sorry. By the way your posts read, it sounded like you had some sources to back up your claims. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

Are you suggesting that Congress is considering legislation for less than all fifty states? Are you saying that the legislation treats various states significantly different from one another? You're kidding right? Hello...Nebraska...Florida...LMAO... What's funny is how people keep naming states without explaining the significant differences in their treatment under the legislation. You are aware that the founding father protected slavery in the Constitution, right? And are you aware that this same document was brilliantly written (on purpose) to correct this ? No, it didn't, at least not without being amended. It actually protected the importation of slaves from Congressional prohibition and Constitutional amendments prior to 1808. Math tutoring available. That would be a fair explanation. Except for the fact that he was talking about 'services' while you went straight to taxes, I would agree. Given that, it appears that the misinterpretation was yours. Wrong again, sir. He claimed that the legislation "fully burned the Constitution to ashes," which speaks to the legitimacy, not the justification. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

I see where you're going with this, but to impose a lack of spending on a service as income is clearly a flawed logic. I highlighted the pertinent parts for you so you might see the unflawed logic. while that *might* be a valid argument for the legitimacy of the penalty tax, it is not a justification for the mandate itself. If you look back, you'll see that I was responding to a post about the legitimacy of the penalty tax. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!

Rhys, What objections to the NIST's conclusions do the "truthers" have that have not already been addressed? I'm not asking for a link to a conspiracy Web site; I'm asking for specific objections to the data analysis of NIST. Personally, I've yet to hear about any objections that have not already been adequately addressed. Math tutoring available. Only $6! per hour! First lesson: Factorials!
