It looks like Santa is bringing me a buying opportunity for Xmas. Pretty rare at this time of year. Thanks Donald. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Sean McGowan somehow manages to make the word "Christmas" sound like a vulgarity in that song. Brilliant.

Don't worry. John Bolton and Steven Miller are still looking over things. America is in good hands. Sleep well everyone. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Remember people, this is how it starts when Marc posts. Begins with some easily recognized lies that you respond to. Then the downward spiral into vitriol. Yall know what to do. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

It does seem likely this will help bring the battle for expanded healthcare rights in America to an important turning point. Not very many politicians are going to want to run with a position that does not support coverage for existing conditions now. The R party is going to either take a huge turn left (on this one issue) or they are going to lose very badly. My guess is that they are not willing to lose. So they will make some kind of unfunded (because taxes are evil) compromise. And once more the deficit will balloon. The judge in Texas is probably correct. Under the current circumstances, without the tax penalty it is no longer a taxation matter. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

That seems to be what the "Trump Nation" is being told to believe. And so, of course they are. One born every minute, as you know. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Yes, my feeling is that the pricing difference this brand vs the major, more expensive brands comes from a combination of factors. Less R&D and somewhat less expensive construction details are a small part of it. All makers have copied from one another, but being later in the game PS skipped some of the learning steps. Less desired brands have to do something to make themselves attractive and pricing is probably the single most effective thing they can do. Just looking around at who has money, who spends on advertising and sponsorships, who runs their operation 4 days a week with long holiday shutdowns will tell you that some of these brands are very profitable. There is nothing wrong with this, but it clearly shows there is a fair amount of room for lower user prices. And of course, some or perhaps most of the PS production is done outside the US. The USD price is a huge factor in the ability of SA based companies to operate profitably at a lower price than US companies. Their products are high quality and represent better value to the end user. But their position in the hierarchy of demand means that if and when you want to sell them you will face a very low demand and price situation. Few people are shopping for a used Vortex or Volt. They want a Javelin or a Vector or a Curv, or a Mirage, or a couple of the other more regional but still established brands. (I'm sorry if I left your brand out) And nothing holds its value like a PD Sabre 2. Its just plain ridiculous how much these are valued at used. To me this means that if you want brand new gear and you believe that you will be keeping it for several years PS gear can be an excellent choice. It also means that if you are on a low budget and you find used PS gear you can get a smoking good deal. But beware of paying too much. Parachute gear from SA has been available at a discounted price since at least the early 90s in different brands. It has always been better priced copies of American brands. The quality has always been at least acceptable and often equal. And they have always been a little behind the curve on the latest technology. That's because they aren't big enough or profitable enough to be the innovators. They are always the followers. But the pace of change in these products is not that high, so many people don't really care. Edit to add....After re-reading your post and looking at current package prices I have to note that the price difference is not "a few thousand dollars". When you add in the AAD and a Skyhook the difference between this package and say a Vector with PD canopies is more like $1500 or so. Still significant, but maybe not as much as you were thinking.

Another really good example of the truth of your belief in emotion as the ruling force in your life. Its a pity that the predominate emotion is hate though. But I understand that your hate is rooted in your fear. And I'm somewhat impressed that you show some awareness that your feelings are illogical. Well, as long as we are going with cartoon caricatures, what does Trump remind you of? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Then perhaps you can point me to a video or some other reference to where she "(Stomps feet and holds breath)"? Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

I'd say your biases are showing again. She is not an infant and she is not a hipster. She is a relatively young woman from a lower middle class background with a left leaning outlook. She is very likely smarter than either of us, and is in all probability going to accomplish more than you. She has already beat me on that count. There is plenty for you to attack in her political views. She is going to fight to move the D party toward something that looks a lot like socialism. Even I find some of her policy positions to be unsustainable. You only belittle yourself when you resort to what looks very much like misogyny. Meh....The tenderloin muscle is over rated. It's tender, but has little flavour or character. That's why it needs the puff pastry and liver pate of a beef Wellington. Or to be bacon wrapped as steak. Or in a flavourful sauce as in beef Bourguignon. Let then try to engineer a nice ribeye! Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Those are just all psychological triggers for your mind. That bring back positive memories of great steaks, chicken wings, etc. If a person had a five star meal cooked by a "Iron Chef" in a restaurant of fantastic ambiance. Then was served a quality, tasty, "farm grown" bio-lobster, bio-steak, bio-shrimp meal. Your brain would start to make the same associations with the bio-products. You obviously have never carefully browned a piece of beef chuck and then slowly braised it until the the connective tissue melted into a glorious sauce. Or smoked a brisket, or pork side ribs, or eaten chicken wings. None of these experiences will ever be duplicated in a laboratory produced product. There is far more than just flavour going on there. I agree that this is where the future is, and that we will be better off. But something will be lost and at my age I will never form the mental associations you speak of. Does that mean I will not be reunited with my beloved childhood dog in Heaven? Screw it then, I'll meet up with all my friends in Hell. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Nutritionally and ecologically a good idea. But cultured "meat" products will never have the real flavour and texture of flesh and blood with bones and connective tissue and all the great things that make animals so tasty. They are the way of the future, but I'm glad that I'm old enough that I will never have to face the end of carnivorism. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. I'm guessing most of them will celebrate it. And then use it as an argument to outlaw animal based foods. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

Yes, they are much more common on tandems. And almost always the result of deploying with the middle ring flipped through the large ring.

Edited, thanks. And now I'm sorry I even asked this question. The issue has been well covered already. Carry on.

To begin with she is a he, and this is the quote you have taken out of context: The context being that maybe it would be a good idea to stop false news, but that it would a bad idea for the government to try to do so. Light weight? She's 29. She is not a light weight at all. She is an accomplished woman on an upward trajectory. And she holds a safe seat in a Democratic district. She will be a Congresswoman for as long as she wants to be. But I'd be surprised if her sights are not set higher. No wonder the GOP is targeting her for a smear campaign. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

That's an interesting comment. But with no context or content. You would seem to be implying that she lacks basic knowledge of civics. But you provide no justification for your accusation. Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

The subject of how far along the bridle MARDs are installed just came up in another thread. Which leads me to wonder, since wingsuit bridles for mains are usually at least 8 ft long in order to be sure the p/c clears the burble, and MARDS are generally a little less than 6 ft from the p/c, are there any known examples of hesitations on total mals with larger suits and MARDs?
