Do you remove your slider every jump?
Sabre1Lucke replied to everymansaved's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I always remove it, but just the removable slider, not the rest. Much better view, and for the rest, I agree with the people who replied before me -
It was great to be there and to see how the record was broken by Bruno. And Bruno,... are your clothes dry yet?

Read that post again and you will know the details. Those rigs are realy good and fit very well. It's not the only brand with a close call. Remember why everybody has to move the cutter. And in the meantime almost every brand is doing that.

- Too expensive to build compared to the amount they were selling? - Evolution in canopies? Just a few ideas

I flew a Demon competition 90ft² (non x-braced) at 2.4 and it handles it great. Flies nice and still more then enough flare. I know somebody who flies a 60ft² at 3.0 but that is just for testing the lines.

I did about 10 jumps on 2 different Vengeances both 120 loaded at 1.68. Openings where very soft but very sensitive on bodyposition whitch can cause off-heading openings but if you are used to that it's not a problem. For the rest it flies great, nice dive, longer recovery then the Stiletto. But you can check this forum also because there are some review for that canopy. A friend of mine had one and did more then 1600 jumps with it and had no problem, he liked the canopy very much. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=164177;search_string=Vengeance;#164177

Jumped with 2 Sabre1's: My first canopy was a Sabre 150 (wingload 1.35) and my second was a 135 (wingload 1.48) Always had good openings, never hard and in 99% of the cases on-heading! Liked the canopy very much and my girlfriend is jumping now a 135, also no hard openings. I still think it's a good canopy

Higher wingloading = more stable in turbulance?
Sabre1Lucke replied to rhys's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
1.Higher aspect ratio wings are more efficient than those with lower aspect ratios. The Lift/Drag ratio is better. Either more lift, or less drag will improve the L/D ratio 2. The reason why airlocks have a reputation for being very stable in turbulence. Because airlocks help a canopy stay pressurized. --> Higher wingload = more pressure in the cells = more stable. Altough, that's what I think -
It's already in my calendar Where do I have to registrate?

With deep sand you are much more tempted not to fall down and do a stand up landing because you think it's more save than grass(for example) Tobi I wish you also a quick recovery. It was nice to see you again! thanks for comming to the DST. To bad you broke your ankle because your accuracy round was a nice one!!
