    My understanding is that this has been decided and is official as of now; however, there are several members of the board who are strongly opposed and who believe that this decision was pushed through and there seems to have been some misunderstanding when it was pushed through. Some board members believe that the original intent was to prevent pre-filled photocopied ballots from being legal (which everyone seemed to agree was a good thing). However, the actual motion seems to say that ALL photocopied ballots are no longer legal, and the ONLY ballots that will be legal are the actual ballots that come out of Parachutist.     Come hang out in the lobby of the meeting hotel. There's plenty of skydivers there right now not being allowed to sit in on the board of directors meetings.     Yep, after leaving for lunch and coming back to the doors still closed, we just got bored enough to come check into our hotel. I figured I'd rather take a nap than wait around for nothing to happen that I'm allowed in on. But hopefully someone will call me when the doors to the secret chamber are opened again to the minions. I'm on some meds right now that make drinking a Bad Idea, so if you're not too terribly far, I can be your designated driver (remember, of course, that I'll be on pure adrenaline and caffeine after a redeye, though, so I can't promise that fatigue won't make me almost as unsafe as a drunk driver!)     I'm planning to attend meetings all day Friday (to see the full board drama) and attend a few committee meetings and the "lack of quorum" General Membership meeting, and again on Sunday (to see what the committees bring back to the board). Yes, I should be a good member and go to Saturday's meetings too, but fuck, I'm going to be selfish and go out to ZHills because I live in the rainy northwest and haven't jumped since November. Hoping that two days will give me enough of a taste of how it all works to know what my grass roots efforts (and they will be considerable) need to focus on for the rest of the year.     Not a TI, but I have made my own homemade energy drink. If you substitute Morton Lite Salt for regular salt, you get half potassium chloride and half sodium chloride, so you replace both salt and potassium. Bonus electrolytes.

    Check the thread in Events & Places. A few of us will be there (though depending on when this discussion takes place I may miss the drama ... and it may be in a closed session anyway). But I made my reservations long before this; the whole point of this trip for me is to put myself in touch with what's going on with the governing body of USPA...     Gym Sunday, Tuesday, and this morning, will go again tomorrow, and then will try to squeeze in something this weekend during my 3-day Orlando trip other than USPA board meetings and a day at Z-Hills. The hotel allegedly has a fitness room so hopefully it's something more than a rusty old treadmill and a couple of dumbbells.
