You should come up to Skydive Dallas for labor day weekend! We're having a HUMUNGO party complete with hog roast (bleah) and beer & stuff. The only DZs I've been to are Skydive Dallas, Skydive Texas, And Skydive San Marcos. I'd like to check out Temple one of these days, but it's a bit of a haul from Dallas. "Relative" has so many meanings. Pick one.

I remember way back in October of last year, after my first reserve ride, the encouragement I got here really pushed me to get back on the plane. I remember first seeing Pammi & Merrick's wedding photos -- when they first got married. I remember when the only frequent posters were Monk, Freaksis, Pammi, Merrick, SpeedRacer, and JKA. I lurked more than I posted. Sometimes I still do. There will always be newbies and always be people who have been on for longer. People come in waves. I'm happy this place is popular. But resentment is understandable when the whole tone of the thing changes, and there's a bunch of people threatening to leave. Thank goodness Sangiro moderates it, and "this ain't no damn democracy!" The 'net is a nasty place sometimes. But the people who are here make this place what it is, and it's a durn good place.

But what the hell -- if I move, we'll jump ALL THE TIME!! I love SSM! And Shiner Bock! And skydiving! Hey Snowflake -- do I have a "rep" out there already? LOL On Sunday morning, people were telling me, "You HAVE to come back and party with us more often." I'm just wondering, Oh God, what did I DO? Hee hee!

I missed you, Monk. Yeah, I agree with you. There was a very different vibe around here about a year ago. But it's still a good place. Just...different.
