  1. Well, considering how much he has done the same, I guess that's alright. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  2. Not only have you mis-quoted America's greatest songwriter, but you also clearly can't tell the wind direction. Obviously YOU need a weatherman. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  3. But it's wrong far less often than American right wing politicians. The American right has being wrong and convincing themselves that they are correct down to a science. Maybe they really are scientists! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

This is the first volley in the epic Trump vs Ryan battle I've been waiting for. My guess is that in the end Ryan will resign. Not over anything like this, but in 2 1/2 years or so when he steps down to begin challenging Trump for the 2020 nomination. 5. Yes, a little like Coreece. But a Coreece who is trying to hold back a little. You know, dance up to the line but not quite cross over it. I kind of miss Coreece a little. Maybe Sonnyblu can fill that gap for me! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  6. Bullshit. Did you ever hear anyone complain about a shortage of chiropractors? Maybe witch doctor is a little strong, but not much. Worse yet, many of them are anti-vaccine and "homeopaths". They are a mixed lot, but there are plenty of charlatans among them. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  7. I'm not sure if you know this or not Brent, but 45 plus 65 equals 110. That's a large percentage. Those questions use a sliding scale of "very important, somewhat important, somewhat unimportant, very unimportant, or no opinion. Anytime you get a result with 45% at the extreme it's a strong indication that the sample finds a lot of agreement. Face it. You are a dinosaur on this subject. Well outside of the mainstream. But more importantly, well outside of the facts. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  8. The irony meter is pegged. What you call irony, I call salvation. I assume that is what your were referring to. Or, from Firesign Theatre: "I used to be all messed up on dope. Now I'm all fucked up on The Lord!" Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Mr. Trump is clearly way over his head in a game he is in no way qualified to play. The elites were right all along. If he lasts that long he will be a very old man by 2020. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

America seems confused. Healthcare providers serve people. Insurance companies serve themselves. It is necessary to have insurance providers because they provide some accountability and control on costs. But every dollar spent on them is a dollar not being used for healthcare. They need to as small and efficient as possible if you want a cost effective system. That is the strength of single payer. America will never get to that. So it needs to find some other way of reigning in the insurance industry. The ACA does that somewhat, but needs to do more. In the end you will have a modified two or three tier system combining Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. The private providers will need to lower their costs to compete with the public sector providers. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  11. So...do you not understand why they spent so little time? Maybe it's because there is nothing left to talk about. The matter is settled and the decisions have been made. What they do talk about often is not climate change, but the ridiculous positions of politicians on it. It's now become a sort of litmus test on whether to take someone seriously or not. Like ridiculing the Trump position (now abandoned) that it's a Chinese conspiracy. The world is passing you by, and you quote stories about how many stories as you grasp at straws? The effort was doomed from the start. Just look at all the time and work it took to pass the ACA. The Rs had to make some kind of attempt at repeal because of all the rage they have expended at Obamacare. But none of them were willing to to the work or pay the price that real reform would take. What will happen now is an expansion of Medicare into the red states that resisted it. They will no longer be able to leave the federal dollars on the table. The present plan is not not really sustainable, so it will be patched up and continue to limp along and evolve. The US political scene now has a new third rail to replace Social Security. 13. Nope. But your attitude toward facts is. And your arguments are getting just plain silly. But I suppose that's because you've been getting them from silly people. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  14. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra-high-molecular-weight_polyethylene Both Dyneema and Spectra are of this type of molecule. I have no idea why someone would do this. But I would ground them subject to replacing the loop and inspecting the systems. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  15. I'm addicted to breathing. Just can't stop it for the life of me. I understand all the criminals are as well. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  16. Yes, it's hard to live up to the high standards set by the Pythons. I have a weakness for fat. And although I used to read many books the new age of on screen reading has left me without the needed attention span to do it anymore. But Rapture can always be had here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHCdS7O248g Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  17. It looks like the orange one has something new in common with Hilary. Can't get healthcare reform passed. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  18. Everyone need goals. Having a goal of being raptured is an easy way to go through life. It gives one hope and something to look forward to. It allows one to feel better than all the rabble around them. And it requires almost nothing to earn it. An extremely cowardly and worthless way to live a life. But in the end we all have to get by somehow. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

  21. That article claims there is no definite proof that the large increase in CO2 levels is responsible for the increase in temperature seen in the past 300 years. 300 years is a very short time in geological terms. I believe there is ample evidence. The glaciers are melting, the temps are rising, and so is the sea level. At a rate that we can find no precedent for, and consistant with the models. Your position is a political one. Not a scientific one. Science is not liberal or conservative. But in most of the world, only American conservatives dispute the facts that are as plain as day. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
  22. I know Canada is thought of as much smaller than the US, but do you really think "60 scientists" is a meaningful number? How many scientists do you think we have here? I'll bet there are at least 600 geologists working for oil companies alone. You have provided a quote you got from somewhere about 60 signatures on an open letter to the PM. No link to any info I can evaluate. So to answer your question, it does not factor into helping me make up my mind. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. 23. You should read what I wrote more carefully. I did not call you a denier. I actually did not take the time to even consider the nuances of your beliefs. My comment is about the outrageous attempt to protect deniers from criticism. Again, let their ideas stand in the marketplace. 25. Almost like you went down to the crossroads and sold your soul...... Been watching Supernatural, haven't you? One of my favorites. Actually LilZilla's profile lists his name as Robert Johnson. That's where I got the crossroads idea from. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
