That's easy. Vlad.

I would need to see your Sabre 2 and it's line trim to give you an opinion. Sabre 2s are not generally known to have a high number of off heading or hard openings. However, many of them have Spectra (micro-line) and these can go out of trim and cause problems. I don't know you well enough to recommend a downsize, but a Sabre 2 170 with that kind of wing loading would seem to be appropriate for someone with 400 jumps. Safire 3s and Sabre 2s are both good canopies and I can offer no opinion between them except to say that there is no canopy like a Sabre 2 for holding resale value. Nothing compares.

Are you daft? I answered your question. The same amount as everywhere else in the world. It's the freaking sea, it's all at sea level. Find someone else to spoon feed you. Try Wattsup.com, they are just your speed.

The sea has risen more or less evenly around the world. In all areas. From Wikipedia: Since at least the start of the 20th century, the average global sea level has been rising. Between 1900 and 2016, the sea level rose by 16–21 cm. More precise data gathered from satellite radar measurements reveal an accelerating rise of 7.5 cm from 1993 to 2017, which is a trend of roughly 30 cm per century. Perhaps this from NOAA will help you to understand what you have been missing. https://www.climate.gov/news-features/understanding-climate/climate-change-global-sea-level

So, you will just ignore the fact that the articles clearly say that flooding is now occurring at time that it did not before? And the basic point that any further increase in sea level will make it even more common? Yes Florida has had to deal with floods before. And they will again. But this time they will need to deal with it by retreating to higher ground.

Bad software has certainly done worse.

He would probably appreciate it if you called him Scott Peters then. Since that is his name. https://scottpeters.house.gov/

I'm pretty sure it's not the one on CA death row!

The water in the streets perhaps? https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/miami-is-the-most-vulnerable-coastal-city-worldwide/

I think you are not looking at the whole story and hate Hillary so much that you do not want to believe she could have won without cheating.

I don't understand why people think that the Ds can do well in the Senate and House at the same time as Trump wins. Winning presidents always have coattails. That's just how it works. They did well in the House in the mid-terms, but that is a different thing. They did poorly in the Senate and the only way they will do well in the one third of seats up there in 2020 is if they have a winning candidate at the top who gets a great turnout and beats Trump. The only way Trump loses is if the same suburban women who turned against the Rs in the mid-terms keep voting against him plus the D candidate has enough to offer to get some excitement going. Both these things are possible, but not certain.
-
Now I'm starting to wonder if maybe, just maybe someone screwed up the results long enough for them to be coming out during Trump's speech tonight?

Using the occasion to present Rush Limbaugh with the Medal of Freedom is pretty darn close to flinging turds!

I'm sure Woody Guthrie would be glad that you understand that. The Boss would approve as well.

The government subsidizes the aviation industry. You are part of it. As if you did not know. How long would your business last if you had to go out and buy a private airstrip and land for a DZ?
-
Subsidy, Google it.

“Count the cells, and then stuff them between your legs”
gowlerk replied to sheeks's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
It's not because they can go missing! Well it sort of is, one or more cell openings of the nose could get left inside the pack. You count them out simply as a first step to organizing the canopy. You want to have all the cell openings exposed to the airflow at once when it comes out of the bag to help it open evenly. You put them between your legs and clamp them to hold them there while you start flaking. This is something you will need to learn in person. Me typing all this out is not going to help you much. -
Wiggle as much as you like. I just Googled your DZ and that is a beautiful valley that County airport is in. I'll bet Elon Musk would be very happy if he could have the kind of subsidized infrastructure needed to operate his business from like you do.
-
So, how much rent to you pay for all that concrete? You know, the taxiways and runways? How much rent do you pay for that big grass landing area? If you are like most DZs, the answer is zero. The government supplies it to you for free.

Hillary won where it mattered. The super Tuesday states, California, and I think NY. She got more votes and by a large margin. Not overwhelming, but significant enough that it was clear to all except those who like conspiracy theories.
-
You did not read, or failed to grasp what I said. I'm not surprised because you failed to understand the point of the article as well.
-
It's a little bit like the way the US government subsidizes skydiving. You don't pay for all the infrastructure needed for aviation to thrive. Does that make you a freeloader? What airport do you run out of? Do you pay landing fees?
-
The only mention of money or funding in that story is about cities and states in red areas of the US that have had disatsters that may be climate change related and are searching for ways of not saying the forbidden words "climate change". Your topic name is extremely misleading. There are no cities lining up and there is no "climate change money". When disasters and emergencies strike local and state governments will ask for assistance to deal with the immediate problem. If you decide to call it "climate change money" that will be on you.

Well....there is no real need for a skydiving HoF. Skydivers are not famous outside of skydiving. It is a vanity project and is completely unneeded and unjustified. Successful HoFs are revenue generators because the public has large enough numbers of people who are interested. No one gives a shit about skydivers, but some of us like to think what we do is special. These people need to get over themselves.

Weak sauce turtle. You can do better than that.
