That is not the experience in the rest of the world. Criminals who want weapons have to get them from somewhere. Only in some third world countries and in America is it common for criminals to be armed. Which is the reason you have such trigger happy police.

North Dakota now has enough vaccine available that they will make it available to Canadian essential workers (mostly truckers) who cross from Manitoba. I'm getting my first shot of Pfizer on Friday in Winnipeg, but likely my second will come from this program. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/manitoba-north-dakota-vaccine-essential-workers-1.5994519

Likely you will find some on the cruise. But at least they will be well heeled stupid people. Organized by National Geographic a division of Disney Co. , or The National Geographic Society? Nat Geo ain't what it used to be. Not that much cachet anymore.

There is no skydiving allowed here. Relax and let it all hang out. You are fitting in perfectly with your complaining. Nice to see you getting off to a good start.,
-
More like trash pandas in this case.
-
Not hardly. I don't think virtual on line cruising is going to take over. The cruise industry will come back very strongly. Their order books are already filling up. Cruising has always been stupid, and there is no shortage of stupid people with money to spend.
-
Thanks. That would be a very heavy burden. Do you have broad shoulders?

The last moron like that we had here is sitting in a federal lockup in MD I believe.

April 1st was almost three weeks ago.

The thing about the death penalty is that there are people who deserve it. But it is too much power to give to the government. For more than one reason.

As I read the reporting it was an off the cuff remark to a reporter's question. Now it is all over the national news. She probably should have been more careful in her words. But "scumbag politician?" We all should sometimes speak more carefully. Like Joe said above me it is very hard to see how a jury could fail to convict in this case, unless it is hung.
-
Funny thing about that verdict. No matter what it is it will change nothing. It is really nothing more than what a jury decides based on the evidence of a single case. The problem being struggled with is systemic. Being more "active" is still probably needed. I do not see anything in the quote you made that calls for violence. Why are you calling her out for promoting violence? She is an 82 year old black woman who has watched the shit go down all of her life. Think of it like Dee Snyder saying "we ain't gonna take it anymore" and maybe it will make more sense.

Sure, that's how cats are herded up all the time.

Ya sure. Maybe they can join a union or something. Or get together with all the clever DZOs who just say no to Groupon.

US vaccination of at least one shot is now nearly 40% of the population. And now the uptake is slowing down and more and more work will need to be done to reach the procrastinators and convince the doubters. https://us.cnn.com/2021/04/18/us/covid-vaccine-slowing-us-demand/index.html The Canadian rate stands at about 22% but with far fewer 2nd shots administered. I was predicting we would be about 30 days behind, but now I'm thinking it may be a little less.

The "Trump America First" party will have a new slogan. "A gun in every pot".
-
Why wait for a vote in the State House? Just send a test case up to the new and improved SCOTUS.
-
Why wouldn't it be okay? Don't all y'all have "rights"?
-
Sure, that's good. But he is not a politician, he is an ex-politician. And that means he does not have to get through a GOP primary ever again.

Like Phil says, there is no problem with pay for nurses in Canada. But there is a problem with them being over worked and stressed out because as the single largest expense in the system cutbacks fall the hardest on them. Canadian trained nurses are in high demand all over the world and many travel for a few years as a way to see the world. When they come home, as most do, they often have regrets because they lack seniority for holiday choices and job placements in an extremely rigid unionized workplace.

We will take our 10%, no problem. Take the rag away from your eyes, now ain’t the time for your tears.

Why was the last thread locked?

The last time he started a trolling thread on this very subject it was locked down. Now he has waited a few weeks and started up a fresh one to get around the lock. How is this allowed?
