"Potato, P-O-T-A-T-O-E" Can I run for office now? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything

Basically, english is the language of money. It also allows us to communicate freely with one another. If you know of any board rooms in the fortune 500 companies that hold meetings in spanish, I will take it back. You don't have to speak english in the US to be successful, but it helps. I got 3 big problems with illegals.. 1) I don't know who is in the country. 2) They don't speak english 3) They get a free ride on my dollar Here is my solution. Everyone feel free to shoot all of the holes in it you want. I can guarantee that it's a hell of a lot better than the piece o' shit bill running through congress right now. At the border, allow mexicans to come in if they can speak english. Give them a special ID card that is supposed to be "unforgeable" like they were talking about in congress a while ago. On this card is a special "social-security number" so to speak used to identify them for tax purposes. (Only US citezens may collect social security, un-employment, etc) Only families that are contributing to our country may get health care or send thier kids to our schools. These ID cards will be issued from the border. If you are already in the US, go back and cross the border right and get one. If you live in Seattle or Main, it looks like you got a long trip. While Illeagals still have basic human rights, they still don't have the rights of US citezens. They don't vote and can be paid less than minumum wage. There are still certain things that require a green card. the Agriculture business and sweat shops can still thrive. After these ID cards have been in place for a month, unleash the hounds. Any illeagals still in the country get exported. These ID cards can be given to any person crossing the border that can speak a little english and can verify they are not criminals. It's not perfect but I think it's a start. Freedom isn't free and I am tired of paying while someone else gets a free ride. I say tax them back to mexico!!!! And before anyone starts calling me a hate monger, this isn't about being predjudice. It's about paying your dues. Just one mans opinion. Like I said, shoot holes in the idea or add to it. Maybe we can send something to our goverment that might work since they can't do it them selves. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. After seeing these guys in action I can tell you that no matter what you give them they won't be able to hit a barn... And that is if they are standing in it. I looked into my chrystal ball and I also saw US troops with 5.56mm holes in them. Thier fellow soldiers and sailors on trial because the Iraqi military is so un-corruptable. Proof that once you are in, no matter how you got in, no one still has the balls to kick them out.... especially if you come with a good sob story "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. What are your scientific explanations of these two videos?

With the size of the universe as it is and for us to be the only ones in it, I couldn't think of a more colossal waste of space HOWEVER.... Ever notice how all UFO videos are shot from far off with a really jittery camera? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. I really am having a hard time getting my brain to accept this. What next? Due process? Freedom of speech? I guess those guys in Washington DC don't even have to allow women or african-americans to vote either, after all they are not a state and don't have the same constitutional rights as anyone else. I'm with Turtlespeed. I got a certain someone that would give me more pleasure than you would ever know if they were to suddenly drop dead. Only the party would last for a week, not just a day.... and the spontaneous happy dances would carry on for about a month. Does this make me a bad person? I feel your pain.... At a lot of the DZ's I have visited, unless they are having a special event, I can't find a fun jumper to do a 2 way with unless I hunt long and hard. There is always someone willing to do a coach jump though. The only thing that keeps me going most of the time is the pure adrenalin rush and the few people I have met that are in the same boat as me.... An A license and wanting to get out the door. They seem to get farther and fewer between though. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." I had to throw in my 2 cents and say Ipod. I have had other MP3 players that are a lot better, but I finally broke down and bought the 80gig Ipod for $250 just because I was sick and tired of trying to find all the cool accesories for my other MP3 players. Itunes sucks so I say by the Ipod and get a program that lets you drop and drag to your Ipod and you will be happy. Blue Skies, Jim "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Yes and no. Yes we are at war in Iraq but no, we are not at war with the Iraqi's. There are Iraqi terrorist but a lot of who we are fighting over there is being imported from other counties. Also, the rules are diffrent. With the communists they were trying to win, with the terrorists, they just want to see us loose. With communists, there were rules and no one wanted to see the world destroyed. With the terrorists, they don't care as long as they can take us out with them. Yea, yea, but I still don't think we can just walk out of there. What do we do? By the way, after spending 6 months in Baghdad I can tell you that there is no way in hell you are going to be able to turn the whole town into a green zone. It would take years of going house to house, setting up new barrackades to protect what you just claimed while trying control the movement of 11 million people. It's what Rummy has been trying to do for the last 3 years, and failing. See "Getting Iraqi's to take over their own county" "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. Bad blood between Christianity and Islam goes back a lot further than that. I could spend all day talking about the crusades and the spanish conquestadors and how they fucked up the world but that is the past and now we have to fix the future. None of the incidents I cited were conducted by Iraqi's, but the ones that we are fighting over there right now are driven by the same ideals. The shia are backed by iran and seria and the sunni's are in bed with Al Queda in Iraq. Yes, one group was there before we invaded and the other group imported itself afterwards. One thing Sadam did was create such fear that no one could organize. The only thing we really have going for our selves is that they hate each other as much as they hate us. But now that he is gone the extremists now have one more place to rally to kill americans. But we did remove him and created a shitstorm for ourselves. With globalization being what it is, and the area and forum that they now have free reign over, we can't just walk away. Especially from such a large group driven by such hate. Do I think we should have gone into Iraq? No Do I think Rummy needed to step down? Yes Do I think that we should just pull out and hope for the best? No Iraq started out as a war. We are good at war. Now we are trying to police the country and it is slowly turning into a Vietman. Terrorist's are not Vietnamese though and they know no borders. What do you do? How do kill an idea? Fun fact: A Pakistani by the name of A. Q. Khan offered to sell Sadam plans and technology for a nuclear bomb but he didn't buy it because he thought that it was part of a U.S. sting. With globalization being what it is, the world is now our cage. Give me a diffrent planet to go to and then I will now be able to "get out of the cage." It's a nice thought but we are already at war on our own shores. Or have you forgot about the previous attempts on the World Trade Center before 9/11? How quickly we forget such incedents as the marine barracks bombing in Beiruit and Bahrain, the USS Cole bombing, the attacks on our embasies. I'm not even gong to try to attempt to list all the plane hijackings and kidnapping of Americans abroad. We were targets before Iraq. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. People don't naturally hate others living 5 thousand miles away. We have been meddling in Middle East affairs for generations and that's why they hate us. Even their national boundaries were imposed on them by the west. *** Your right, people don't naturally hate others, they are taught. They are brought up believing that Alah has reserved the highest place in heaven for the guy who dies killing whom ever their Mulah's (their religious leaders) tell them to, including each other. The extremist's have ingrained this deeply into their religious beliefes. Adopting a "live and let live" policy with these people would be like letting Ted Bundy loose as long as he promised not to rape and kill any more. It's a way of life and they don't know any other way. Would you expect a tiger not to eat you as long as you stayed on your side of the cage? It's in his nature. A lot of people don't like us over there and hate to see the death toll climbing every day. But as a guy who has been over there I can say that if we don't take the fight over there they will come over here and try to turn the U.S. into a war zone. They are born a raised on hate. The lies that got us there doesn't change the fact that we would have had to go there sooner or later. So other than nuking the whole place out of existance, does anyone have any ideas on how to get out of there? Keep in mind that just pulling out would lead to them just pulling together freely and attacking the U.S. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. I just returned from Iraq and I needed to get requalified. My local dropzone had just closed and my back up dropzone was booked with tandums. I turned to dropzone.com and found the Jumping Place and boy did I luck out!!! Cathy runs the place and boy does she love skydiving! From running the place to flying the plane, to jumping and packing, she does it all. Her number one goal is to make sure that everyone is in the air and having a good time. The AFF instructor who got me going, was very intrested in my safety. He made sure I was completely familiar with the dropzone and the surrounding areas before I went up. After my ground training I was grilled like it was the Spanish Inquisition to make sure I was going to be safe in the air. The view of the area is great. They are right next to the atlantic ocean. The landing area is big and open. You would actually have to try to miss it. After I was re-certified, I had no problems finding someone to jump with. The fun jumpers were looking for new people and always up for something. The only fault with the dropzone (other than I have to drive 3 1/2 hours to get to it) is the aircraft. Right now they only have a C-182. They want to get a turbine aircraft, but they need to get more jumpers to support a larger plain. Once the word gets out on what a great place this is, I'm sure it will happen. They are all about taking care of the people who come there to jump. Blue Skys, Jim

If your girl fools around with another girl, is it cheating?
jgoose71 replied to jgoose71's topic in The Bonfire
What does that say abot polygamists? THat' is THEIR religious belief. So if you have 2 wives and they fool around with each other, are they cheating on you? This could get really confusing..... If I actually suggested such a thing I would probably get slapped, but it did seem to be a very intellectual and philosophical topic that needed to be asked amongst the enlightened -
Encourage friends to jump..?

unfortunatly, 95% of the people that ask me about it never do anything else. I guess they just have a short attention spa..... Is that a butterfly?
