Remember, it is the Republican Party who cares about the people.
DaVinci replied to Lucky...'s topic in Speakers Corner
Your ACTIONS define you... Not your job. Sitting on your butt collecting unemployment instead of trying to work says all I need to know about your views on life. Yes, flexible is doing what it takes to make ends meet, not sucking on the Govt tit and doing nothing. Got it... you don't know me, but somehow think you are qualified to make statements about me. Like always, you just make up stuff and say things you are unable to prove. When called on it, you go on some rant. Only if you think it is better to be a drain on society than be productive.... And it is clear what side of that line you are on. Thats rich..... Just earlier you were claiming you dont know me... yet here you are claiming to know me. So which is it? Can you show me where I have claimed to be a Republican? Or are you just pulling things out of your butt again? Huh, only you would read that into what I said. I want a guy with a good work ethic.... It seems you don't know what that is and therefore can't understand the concept. Well only YOU seem to label anyone that does not agree lock step with you as "X". Well you that is because you only read what you want to read. Read post #137 directed to YOU here: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2531318;search_string=military;#2531318 "My point is pretty simple, I got out a few years ago and my unit they encouraged us to think under fire. So maybe my unit was "special", but more likely your time in was different than modern service. The things I had to use to do my job was MUCH more technical than the weapons of my father." So, I directed a post TO YOU where I said I was in the military.... Just like normal, you ignore data that does not support your opinion. I just don't wear it on my sleeve like you do. I could post my DD214, but you would ignore it and honestly, I am afraid you would take my SS# and use it. Actually you attacked my source. See I read yours, but you attacked mine. Not my fault I worked smart and moved up and you were unable to do that. I worked outside till I moved up. I get paid for my brain, not my back now. Don't blame me for you having a GED: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2528417;search_string=military;#2528417 I am... I worked hard to get here and am constantly working to move forward. I went from a guy that got paid for using his back to a guy that gets to sit at his house on the beach and send emails directing guys like you. I'd call that a success. You may not agree. But getting paid for your brain is better than getting paid for your back, IMO. -
Still waiting Lucky "Guess you never read the actual article, only others opinions of it. Or you could provide the quotes where McChrystal said anything like you claim. " Care to provide the quotes? Or will you admit you don't have a clue here?

Sure... whatever you say. That and your "extensive legal experience" You might want to check up on PhillyKev that was on here. Someone like you called their employer. -
Yeah with a MICRO uzi.... A weapon that was selected by his father since he thought a smaller weapon would be easier to control. Plus, they didn't use the stock. And the person who was supervising knew very little about FA fire. Again.... People who don't know firearms making stupid choices. When I let first timers shoot FA for the first time, the gun is carefully chosen, they shoot it in "semi" till they and I feel comfortable, and they are only given three rounds on FA till they and I feel comfortable. But the fact still stands.... Modern guns don't just "go off".

Got it... YOU break a federal law and it is not your fault. You like to blame others all the time for YOUR actions? Honestly, I would not cross a room to meet a person like you. I try to only hang out with people who don't break laws and who take responsibility for their actions instead of blaming others for the things they do.
-
I saw others replies after I sent mine. Funny since he sent this to me in another thread: Well Lucky?????
-
What it shows is you claim to be better, yet you broke the law over here. No, you claim we don't need handguns, yet you bought one (illegally) over here. You also make claims about US gun laws that have been proven false over and over. You have admitted to committing a crime about gun ownership AND you have been proven time after time to not know US gun laws yet you act like you do. You have shown time after time to have an opinion about things you don't know and have shown a discrimination against anything you don't like. Plus you have shown that you don't think your own opinions should apply to YOU. Pretty much sums up your position.

Well you handed out tools in AFW for American at one point.... Didn't know handing out tools was a "profession". Mainly because I think people take this too seriously and tend to call employers when they lose an online debate. -

Well you are not breaking even on unemployment. So you think it is just better to take unemployment than work for the same wage... Got it. You think it is better to sit on your ass than work for the same pay. Clearly, you have not run anything that had a budget. Huh, I have found all but one of my jobs while I had another job... It is not difficult. I guess you wait to get fired before you look for a job? Please provide the proof of that claim, or man up and admit you made it up. So you think it is better to do nothing than work for a living while looking to improve? Says a lot about you and reinforces my belief that you have never been a hiring manager. Of course!!!!!! But what you do while you try to do better says tons about the person. The guy that works while trying to find a job shows the ability to take charge of their life. The guy that sits around and collects unemployment says he expects to be taken care of. I prefer the guy that takes charge over the guy that expects to be taken care off.... But I have run things. Yep, you see this is where WE differ. I think the Act is bad, you only think the act is bad if ONE side does it and it is fine when someone else does it. I never mentioned Democrats doing it.... I said IT is a bad choice. The fact you brought a party into it says more about you than anyone else or the topic. And to play your game.... I guess all those Dems that live under the blanket of security the military provides should be ashamed..... Your lame attempt to make it all about party is typical and short sighted. Yes, you can't debate the topic so you go after the people.... Standard for you. No, I just think the director of undergraduate studies at Harvard University at the Department of Economics knows more than some poster on the internet. And you have been unable to prove otherwise. Yes, I find it difficult to be a party line hack without data and only playing on emotional outbursts.... I have this thing called a job.... It cuts into my posting. I have this other thing called a wife and she cuts into my posting. So, I am sorry that I spent time working to pay for your benefits and preferred spending time with my wife instead of you. You may now reply with some unsubstantiated rant and attack instead of bring data. -
Guess you never read the actual article, only others opinions of it. Or you could provide the quotes where McChrystal said anything like you claim.
-
I guess you claim that physics only apply to individuals as well huh?
-
Yet you claim that the economy changes on a dime???? Were you not also the person that claimed that only the NBER can call a recession? So, how can you blame someone for not claiming something before the NEBR AND blame them for calling something before the NEBR???? Irony score 10/10 for you, 10/10

Working those years in any job is better than actually being unemployed for that same time period. I have to think you have never been involved in hiring. If you would prefer to hire the guy that did nothing as opposed to the guy that did what he had to do to pay the bills. One shows a desire to make his life better, the other shows a desire to be taken care of and wanting to do nothing to control his own life. In other words.... One is a Republican that feels he has to contribute to his own life. The other a Dem feeling that the world owes him. (See I can play your silly little game as well) -

Got it... You can't debate the data, so you ignore it. I am quickly finding out that this is your method. Your opinion.... I guess you are better schooled in economics than the director of undergraduate studies at Harvard University at the Department of Economics???? Yep making more people rich. As opposed to your Dems wanting to make more people poor.... (See I can play your all attitude, no data game as well). -
Saying it != proving it. Bush inherited a recession from Clinton and a security threat in the form of 911. Unless you want to claim that the 911 attacks were planned in less than 9 mths? http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/2003-07-17-recession_x.htm Once again... Big on 'theory' short on data.

Your opinion about things you clearly know nothing about. And you DID admit to a straw purchase on here when you were in the US. Someone PMed me this link: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3759332;search_string=bought;#3759332 You were even challenged by Kelpdiver Here you ADMITTED to breaking a Federal Law So for all your high and mighty claims.... YOU bought a handgun in the US while you claim Americans are gun crazy..... Must be something in the water since once you were here you bought one. YOU broke Federal Law when you did it.

WOW.... Hit that nail on the head. -
Yes, I know the gun laws in the US.... Most people think it is smart to know about what you are talking about BEFORE you talk about it. Yes. You are acting like the person who has never jumped claiming to know about skydiving.
-
Yep once he passes the NICS check... Of course, you admitted to doing a Straw purchase here in the States. You are quite ill informed about US gun laws. You also seem to have quite the discrimination mentality. So what that the guy is not your age? Rights do not disappear just based on age. 1. You have no proof your claim is anything more than emotional discharge. 2. I would blame the individual.

Obama is doing more to add to the debt than anyone ever. So I disagree with your "theory".
-
For what he did and what he stood for, not for winning a popularity contest. "Reagan had one advantage in that he had a clear ideology, so his supporters would vote for him because he represented their values," "There is no similarity between what Reagan did to help the ailing economy in the early 1980s versus what Obama did between 2008 and 2010. Reagan cut taxes. Obama spent nearly a trillion dollars to kick start the economy."

Yep, they care about not running the deficit so high that it will be almost impossible to recover. You don't seem to worry about spending money we don't have or spending someone else's money. Also, it has been shown that people go back to work when they are close to losing their benefit. "Mr. MIRON: Oh no - there are analyses done by economists, going back, you know, a couple decades, in which they document that the rate of job-leaving is very, very high when people are in their last week or two of eligibility for their unemployment. For people who are eligible for 26 weeks, you see high exit rates out of unemployment in weeks 24, 25, 26. For people who are eligible 52, high exit rates then. So there's more than just anecdotes. There's certainly some systematic stuff published in journals. CONAN: So at some point people, well, if they've got the benefits available, take advantage of it. Mr. MIRON: They do, and I don't think we should refer to that as gaming the system or be casting aspersions on the people who are doing that. They're doing the intelligent thing. They're responding to incentives that are created. But it's appropriate for policymakers, for society, to say do we want to create that incentive, and to what degree do we want to create that incentive? Obviously, doing a little bit to provide the safety net is reasonable, but doing it extensively, at some point, generates a large number of people who stay unemployed for a long time, and that's not in anybody's interest. " From NPR http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=128696646 But hey, Jeffrey Miron is only the director of undergraduate studies at Harvard University at the Department of Economics.... What would he know? So given that the Republicans were concerned about how to pay for the benefits AND how some studies have shown that some people just stay on Unemployment instead of taking a job..... Yeah, they do care about people. -
"Making you afraid of it, and telling you who's to blame for it." Sounds like a lot of posts around here. But, the ACLU has not changed its position on the 2nd yet. Till they support ALL of the rights, then they will not get my support. Seems kinda silly to support an organization that does not support your views... the same reason I am not a member of the NRA.
-
I have seen you warn others for less, dude.
-
If the ACLU continues to defend the 2nd... I may join. But until they change this position.... I'll wait: http://www.aclu.org/2008/07/01/heller-decision-and-the-second-amendment
