DC 8s didnt have ventral stairs or doors, just side doors as I recall. Not an ideal jet jumpship by any means. http://wn.com/airstair I rarely see 727s flying these days, just a very occasional exec plane. A few DC 8s still soldier on as freight dogs. I see one take off most mornings from SJC as I drive to work. It is a 70 series re-engined with CFM 56 high bypass turbofans, climbs fast. Jerry and Georger, come on back. Don't be run off. Great job Bruce. Now go for the harder interview target: Eageleye Pete. He's already been cleared by the FBI on DNA, so he has little to worry about. I'll bet Pete is all over this uprising in Egypt. I keep looking for him in on scene footage. He didn't miss Tiananmen Square. It must be killing him to be in Windsor CA while a revolution is unfolding abroad. If we offered to parachute Pete right into the thick of it in Cairo I kniow he'd say yes without a moment's hesitation. I am glad Ralph didn't charge you his normal fee. You can now put a price tag on what being "a friend of Jerry" is worth. Ralph is the only ex military P 51 pilot I know who doesnt make a big deal about it. That kind of modesty among fighter pilots is rare. Yeah, Snow corrects me on all sorts of things too. His memory of past posts is almost photographic and his search abilities are off the charts. Snow is permabanned, but he still helps out in an indirect manner. Snow still wont admit making the Dorkzone video on YouTube. If I made something that good I'd sure claim credit. That motel in your cone collage Farflung, I hear KC did some of his best work there. Just joking, PC police can stand down. Farflung never threatens to leave, at least not that I can recall. He knows there are no in and out passes at this dance. All exits loop around to the entrance so the best bet is to just stay put. Georger, Are you in touch with Tom Kaye? What became of the tie pollen analysis? Is he still working on the case? It was pretty extraordinary that he was given access to FBI physical evidence. I'd sure like to know what he found during his tests and analysis. BTW Georger, Orkney Island dxpedition is on 14.190 USB this week. How very very true. There is something about the airline game that's like gambling and destroys rational thinking. Pan Am sold off all their profitable businesses in an effort to save the doomed airline. Sometimes I wonder how DZ can make it even with tandems. As I ride to 14,000 ft for $17 in a million dollar airplane I do feel a twinge of guilt. Yeah. I feed em. I plead guilty and ask for the court's mercy. It comes from an attraction to the weird and bizzare. I don't believe it, I just like it. It's why the local station that broadcasts Coast to Coast AM is on my radio presets. Bob Knoss's stuff is way way out, but so was MK Ultra.
