If KC were my client I'd tell him to remain silent regardless of whatever he told me about his innocence or guilt. Lying to the FBI is a felony all by itself. You can be innocent of the crime you are suspected of committing and end up being convicted for lying during questioning by FBI agents. Best policy is to say nothing and request a lawyer. So many people think they can talk their way out of an FBI inquiry. Not much chance if that working. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Jo wrote: My opinion Jo is that any FBI inaccuracies about Duane were errors not deliberate lies told to cover up the truth. The FBI really wants to solve Norjack. It would give them a perfect record on skyjackings. Ckrt would be a rock star if he was instrumental in IDing DBC. If you presented convincing unambiguous probative evidence that Duane was involved in Norjack you would get rapt FBI attention. They ignore you because you fail to do this, not because they are involved in some massive conspiracy to hide the truth. That's my opinion. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. I'm almost afraid to mention it for fear of killing it, but we seem to have entered a peaceful collegial mood on the forum. Nobody is taking shots at anyone else. Sweet! That Eagle's nest cam is so cool Georger. We get Golden and Bald Eagles out here. I've seen both in the Pt. Reyes area. Not plentiful though. I like Ospreys. Saw one almost get pulled under, sunk his talons into a fish that was a bit too big. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

If you keep this up Farflung I'll have to buy another refrigerator. This last poster has used up the remaining real eatate on the exterior of my thirty three year old Frigidaire. I never thought of the lawn police as Turf Nazis, but now I do and I am getting pissed. Who are they to say that green is superior to brown? The solution is coming, dandelion season, weeds galore and they will spread their little paratrooper seeds far and wide with the spring winds. They can have my antenna when they pry it out of my cold dead hands. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

This system was operating at McChord AFB and should have made it a piece of cake for the scrambled F 106s to intercept the NWA 727. How humiliating to have a C 130 Herc make the catch and the F 106s miss it. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

"I mean it's presentable, but if given a choice between cutting grass and going to the lake for a picnic, gotta tell you the grass is gonna grow for a few more days. " You can be my neighbor anytime 99. Tolerance for imperfect turf is a good fit. Liking big antennas is another plus. Once a neighbor asked if I was "having trouble" with my lawn. Yeah, I said. Watering it, fertilizing it and mowing it is a lot of trouble and my Dad told me to stay away from trouble. Another neighbor fretting about about my awesome new rotary radio antenna, which looks a bit like those things in the Jody Foster movie Contact. It was designed and built by Snowmman himself. The neighbor asked hopefully: "is that thing temporary?". Yeah, I said, it's only there until the really big one gets finished. Welcome to my hood. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Hi Amazon! Hey, a 12 foot estimated 850 lb sturgeon was caught and released last week in SF bay. Locals swear they have seen 1200 lb fish jump. I've seen quite a few 7 footers take to the air near the Carquinez Straits. Ocean salmon season off to a slow start, mostly small fish. They should have kept it closed one more year to allow the stocks to further recover. So what are your thoughts about Peterson? I cant say if he was DBC but he sure was qualified in every area needed to do the jump. it is tantalizing to think that he might have been planning it for years. Bob's (a Boeing engineer) report of Sheridan's query about 727 stair operation in the early sixties is intriguing. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Even a whuffo can use the word whuffo, no protocol breach there. Just don't call a jumper a whuffo and you will be fine. Maybe we can get Jack Nicholson to play DBC in the next movie. That 1959 ad sure does have a Shining aura to it. Missoula is where Sheridan received his smoke jumper training. He likes being an FBI CLEARED Cooper suspect with lingering doubts among jumpers about the validity of the FBI's conclusion. No jail risk and lots of fame. Any skydiver would like being a DBC suspect. I wont lie, I and many other jumpers were disappointed when we failed to draw FBI attention as a DBC suspect. It might still get Sheridan noticed by women, which is what skydiving is all about for guys who are honest about their motives. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. It all comes back to how accurate the sketch was. I have no way of knowing how accurate the FBI sketch is. Nobody but Cooper really knows. In my years of experience in criminal law I saw a lot of composite sketches that turned out to be very inaccurate represntations of the person who was later proven to have committed the crime. Sometimes several close eye witnesses validated the sketch and said it looked just like the perpetrator. They were wrong. This case is far too stale to ever be solved by a witness ID of a Cooper suspect. We need some hot twenties, DNA or something tangile and non subjective. I still think the FBI is (wisely) holding back some material info that could help them discriminate between a poser and the real Cooper. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Is this a photo of Sheridan? Maybe someone knows who this is ... Let me work something up here to illustrate what I will say. http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/l/lawnchairlarry.htm 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Baby it's cold outside. Snowmman challenges you to find these pix yourself and adds these comments: "I had found the Wagner High School alumni web pages. Pete taught English/journalism there, referenced from 9/65 when he had that article in the Stars and Stripes. Reading about the kids experience at WHS is interesting. They talk about local guards who were REALLY accurate with blown darts! The 1966 yearbook page with Sheridan attached. In the same yearbook on another page. Funny bomb scare note. Is that Sheridan at the desk? Maybe Sheridan will read this and fill in the details. I'm sure everyone has read the Stars and Stripes article from 1965?" 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. This too is supposed to be a photo of Sheridan Peterson but Bob thinks it is not. The eyebrows look very different from those in the China jump outfit photo. Can they change shape like that with age? 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

attached - different cranial proportions, note the thick bushy eyebrows ... stocky .. how tall is Pete/Dan? Friendly looking guy ... eye color? Bob says he is pretty sure Dan's eyes were brown. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

That thin nose, chin line and arched eyebrows certainly do not rule him out. Wish we could see the ears. I'd sure like to look that good in my 70s and still be jumping. Jumpers will note that Pete had no cutaway gear on his main risers. Chinese gear, probably military surplus. Scary. Tough old guy. He'd be the right guy to do a night jump into Tripoli and be directing airstrikes on Gadaffi's palace at the crack of dawn. He is VERY anti war, but he hates Gadaffi and thinks he is an insane war ciminal. Pete has lead such an interesting life , including some admirable and very risky civil rights work in the deep south in the 60s. I'd really love a chance to talk with him while he is still feisty and articulate. I've read his book twice now, once looking for Cooper clues and lately just immersing myself in its lessons. I've tried to buy my own copy and get it autographed by Pete, but it's no longer available online and he wont answer my emails. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Hey Amazon, good to see you. Don't be so scarce. Bobby Sue and Billie Jo were thinking in 2D. http://www.guntheranderson.com/v/data/takethem.htm Take the money and jump. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Bob, a Boeing engineer who rented a room to Sheridan "Pete" Peterson in the early 60s, did some cutting and pasting to produce this split face picture of Sheridan Peterson and the FBI Cooper sketch. see below. Bob reports that Pete quizzed him about the 727 stair operation during his stay, but Bob was working on the 737 stairs and couldnt provide the 727 info sought by Pete. Pete, a former Marine and USFS smoke jumper, later went to work for Boeing in tech documentation and also founded the Boeing Skydiving Club. The picture of Pete appears to have been taken in China where he made a record breaking (oldest jumper) parachute jump in his 70s. Whether he was Cooper or not, Pete is a well qualified jumper, is innovative and has courage. He made night jumps, was a wingsuit pioneer, and if he had the bucks would still be jumping today when well into his 80s. Pete ignores my attempts to establish contact but I am sure he is reading this. Hi Pete, liked your very recent letter to the editor of the Santa Rosa newspaper regarding the war in Libya. Let's go jumping. The weather is getting really nice out here in Northern California. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Thanks Farflung, another poster for my refrigerator. I had forgotten the ex convict, former smoke jumper, Ranger trained, parachuting pipeline welders. Thanks for refreshing my memory. I guess they must have jumped with oxy acetylene gear as an arc welder wouldnt be of much use off the grid. These daring young men deserve to be remembered and thanks to you, they will be. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.

Yeah. Take KC and his buddy for example. Occam asks, what were they most likely doing over Thanksgiving 1971? a. having a Brokeback Mountain vacation in the Airstream. b. rendezvousing, as planned, after a successful skyjack jump. c. both of the above. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. I don't know why Blevins gets so much flak. He isn't dogmatic. Says KC might be DBC, but no absolute proof. He obviously didn't make money on the project, although it wouldn't bother me if he did. I don't agree that KC was DBC but see no reason to attack RB personally. Why is he the target of so much venom? Lighten up people. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Doubt it with today's fuel prices. Amjet has done 727 jumps with their freighters if Comcast wants to explore this. No need to pay a stuntman kilobux. I and hundreds of other jumpers with jet jump experience would gladly do it free. Computer graphics is the cheapest way to do it. Greener too. Takes a LOT of fuel. 377 2018 marks half a century as a skydiver. Trained by the late Perry Stevens D-51 in 1968.
