  1. Yes of course. A law to be called "The Conservative Snowflake Protection Act". Because mean old liberals won't just quietly stand aside while the bullshit rains down from above. Give me a break. Are climate change deniers really that fragile? They need to compete in the marketplace of ideas, but they can't because their ideas are based on lies. 2. Almost like you went down to the crossroads and sold your soul...... Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  3. I did not realize there was such hatred for fellow skydivers. The phrase"fuck Dubai" does not even mention fellow skydivers. Not even the ones who sell their souls to work and play in the evil empire. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  4. That combination works. I've packed a few PD176 reserves into w13 and w14s. (same reserve tray) A 170 main will fit a w13, but you will be a happier packer if you get a w14. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  5. Adventure starts now. Car is packed with gear. Two day drive to Atlanta alone. Meet the wife on Wednesday noon when she flies in. Pick up a rental RV nearby, drive it to Fitz. A lot of work for a 4 day boogie! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  6. Behind the the small wheel there is a washer with 3 ears. It can be installed wrong way around, but usually the hand wheel will just freewheel if that is the case. Try rotating it half a turn then put the screw back in. The screw only allows you to turn the knob a half turn. The threads may not be engaging tightly enough with the washer in that position. Just experiment, there are only two possible positions. (well four if you include washer backwards, but you'll know immediately that it's wrong) If you completely remove and leave out the screw you can tighten the whole thing as much as you want. But that leaves open the possibility of the assembly losing parts. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  7. As far as I know all Christians believe in ghosts. So that's a lot of people. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  8. The only "deafening roar" is the sound of the twittering NIMBY birds whining and crying over life going on around them while they hide away in their cages. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  9. All of what you have posted are true. Health care is an enormously complex set of issues. Providing less stressful health insurance to all would be huge step in addressing those social/economic factors. Not to mention the tyranny of fearing losing your health insurance simply because you are unfortunate enough to be laid off from your job. I don't understand how Americans even deal with that stress. And that doesn't even begin to talk about the stress small employers trying to find insurance for their employees must have. Come to think of it, stress may be the reason for the lower life expectancy all by itself! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

  11. It would be far better than the PD170. But possibly still a little sporty for you. PD 170 is an older design made from a fabric that can easily wear out. Even when it was new it would have been too small for you. No wonder you have problems. Get rid of it as soon as you can. 12. Well....It's Sunday AM, and maybe you have a hangover. That may explain how you can believe you've "won". Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  13. I'm okay with letting you believe that. Cool. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  14. Well, you could be right. I am a warmist. Not surprising because not once in my life have I even been cool. Not even for 5 minutes. https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/warmist And I suppose that makes you a coolist. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  15. What part of "the net increase in fossil fuel consumption was 2.6 times the overall increase in the consumption of renewables." do you not understand? What part of rate of growth do you have trouble with? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-04-06/wind-and-solar-are-crushing-fossil-fuels The trend is clear. Despite the absolute numbers which do not indicate trends. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  16. Really? "Climate change threatens America’s economy, national security, and public health and safety" So, those things are in danger of being affected. That is not an "end of the world" viewpoint. You are the one guilty of hyperbole here. The statement in not that it threatens the end of anything. Get your shit together man. It's going to be okay. You'll adapt in time. Or at least your children will. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  17. People here might take some time to consider this: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/editorials/globe-editorial-killing-obamacare-will-make-canadians-feel-smug-again/article34269124/?click=sf_globefb I know these facts matter very little. America is in the thrall of big medicine and especially big insurance. The politicians are bought and paid for. Cash. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  18. There may be something in this. It's unlikely you will succeed in film making if you do not have a passion for it. And if you had a passion for it you would not be here asking this question..... Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  19. I'm doing my part. Driving, flying, trucking, skydiving, and the gas furnace is on as well because we've suddenly got a freakishly cold March going on here. Nonetheless, the trend is still shows the rate of increase in renewables to be far greater than the rate of increase for fossil sources. The fact that we can only do so much practically does not mean that we should do nothing. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  20. Yes it will. We'll have more renewables. Less dependence on fossil fuel, less pollution of many sorts, less body and landscape destroying mining, and less danger of runaway heating. Yes, the current trends are somewhat encouraging. I'm glad you're beginning to embrace the changes in our energy economy! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  21. Who said the world is coming to an end? The world will be fine. Our place in it just won't be as good. Why do you have so much fear of the changes coming in our technology? The world is changing before your eyes and you quake and whine like a baby resisting it. Pitiful. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  22. I think it's quite clever. Except for the misspelling of Dr. Will Happer's name as Harpper that is. Usually your attention to detail is better than that. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  23. Yes. The lead time required to turn the ship around is measured in decades. It's a very large ship. Do you understand now? Lead time for what? What are we turning around? What would become inevitable if people like you have their way. Don't play the duck. I'm not starting at the beginning to play your game. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
