You are clearly more qualified to debate this topic more than I am. I hope you're ready to fight. It's your ring cage now. And yes, I'm being serious about you being more qualified to debate this topic. I just don't like to come off strong about Christianity. If they want to know more about it God will let it happen and they'll come to us for questions about it. If not, then it's just not in God's timing. However, your knowledge and eloquence surpasses mine so, by all means, have at it and good luck. I'll pray for you bro. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

As I had previously replied to your post, I will kindly ask again, Please elaborate. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

That's where you're misinformed mon frere. Christians aren't good people or do those good things for fear of eternal damnation. Once, we accept Christ into our hearts and turn away from our sins, we are saved forever. We cannot lose our salvation. We do those good things because Christ teaches us Love and forgiveness. So let's get that straight. Religion is man made, my friend. Born again Christians don't have a religion. We have what you call "A relationship with Christ through our hearts." And we believe the bible to be the final authority. This is from the purpose driven life website: So have you heard of the difference between Religion and Spirituality? Religion is a guy in church thinking about fishing. Spirituality is a guy out fishing thinking about God. True worship is not going to church and getting worship points. It is thinking about God in relation to everything else. Worship is not what you go to once a week, but what goes on in your head and your heart all the time. If you only knew the power of prayer, my friend. God answers all prayers. You'd be amazed at how he answers our prayers. I have some stories to tell you. We both do. I forgot to mention to leave a donation of $5 before you leave the site, via paypal. It's a great site. Too bad I don't have as much free time on my hands, like most of you guys posting here, then I'd be able to read everything. Oh did I type that? Oh well. Why I oughta send you to the moon buddy! I'm glad you feel that way. You can't get everyone to understand your belief. You just worry about yourself missy.

Dude, no one is forcing anything down your throat. Do as you wish. Live life they way you want to. If you're interested in Christianity, then by all means, be curious. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

I recommend everyone who is interested to go to http://www.carm.org It'll help answer most of your questions about the bible. They sell bibles which only contain the new testament. People can just go by that. There's nothing about hating or killing in there. The only hating in killing in the new testament is when Christ had to suffer through the hating and killing. The old testament has a lot of stories about God's people and the sufferings they had to go through and some history. You can't base it on one verse that commanded people to murder gays and what not. That's like judging a book based on one page. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

You need a qualified pastor to answer this question. Why think about that? Why not think about the Love God has for you? Why not love strangers, help them, and care for them. Why should you hate or gossip? Why not be very forgiving? These are all good things my friend. You're only thinking about the end result. What about the middle part? It's like when you were young, when Mommy or Daddy told you to keep quiet but while they were away, you were yapping away and then in their presence you were quiet again. Then, little did you know, they were video taping you and saw that you were yapping and then grounded you for it. Why wait for the end result? What harm is it in forgiving others, loving one another, not gossiping about others, and being kind and giving to others? How is it going to kill you to believe in Jesus and his teachings? What harm can that cause another person? You're missing the middle of it and you just keep thinking end result. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

Very well said. This is good too. I can relate to this but saying something like this comes off a little too strong. It's the truth but sometimes people don't want to hear who goes to heaven or not if they do this or that or if they didn't do this or that. It turns people off. And it gives people an ultimatum. You have to know Christ and want him to come into your heart. With this, heaven is automatic and eternal damnation is out of sight and out of mind. We shouldn't tell non-believers about judgement. We should only express God's love through Jesus Christ. Awesome! What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

That's so very sweet of you to try so hard to get people to believe. You have a good heart. Quite honestly, let the non believers go about their way. Let them criticize. You've done your part as a Christian should have done. Let God do the rest. You can't twist anyone's arm to believe what we believe. I share your same sentiment. I want the whole world to be saved but you know what? This is reality. Only God can save the whole world. We just have to do our part and what we were made to do. If someone is not saved, they will not believe in the bible. They will think this was written by men 5,000 years ago. They will think it's obselete. They just read few scriptures that say God commands gays to be killed, adulterers to be killed, and theives and sinners to be killed. There's more to it than that. The new testament has the teachings of Christ and he tells all of us to love one another and forgive one another and pray for one another. People don't read that part of the bible. They won't get to see how wise and wonderful his teachings are. The only thing you can do is be a witness to these people. Let them see how Christ has changed your life. Let them see how it doesn't kill anyone to be a Christian. Let them see how happy and pleasant you are because you're a Christian. Then, let God do the rest. God already sent his message to the world when he sent Jesus. He's been proving his existence for thousands of years before Christ appeared. He did his part. Now, we have to do ours carry out his work. However, if people refuse, don't be upset. Let God take over after that. It's in his hands. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

I have to disagree with that. The only time you should be nice and apologetic is when you want to avoid getting a summons. However, if that's your demeanor, then by all means, keep doing it. You don't have to be nice to them so that they're nice to you. I say that because it's a police officer's job to make sure he doesn't violate your constitutional rights. If they do, you can complain about them. Don't get me wrong, everyone would love to be treated with respect. It would make an officers day go so much smoother and pleasant and happy to want to serve his community if people were nicer and respectful to them. I'm just saying, this wouldn't fly in NY. All cops have to be respectful and can't violate someone's constitutional rights in NY. I'm just a little shocked it's not going that way outside of NY. I may be wrong, it may just be the individual but somethings wrong there. I haven't experienced running into cops outside of NY. Therefore, I can't give my opinion about them. You make it sound like he went above and beyond his duties as a police officer. He did his job and that's that. Some might not have been successful but he was. That's what their trained to do. In NY wanted for questioning does not allow Police to have custody of that person. A person is free to go unless they have committed a crime or a felony. Everyone has Miranda rights. Therefore, you're not obligated to speak. In NY this wouldn't fly. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. NY is big on not violating a person's constitutional rights. Unless you are committing a crime or have committed a crime, they cannot search your vehicle. If you consent to have the search done, then you just fried yourself. Well, when you're pulled over, for whatever reason, you really can't just drive away like that because they will chase you and you'll be arrested. You can't expect anyone to understand what we know overnight. Which is why I don't force anyone to believe in what I believe in. I was just like most people, doubting the bible, not believing that Jesus is my Lord and Savior, etc. I used to poke fun at those type of people. I used to hate their preaching. Then, one day, I did a total 180. I don't know how it came about or why I chose this life but I know now God wanted it this way. And I'm sticking to that story. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

Yes, I was kidding. Is it wrong that others get to poke fun and clown around? I can't let the bonfire jokers get all the fun around here. On a serious note. As I had mentioned before, Jesus said that for those that believe in him with all their hearts and welcome him with open arms and turn away from sin shall be saved and live forever in heaven. While those that deny him, will answer to God when their time of judgement comes. Jesus said this. Christians didn't make that up. And why is the focus on all the negative things about Christianity? It isn't going to kill you to love everyone, easily forgive others as Jesus forgives our sins, go to church every weekend, tithe, read the bible, etc. I'm not judging you dude but for me, I get to come home in peace and sleep a good night. I get to see life differently and not be so confrontational. I get to help people that really need help and I don't look for praise or reward. All Christian giving is done privately. It's wrong to do things for recognition. So tell me, where is the negativity in that? How is that hurting someone? How is that insulting someone? Forget about who's going to heaven or who's going to hell. You're looking at the end picture. You're alive here and now my friend. If you were to accept Jesus today as your Lord and Savior, I guarantee, you will witness a life changing event. You'll find yourself hating less, fighting less, gossiping less, etc. Then, you'll see your daily blessings more clearly and thank Jesus for them. Don't be one track minded and only think about heaven or hell. You're missing the whole big picture before that.... What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

Dude, christians don't say this. Jesus said, those that don't believe that he is their Lord and Savior will answer to God and be judged. Those that welcome him with all their heart as their Lord and Savior will live in heaven for all eternity. This is what Jesus said, not what Christians say. Let's get that clear. This one is a tough one. He pulled you over in your car for a reason. You woudln't be able to drive away from him. I would believe that he has a right to chase you and detain you if you did. Had you been on foot and he stopped you, you could just run away or slowly walk away and he absolutely cannot chase you or force you to stay unless you're being arrested. This is your 4th ammendment rights and he was about to violate it. He did not have enough reason or suspicion for contraband to search your car. He also didn't have a right to search your car because you didn't commit a crime or a felony. I think telling him to fuck off, just pissed him off and he thought he could do whatever he wanted to do to you. Of course you were allowed to leave. You weren't under arrest and you didn't commit a crime. I don't know about suing them but you could have definitely made a complaint about him. He was probably a rookie. Most veteran cops know better than that. Hate to say shoulda could woulda but you should have done something about it....now this guy is going around thinking he can do this to anyone and what not. This would never fly in NY. If he was on probation, he would have been canned the very next morning. If he was a veteran, he would have been a laughing stock among the dept, the civilian complaint review board would have had him suspended or he would be on modified administrative duty. You would have definitely had a civil lawsuit on your hands for violating your constitutional rights. And the Dept wouldn't back him up on it. I'm really shocked at how things are done outside of NY. Do you even know the whole entire story behind that? Yes, the guy got shot 41 times by police officers. Here's what really happened. The police officers yelled out their universal command "Police, Don't MOVE!" Well, he moved and he proceeded to go into his back pocket to take his wallet out. Then, as he was doing this, one police officer was backing away, he tripped and his gun went off. At that same time, he was taking out his wallet and all they saw was a black object. Well, when that officer's gun went off, they proceeded to fire at him. The fact that he was in an apartment entrance and against a wall, the bullets from the cops' gun were ricocheting back at them. Therefore, they thought that the alleged suspect was returning fire at them. The fact that he was against a wall, he didn't drop immediately. The fact that they didn't use hollow point bullets, the bullets were ricocheting off the wall. Could this have been handled better? We weren't there and none of us are qualified to honestly answer that. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

I'm not arguing with you about scriptures. I understand that sometimes we lose focus on what we should do and what we shouldn't do. I'm just saying that we're human. We control everything that we do and say. Therefore, being a christian, we should think twice and reassess what we are going to say and debate about. WWJD (What Would Jesus DO?) Would Jesus Gossip? No. Would Jesus judge others? No. We're not better than Jesus. Why are we trying to justify our faults. People make mistakes but as Christians, we should do our 1000% best not to gossip. Prayer is the way to help people that need help, not gossip. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

That's what you're saying. I didn't say that. The bible didn't say that. Those are your words. Where did you hear that Christians believe that they're going to heaven and others are not? State your valid and reliable source, please. What's this about devout born-again christians? There is no such thing. Like I said, we're all human and we all make mistakes, knowingly or not. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

Yes, I know that and I understand that but if you're going to set an example you should try your darndest not to gossip. We're human, we're all in control of what comes out of our mouths. There's just no good reason to gossip. I can't even think of a good reason why christians should gossip about others. Christians have to understand that God will judge them for gossiping. Like I said, if you're not pure like Jesus, you shouldn't criticize others or judge them. Jesus was the most pure being, if he didn't gossip about others and judge others, how are we better than him? Therefore, if we're not better than him, why are we gossiping and judging others? Does that make sense? What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

That's one thing about christians my friend. We're all made for a purpose. Some are meant to help a few along the way and some are meant to give up their life and dedicate to others. I try my best to make sure I have to do what I have to do to live the christian way in everything that I do. That in itself is a hard task. As I meet people along the way that I feel need a push here and there, I give them advice, support, etc. If there are fallen christians that lose their way, I do the same for them. I don't go out of my way to look for troubled individuals. That's how God works. He puts people in our path so that we can help them. That makes you God's children. God loves everyone. Even those that do evil. Which is why those that gossip about the ones that are not saved or the ones that don't know God, aren't being Christian in their ways!!! I don't know how much more clear I can be about this: CHRISTIANS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO JUDGE PEOPLE. THIS IS WHAT GOD DOES. CHRISTIANS ONLY HELP THOSE THAT WANT HELP. No one is more forgiving than God is. If you ask forgiveness for your sins, regardless of what they are and regardless of how great or how small the sin is, you are forgiven. Just as long as you stay on track and do your personal best to do what God wants you to do. Get this out of your head: Christians are not made out of one mold. Some christians do more great than others. Some are still clinging on to their bad habits and what not. So to those Christians that Judge others and gossip about others that are not saved or that do not know God: SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE! Clean your own backyard first before you judge others! If you're backyard is spic and span, then by all means have at it. However, no one is pure except for our lord and savior, Jesus Christ! What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

Thanks. Sometimes I just wish those christians that judge others see their faults first. I never try to convince anyone to cross to the other side. However, if they come to me with questions or if they're interested in knowing more about Christianity, I try to lead them in the right path. I'm only harsh to fallen christians or those Christians that are judgemental. I try to let them know where they stand and how they have no right to judge anyone. Unfortunately, I have a life to live, a job to work at, and bills to pay. I also enjoy certain luxuries. Therefore, I cannot devote my time like missionaries do to help others. I can only do what's convenient for me at that given moment. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?
