I'm personally not a sabre (I or II) fan, even though I went through afp on one. 7 cells can be fun. i'd suggest demoing a triathlon and a spectre before you make a decision tho. Of the canopies most WS I know jump are spectres, triathlons. sabres and pilots. Those would be your best bet. if you do a search for this topic you should find some other talk/decisions about canopies here. I've jumped quite a bit on my spectre 150 and my pilot 132 and had zero problems with either. what type is your 120? as a side note are you sure it's the canopy that is spinning and not you? Could be poor position at deployment. You are jumping a V1 and maybe at pitch you are not collapasing [all] the wings enough. I'd probably ask another WS pilot with larger WS experience watch you on deployment for some feedback. may end up saving you a few hundred $ [you can buy me beer and jumps with for, ya know, saving you the $] Where is my fizzy-lifting drink?

If you read the spin off thead, WS'n is a discipline, as is FF, CRew, skyboarding, etc. In the USPA there is no rating specific to those disciplines, just recommendations. If other countries had ratings, the people should post them in that thread. I noticed someone mentioned that SA has them, yet didn't post in that thread Funny that people can't get away from talking about 'instructiing' compared to glenn'ps real question. if you saw bird-mans new's letter, the delays were caused by a few things and also big move, yet i'm surprised that others didn't know that and post it when people were posting about their delayed BM suits. oh well. if BM or even PF ceased to exit, i'm sure the ratings would stil be 'honored' yet i could see [former] BMI's going to PFIs. I could see less [former] PFI's going to BMI's tho due to ill feelings. I'd hope that would mean that people look for training from experienced pilots with qualifications, as they have in the past. sorry, it's 'coaching' remember? A fair amount of people who coach now for $ or free, dont have any USPA teaching ratings, but I think that point has been made. Maybe right now since there is nothing limiting non-BMI/PFIs from teaching so it can be declared as a non discussion, but if it gets to a point where it is, it becomes one. Sure there are good ways of doing something or doing something better and obivously it's not limited to this topic. it's like religion or politics, everyone has their own opinion.
