This is what I mean when I say your words are making you look foolish. You can not justify those words. They are merely a reflection of the hatred you carry. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

You may be set back. BHO is been the most moral and scandal free President in decades. An upstanding family man and Christian. The only other President that comes close is Mr. Carter. Your hatred of your President is not just uncalled for and your beliefs about him unfounded, but they make you look like a very unreasonable man. And probably a fool in who you do follow. Another "green" energy company bites the dust

As something of a "greenie" myself. ( I think everyone is at least a little green, even you.) I'm curious why you linked to the article. Are you gloating that some renewable energy will have a harder time getting to market? Or are you just super happy about the landscape of the parks being saved? What's your point? There is no use carrying a firearm around if you can't use it when you are angry or frightened. I was listening on the radio to a man who teaches a course to qualify CC permit holders. What he teaches them is that they should never take out their weapon unless they plan to fire it. And that if they ever do so, it will immediately change their life. Be proud of your freedoms America. The price you pay in a little carnage on the street and in your life is well worth it. You are partly correct. Solar is fusion power. If you mean controlled fusion here on Earth, I've seen nothing yet to make me believe it's achievable. Maybe someday. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free. -
It's kinda fun watching you twist. Carry on. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Another "green" energy company bites the dust
gowlerk replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
The internal combustion engine did not get 1.5 billion taxpayer dollars and fail. Also, it might be worth noting that BOTH solar cells and the internal combustion engine were invented in the 1800s. The one that works is powering the world the one that doesn't, is a government subsidized fantasy. It looks like the company failed because solar cells are now so successful that their price has dropped too much to support their business model. I don't see any reference to the 1.5 billion you speak of, but even if it's true it was money well spent. This is just another sign of the energy revolution and the winding down of older dirtier technologies. Deadenders will delight as are fooled into thinking they are right. Meantime the world marches by, leaving them so far behind they get confused. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free. -

Uhhh...Simple. The Mars trip was teleportation, a technology being kept secret. While the Apollo missions were faked rocket shots. Keep up will ya? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free. -
I have some personal experience with Jim. I am not going to reply further to him. I would encourage you to do the same. I'm sorry I already made the mistake of replying to him once. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

I think you may be missing the point here. It wasn't a precise referenced history, it was merely an illustration. Think of it as a sketch, not an oil painting. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

How DO you land a tandem canopy each and every time? Good question. I've slid in lots of tandems. I've never tried to run one out though...... Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

But their children won't follow them into the mines. And they won't die slowly and horribly from miner's lung. It's a good living, but there is a reason the pay is high. It costs you your health. But all that is beside the point. The demand for coal never existed to provide jobs, it existed to provide energy. We are getting our energy elsewhere. A different set of people will be employed in those industries. A nice side benefit is those workers will live longer. And the deadenders will be defeated. As they always are. None the less, they are protected utility monopolies and will never be allowed to fail. You work in a stable environment and your job is secure, just like Kallend. If you want to go into a more dynamic industry you are free to do so. But you would then face the insecurity inherent in the possibility of failure. In other words, your health care is now secure, unlike many millions of Americans. All of this is not totally true either. And I can get let go much easier than kallend ever could be. That I know is true So then, both of you can be dismissed for cause, or be layed off due to economic circumstances. But both of you are in similar positions in that your institutions are regarded as needed by society for the foreseeable future. Not like coal miners. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Hmmm. Thanks for teaching me how to think. Next time you link to a real science article I will just read the headline and toss the rest in the garbage like you do. Now that I understand the proper brenthutch way of viewing the world. In the meantime I'm going to enjoy the longer summers and milder winters here. With the shorter hockey season I think Canada may be done with that soon. Look out for our new soccer prowess coming soon. Is Boris Johnson your version of Canada's Rob Ford? I'm just curious: http://www.politico.com/story/2016/04/boris-johnson-obama-kenyan-222303 Jerry Baumchen He seems to be a lying ass. But when I read the story I had to agree with this part of what he said. "The US guards its democracy with more hysterical jealousy than any other country on earth," he wrote, noting that the U.S. is the only nation to have not signed onto two separate United Nations conventions, on children's rights and women's emancipation. "For the United States to tell us in the UK that we must surrender control of so much of our democracy — it is a breathtaking example of the principle of do-as-I-say-but-not-as-I-do," Johnson wrote. "It is incoherent. It is inconsistent, and yes it is downright hypocritical. The Americans would never contemplate anything like the EU, for themselves or for their neighbours in their own hemisphere. Why should they think it right for us?" Of course he misses the point that the US does not care what is right for the UK, it cares what is right for the US. As it should. Hey, you are the one who posted the link to the article, not me. Now you are telling me the article is only speculative. Nice to see you link to a real science article. But if you read it carefully it does not support your position. The sub headline is: Scientists have identified key factors that enable corals to recover from bleaching events brought on by global warming It goes on to explain the mechanism of recovery then finishes by saying If coral reefs are to thrive in the Anthropocene—the current epoch in which human activity has become a driving force on the planet—CO2 levels in the atmosphere will have to drop.
