Er, Deucy... I still say Bring. It. On. See, and if your girls don't like it, that's all right. I'll just drink more. Don't worry, if it's as lucious as you say it is, then it will be consumed in great number. By me. Hey, I just figured it out. I can get about 7 cups of it for one single weekend jump ticket. Hee heee.....!!!!! And nearly 10 if I was going to get that jump packed by a packer. Whaaaaaaaaaahooooooooooooo! (Help!!!) Oh, and Deucy? How the hell did you get on a focus panel for Starbucks? I wanna do that, too!!! I wanna know what delectable treats are upcoming, and then I can gloat and plot and plan just like you. Yeahbob, that's what I could do! Dearest, friendliest, BatBex.... I am relatively young, too. Just depends on who you're asking. To my dad, I'm a young'un...but to you, I'm old. Trust me. See, you live out in the country. I'm describing all of this, from a suburb of Los Angeles, some 3 decades ago. Not country by any stretch of the imagination. And I know you're not dissing american chocolate...but still, man, the chocolate I could get worked for me. And started an addiction the likes of which there is no cure. So yes, Hershey's sucks comparatively, but whatever. Don't deny me my simple pleasures. And no, not that 1/2 calorie nasty "Simple Pleasures" by Hershey's, either. As to your comment Hah, well. See, I'm grounded. No air time. And I haven't dated anyone in so long I think everything is dusty and blechy. So guess what? Chocolate. If your chocolate is so good, I'll taste test it. Send me some, and I will let you know how it compares. (See, I know it would be better, but this is my way of getting someone to take great pity on me and send some chocolate...). Did you know there is no 12 step program for coffee, chocolate, and Barnes and Noble? Which sucks. I have to discipline myself to not take a credit card with me. I don't think the bankruptcy court would think "well, your Honor, I have a reading/chocolate/coffee addition, and I am not responsible for the crime" would be a good defense. OTOH, it is California, so it might fly. Hey, LawRocket? Have any help on constructing a defense for me here? Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

TT, just a suggestion. Banging your head on the study table prolly isn't the way to go. She may not be interested, just wondering why you're thumping your head repeatedly on a wooden plank. All kidding aside...why is it people get so scared of the opposite sex? We jump outta planes for crying out loud. Talking to someone with different plumbing (or the same, if that's your bag) isn't nearly as rough as getting to the door of the plane, and leaping out. Just talk to her. Hi, Batbex I am way older than you. When I was a little girl, telephones still had rotor dials. We were the first on my block to get an answering machine...The TV's remote only had 2 buttons - on, and channel change. As a matter of fact, there were only like 13 channels to worry about. When I was a little girl, it was a good thing to have a Chevrolet Malibu station wagon, and you still had to think about the different grades of gasoline. Chocolate was Hersheys. We didn't get imported, good stuff. Not for years. But man, when we did, it was utter heaven. Of course, that was after I had visited, and then lived, in Europe, and had realized that your chocolate was heavenly, and ours sucked. But Hersheys was better than nothing... Sigh....I'll just keep dreaming, thank you! Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Deuce, er, yes, asparagus. Yep, that's what I meant. Yeppers. Champu... What did I ever do to you? Huh? I mean, really. Teasing me like that is unacceptable. Torturing me with pictures of delectable chocolate, simply irresistable specialness, dancing in my memory, traipsing my dreams...warding off all the girl things it wards off....and then blammo, I come back to reality. And a chocolate-less house. Gee, thanks. You're a good friend. Hey, has anyone ever told you your name sounds like shampoo? Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

The example I thought you were going to use had nothing to do with garlic.... Then I got three words.... Bring. It. On. Hell, let's just blame Hersheys. My first love - Hershey's Special Dark. When I was a wee girl (o.k., yes, that was a long time ago...), if given a choice, that is what I would choose. Every time. And then I grew up and discovered the joys of serious, real chocolate...but it started with Hershey's Special Dark. Sigh... Thanks, a lot, Champu! I appreciate it. Really. I mean that. (Hey, where's the "I'm serious" icon???). Just to let you all understand the depth of my chocolate addiction, I informed my Boss he is no longer allowed to bring in the Belgian Choclates he sets out for everyone. When pressed to give him an answer as to why not, I told him simply "I eat them. Stick to black licorice. I hate that" and flounced out of his office. He laughed. He doesn't realize I'm serious. (Yes, well, the "flouncing" sorta killed the effect, but whatever.). So yeah, thanks, Champu. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Since I've got no-one to go get any for me, that may indeed explain the occasional bitchiness I display. However! A chocolate cure-all from my favorite overpriced, expensive "don't-call-it-coffee" shop is eagerly anticipated. You know what they did, though? "They", those unnamed evil, duplicitous nefarious mean sunso*b*'s put a great Barnes and Noble with Starbucks in the same store....and they encourage you to drink, read, and spend all your money. They accept all credit cards. Drat. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Much love and comfort for you, Pammi, and your family...and health and healing vibes to your father and mother. Let me know if there's anything I can do... Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Lots of people on this thread who I respect have read it. I wonder if my impluse shopping will take over and I'll go get it today? Hrm....a distinct possibility. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Agreed again with Mary....good karma, my friend. Just to be safe, though: "VIBES, lots of VIBES, vibbly VIBES, vobbly Vibes, and then some vabbly VIBES to you..." (yes, I stole those from Lummy...) And let us know how it goes for you. Personally, it is my opinion that any ambulance co will be very lucky to have a guy like you around. Hi, Kris.... Guess what? You're normal. You are doing well, and exactly where you should be, feeling what you should feel. Here's my post about my first solo, where my alti did break...Clicky Realize that you will be fine, you will find your hackey, you do not need to bring anyone into the air with you. You can move through this fear,a nd come out onto the other side of it...I promise. PM me if you need to talk. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Chris, this has been a really rough time for you. One of the things I've learned in my life is that when I am on the wrong path, it gets progressively more difficult to keep walking. It's almost like God (or whomever) says something at first, but I don't listen. And then God gets louder and louder, and finally has to drop a rock on my head to get my attention. LOL!! Another thing I've learned is that no matter what happens, there is a gift in it. Some are hidden a bit better than others, but there is always one, if I take the time and find it. So maybe this is God's way of getting your attention, and letting you know that you were not in the right place for you to be happiest. Maybe this will help you make the change or the redirection towards something else that will be more personally satisfying and more contributory. If you dwell on the loss, instead of moving forward, and taking things with faith and in hope that all will be well, then you will miss the gift. So go find the gift, Chris. You will be fine in the end. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Dunno about Yahoo, but I just ran a quickie on you as Kansasskydiver on MSN and it pulled something up from the Canopy Control forum. Edit...same search with Ed, and what I came up with is a thread "Cross the Picket Line?" from you. It may be that only those threads which are originated by you will be found...but I'm not sure on that. It's easier to find me, because I've had some things on the front page here, that have my full name on it. So if you run a search with my full name, say because that's what you recall from high school, then yes, you'd find some interesting things out about me... Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Actually, yes, but the other way around. Recently an old high school flame ran me in a search engine, and pulled up my work info, as well as my posts here. He contacted me just before my surgery to wish me luck, and we had a great conversation. And paid me a compliment, as well, saying it looked like I turned into a very strong woman. I thought that was neat. And it was fun to hear from him. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Ah. Well, see? I have no idea what I'm seeing, thanks for the info. LOL, at least I knew it was polka dotted. (We could blame it on the fact that I haven't had enough coffee, but the truth is I just didn't know....). Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Just saw a 20 second spot on national TV about him. They were obviously showing footage from yesterday because it was light (the sun hasn't quite risen yet today), but there was a polka dot cessna (??? - not sure about what kind of plane, but it was polka dotted) sitting there. He was cinching his leg straps up as he trotted to the plane... Wayyyyyyyyy kewl! Go JAY!!!!! Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Have a most wonderful time, Wendy. I will get back there someday - I was there a while ago, and simply adored it. Have fun exploring, investigating, and seeing history in between the beers. Take lots of pictures, too... And yes, by all means, let Skreamer spot for you. Imagine explaining to the Irish how you got into the country without a passport - with a South African in tow. That should be interesting, to say the least. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~

Wow, you read the whole book, which was written, edited, and published in less than 4 months, and only released yesterday, already? Kewlio! I haven't read the book. But I do have to say that I think you might be mistaken. She didn't say she hadn't been raped, she said she doesn't remember if she was or not. She also, according to her, doesn't remember a whole lot of the capture and the first day or so. If she doesn't remember it, that doesn't mean it didn't happen. It only means she doesn't remember it. And that sort of "interrogation technique " is about as difficult to withstand and handle as any other. I am not surprised she doesn't remember it. Two additional notes: ~while the Iraqi Drs (those of the "let's cut off her leg so we can fly her to Bahgdad more easily" fame) say there is no evidence of rape, other Drs say there is. ~It is a known "weapon" of torture and interrogation in that particular regime to rape a person; and it happened to others (from the Gulf War, IIRC...I am not sure about Shoshanna Johnson.). As to the Lt. Col issue, one shot was discharged into a discharge barrel, and the other one may/may not have been shot at right angles (in other words, the weapon was NOT pointed at the bad guy) to startle him into understanding that the information was to be given NOW, not tomorrow, not over breakfast of oatmeal, but NOW. I think, however it ends up for West, that this sends a serious and chilling message to those who are dealing with terrorists and insurgents daily. My concern is simply how many of our troops will back down from interrogating the bad guys efficiently enough to prevent a bombing, raid, or other very dangerous event, not receive the information in a timely manner, and we lose more of our troops because of the precedence this CM is setting? And yes, I am 100% behind West. As this was not a physical assault, but a psychological one, and it produced the needed results - information was gained in time to prevent an attack from occurring with potential significant loss of American and Iraqi lives - I do back him for getting what he needed. I read this one as well...and I still say bullshite. But ain't America great?...he gets to express his opinion, she gets to express hers, and then I get to express mine.... As someone who thinks communication is vital, if someone needed to follow me around and clarify - explain or justify, as it were - my position, then I didn't communicate very well in the first place. IMHO, her "essay" was nothing less than a regurgitation and rant of her own, and, again IMHO, just as stupid and belligerant and peurile as her husband's. I am so glad neither one of them are in my household. Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
