Looks like some people need a lesson in sarcasm... For some reason this reminded me of something that happened to me at a friend's house a few months ago: A friend of a friend who I had never met dropped a beer cap on the ground, then apologized while facing me for doing so. I figured he was joking, so I jokingly said "you better be sorry..." and laughed. The kid proceeded to ask me "what the fuck did you just say?!?", several times. At first I thought he was being sarcastic as well... until he threw a punch at me. People are fucking stupid

Welcome back to civilization

N/A

Thanks guys... That's much cheaper than my home DZ
-
Next time I'll probably do better... because I'll probably know what's happening instead of figuring it out after I land
-
Does anyone know what the rates are? I couldn't find the info on their website anywhere...
-
Definitely... can't wait! This trip is officially the most time I've taken off work at once in 3 years

I did most of my AFP jumps with Nanette, Dave C, Frank, and Troy @ SDC... I'm hoping to get some coached jumps in this weekend to work on a few things I'd like to improve. ...or if you meant the tunnel training... 6 of us are heading out there (Tory, Matt, Doug, others...). Not sure who our coach is going to be yet.
-
I actually met the requirements a couple weeks ago.. just got my card in the mail today
-
Just in time for Perris... where I'll be doing tunnel training next week
-
You might have a problem with that one. Hot chicks tend to only date hot guys...me thinks you're out of luck.
-
I was nervous through most of the AFP... though more about not performing well on the jump. I still got a little bit of door fear on my first hop&pop, and again on my first solo after I finished the AFP... but now I'm to the point where I spend most of the ride up wishing the plane was climbing faster so I could get out the door and into freefall

Ron, What you're failing to see is the post I wrote that in response to. The post I was responding to mentioned killing the animal as a last resort.
-
I find it odd that you're bent on distorting the meaning of what I said.
-
I don't know... maybe put it down in a humane way? Just a guess

I'm new, so my opinion doesn't matter much... but I love my Neptune. I've been using it as a wrist alti and have a pro dytter in my helmet as a "you fucked up" backup alarm The display is very easy to read in FF, and the logging feature is pretty cool to have. It is a little bit fragile, but the rubber armor mentioned by someone else pretty much takes care of that problem.
-
So you're going to kill the animal because it's owner doesn't have control of it? Do you have any idea how idiotic that sounds? How about just calling animal control, would that be too much work?

I'd have beat him senseless with a blunt object... regardless of the consequences. Report the guy to the police, people like him don't deserve to live normal lives.

0:1:4 First time riding in the Pitts at SDC... AWESOME experience. First 3-way. First kiss pass... though I didn't really know what the hell was going on when it was happening First time jumping with anyone other than an instructor. Thanks Sunshine and Amy Jo

Seems pretty crazy to me that the starter of this thread already has their mind made up about skydiving... which they've apparently never even tried.

I jump Sabre 2 and have a hard opening in X jumps (on average)
hexadecimal replied to veter_'s topic in Safety and Training
I've had one semi-hard opening (bruised me a bit) on a Sabre2 170... though I'm 90% sure it was my body position during deployment that caused it (I was on AFP3, so I still really had no idea what was going on ). All of my openings on a Sabre2 150 have been great. -
Sportbike rider/canopy pilot parallels
hexadecimal replied to Hooknswoop's topic in Safety and Training
Wow... How did you pull that off??? Which insurance company? I'm paying almost 3x that amount for liability on a '96 CBR600F3! -
Working Saturday Sunday I'll be at SDC for Summerfest

I golf, and I still don't consider golfers athletes.
