Here is an example of the kind of carrot and stick approach that will get a good number of hesitant people over their stubbornness. https://us.cnn.com/2021/04/25/us/europe-vaccinated-americans-summer-eu-vacation/index.html

That is basically what will happen in the end. But the end game is not yet near. And as others have pointed out all the vaccines are only approved as emergency drugs. Mandating vaccination will have to await full approval. But other forms of social pressure coupled with the fact that everyone who does not get vaccinated is going to get covid in one degree or another sooner or later, will cause the rate to rise to somewhere between 70 and 80%.

Almost all states are at the very least close to matching supply and demand. I am not hearing of any asking for more right now.

I’m pretty sure I remember Ron saying that he wanted to. Tomorrow is Sunday and he usually has the time and opportunity to post here on Sunday mornings.
-
Their sons should be getting it too BTW. But nice one there on your part.

I keep glancing at the thread title and seeing "Butt paddling". Am I the only one here that sick?
-
Didn't they try something like that with a Mars lander that crashed and burned in?
-
I just tell them they put "magic" in it. Who's afraid of magic? It's everywhere.

It certainly looked like she was about to stab and possibly kill the other woman in mere seconds.

May as well bring back the death penalty for bad children. The American Taliban can celebrate another small victory in their war on decency.

Then it is all in the hands of God.

Can you say Kaepernick?

Are you aware that Matt Gaetz acting as a lawyer was successful in appealing a decision that could have closed a Florida DZ? https://floridapolitics.com/archives/230422-matt-gaetz-skydiving-case/

Just like most Americans Scalia wants to have it both ways. Sure, the right is not unlimited. But in anyway that matters enough to make a difference, it is.

I would drink a beer with you anytime if I could. But I don't see how the 2nd can be "better regulated" when the whole point of it is that regulations are not permitted. You want clearly gun regulation. You clearly want to keep the 2nd intact. Those positions are not compatible.
-
We have all that and more in Canada. The emotion around the 2nd makes it seem like it is an all or nothing thing. Either you have the 2nd or the g-men swoop in and take away all the guns. Bollocks I say!
-
Oh oh, I'm so sorry you are "butt hurt"! Realistically many or even most jumpsuits have Cordura reinforced buts to protect the jumpsuit from damage. If you want body protection from poor landings you need to do what people in sports where falls are common do. Armour. Look at skateboarding equipment. What skydivers do instead is learn to stand up landings. As a rule we do not have areas we "know are likely to make hard contact".

We would seem to both be pretty obstinate. My reason is my belief that the 2nd amendment is lunacy. Your reason is your belief that it is something that America needs.
-
That would seem to be a direct result of the 2nd. Make up your mind, which do you want more, the 2nd or safety for your daughter?
-
But none of your plans are compatible with the 2nd Amendment that you refuse to contemplate changing. You want it both ways.
-
You have a bunch of theories. But no willingness to confront that basic problem that in a nation full of more weapons than people some of those people will use the weapons to do exactly what they are built to do. Kill other people.
-
Are you kidding? America exports weapons and all the problems they cause to both Mexico and Canada. Mostly illegally.
-
I may say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.

I'm going with the fact that police shooting suspects is pretty rare in other countries compared to the US. My belief is that US police must always assume the member of the public they are dealing with is armed. That makes them nervous and leads to errors.
