    It would not appear to be an issue in case against Pooley. And Dause is not charged with anything. My guess is that several DZOs are praying that it stays as a non issue. Independent contactor relationships are widespread in in industry.

    David, maybe you should step back a bit and reassess your goals. Are they skydiving goals or tunnel goals? The tunnel is a great tool for skill building, but many thousands of people have learned to skydive without it. IDK and I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other on IFLY rules for this. But as I recall, your injuries were quite extensive and started with a shoulder separation. Tunnel flight is VERY taxing on that part of the body. I'm pretty sure they have a good reason to turn away people with that kind of history. After all, they are in business to serve the market and make money.

    Talk about awkward. I just heard a D congress critter from NY interviewed on NPR about how it is so unfair that the Canadian border is not open for vaccinated Americans to visit their families and properties up north. And I can sort of agree with him that we should welcome those of our neighbours who have done the right thing. But how are we supposed to know who is vaccinated and who is just plain lying?

    The Governor of Utah thinks he knows the answer. I just heard reporting on a PSA running in the state. He is calling on all citizens to get down on their knees and pray to his God. I am not making this up.

    We did the same thing here. Now at 70% with at least one shot and now booking appointments for the second. We are in another race with the new variant. It is just starting to show up here.

    I'm going to strongly disagree with the idea that these people are anything but willfully ignorant. I know they are from your tribe and that they are not stupid people. How could anyone live through the disruption of the pandemic and not find time to look into this matter?

    I have seen quite a few ideas floated about such schemes over the years. Mostly they are just theoretical. I don't believe any attempt to do this would be made unless the world largely agreed and only if we were already in serious trouble. In other words, not till it was too late.

    I'm sorry I offended you. Please note, I am not advocating for the use of spring loaded P/Cs. I am merely saying that if someone else decides to do so that it is not necessarily an error. It means they have considered the advantages and disadvantages and made a decision that is different from yours, or even mine for that matter.
