Non-denominational churches which the people have a "Relationship with Jesus through their hearts would never say such things. I'm not going to judge other religions out there or other Christian denominations. Jesus wants us to love one another. Everyone around the world is loved by God. Christian or not, to hate someone or a group for what they believe in or what religion they are is a no no. Don't you worry friend, people who have hate in their heart will have an unpleasant surprise waiting for them come judgement day. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

Which is exactly why God sent down his only Son to be a passovist. People were killing eachother, hating eachother, and stealing from one another. It's more to it than dying like a female private part. It was his calling. It's the reason why he was sent to earth. His blood and his blood alone would symbolically wash away our sins. He died for you and me, before he even knew us. Now, that's LOVE! What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

Paj means very well. His heart is in the right place. He really does care enough about you to go the extra mile. Believe it or not, even though Paj doesn't know you, he loves you enough to share God's love for you. You couldn't be more right my friend. Most Christians preach too much about Judgement, heaven and hell. There's not enough discussion on his love and forgiveness. I prefer to focus more on the latter. God created us so he could love us and for us to love him back. He's only asking to receive the same love that he's giving you. That's a fair trade! God only expects one thing out of you. To believe that his Son is your Lord and Savior, that he died for your sins, he was resurrected 3 days later and to ask for forgiveness. He's not asking you to pull a rabbit out of your ass or something that will take years of your life to accomplish. That's actually 4 things but it's said in one breath. Thanks but don't give me any credit, I'm just a regular schmuck like you. Most Christians whom have a relationship with Jesus through their hearts acknowledge science but do not worship it. It's the basis of learning our world, our universe and us. It has shaped our lives tremendously. Technology alone has opened many doors for us. The study of anatomy of all living things helps us to understand our health, our genes, and our sicknesses, etc. There are way too many benefits to mention regarding what the study of science has given us and how we have advanced from it. Now, what we believe is that God is the creator of all that is. All that is created is the fabric that is woven by God. The more a Christian learns about these things the more we can glorify our Almighty Creator. The bible does not contradict science. I'm going to stop there because this is where my expertise to argue this point leaves me because I have only been a Christian for 3 years now and I have so much to learn. You can look up www.carm.org - for some interesting reading regarding Science and Christianity www.equip.org - Ask Hank Hanegraaff he's an expert on debating issues regarding the bible. The Spherical Shape of the Earth - "He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in" (Isaiah 40:22). The Hebrew language did not have a word for "sphere." Circle is quite sufficient. The Earth is suspended in nothing - "He spreads out the northern [skies] over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing" (Job 26:7). The Stars are Innumerable - "He took him outside and said, "Look up at the heavens and count the stars -- if indeed you can count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be" (Genesis 15:5). The Existence of Valleys in the Seas - "The valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations of the earth laid bare at the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of breath from his nostrils" (2 Samuel 22:16). The Existence of Springs and Fountains in the Seas - "In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month -- on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened" (Genesis 7:11). See also Gen. 8:2; Prov. 8:28. The Existence of Water Paths (Ocean Currents) in the Seas - "O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!...When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,...You made him [man] ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet...the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas" (Psalm 8:1,3,6,8). The Hydrologic Cycle - "He wraps up the waters in his clouds, yet the clouds do not burst under their weight" (Job 26:8). "He draws up the drops of water, which distill as rain to the streams; the clouds pour down their moisture and abundant showers fall on mankind" (Job 36:27-28) - "The wind blows to the south and turns to the north; round and round it goes, ever returning on its course. All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again (Ecclesiastes 1:6-7). The Concept of Entropy - "In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded" (Psalm 102:25-26). The Nature of Health, Sanitation, and Sickness - The listing for this section is too large for this page. But the scriptural references are Leviticus chapters 12 through 14. I cut and pasted that from www.carm.org What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

I'm going to be impartial here. I'm a Christian who attends services in a non-denominational church. Just like anything else, he should read the signs and just back off and respect your ideals. I'm sorry to hear that. That must be quite annoying and probably hurtful to you, unless you've developed thick skin already. He's going a tad bit overboard here. He's practically shoving it down your throat which is totally opposite of what Christians that have a true relationship with Christ in their hearts would do. Clearly his intentions mean well but his approach lacks tactfulness and he's way too aggressive. That's a pile of crap. I'm shocked to hear that his denomination feels that way about science. Science helps us learn our universe and the world we live in, it cures diseases, it helps to make life convenient, it creates a better tomorrow and all that good crap. It's a shame. It's a darn shame! Here's what it boils down to. Your brother is going way over the top to try to convert you. This is totally opposite of what Christians should do. He should have only given you the good news (gospel), prayed for you , and then left it as that! You simply cannot change another person's heart! It's not possible. Only God can do that and your bro should have known that. Going the extra 100 miles or going above and beyond is not the way God wants us to spread his good news. Now as far as his denomination being a cult goes, I cannot judge others but I will give my opinion. Christians who attend non-denominational church services have what we call "a relationship with Christ through our heart."We don't judge atheist or other religious beliefs. We believe that there are millions of good people out there that are non Christian. We tell them the Good News, pray for them and that's that! That's where it ends. God takes care of the rest. The other Christians that curse you, belittle you, are bitter towards you or get angry at you, etc clearly are not being true to what God wants us to do. We're not superior than anyone out there, Christian or Not. Christians need to get a grip on this. Believe you me those Christians that believe that they are superior to you or even judge you have a little surprise coming to them when they meet God and it's not going to be pleasant. So that's my take on it. Let the flames re-ignite! What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

Dude, I'm a joker and prankster and I don't get offended by mockery and I laugh at anything that's funny regardless of who's expense it's at but that was bad. That was so dry dude. The Happy Daysians, the Fonz 19:74 was funny but you should have left it at that. Don't quit your day job my brother! Merry Christmas to you and Happy Holidays dude. Well said, my friend. Why don't we all just move on and be joyful this time of year instead of worrying about what to call it and what not to call it. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

Dude, Christmas is the reason for the season to celebrate the coming of Christ. The trees, santa claus, and the whole gift giving is a reminder of the Savior who gave the greatest gift of all. John 15:13 "Greater Love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." I attend services at 3 different non-denominational churches and this is what they believe the Christian tradion is regarding Christmas. I know you're speaking factually and history totally backs you up. However, if you open your mind and open your heart, you can find the joy and love that Jesus wanted us to share with one another this coming season every season. Merry Christmas to you all. I know what you mean. We will always slip up here and there. I was referring to the 10 commandments and how we all broke at least one of them. Therefore, we can never live a life good enough to merit us into heaven. Living a good life as far as being true to yourself, being good to others, being a giving person, never screwing people over, being an honest person is not impossible. There are probably millions of people that live that kind of life. In this earthly world, that's being a good person and living a good life. Christian or not, I love being surrounded by people that possess at least one of those above mentioned qualities. However, in the eyes of God, without being redeemed by Christ you can never be good enough or live a good enough life to get into heaven. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

Don't ever feel you'd be offending Chrstians by miswording or not grasping things and what not. It is never "OK" to sin as a Christian. It's fine if you committed a sin and ask for forgiveness, just try your darndest to not repeat it again. It's not about going to church, giving money and trying to convert others. What matters is what's in your heart and how your heart is in relationship with Jesus. Christians go to church for worship and fellowship with other Christians. It's not abot converting others either. You cannot convert a person's heart. Only God can. However, you can spread the good news (gospel). Once you've done your part God handles the rest. What's the goal, you ask? Jesus loves you. He loved you so much that he died for you and I and paid your sins in full for you and I. All he wants is for you to love him as much as he loves you. Going to heaven is a free gift from God. It's not something you earned by being a Christian. Living a good life? There is no such thing. You are not perfect and God knows that. You can't live a sinless life. With the saving grace of Jesus you can live a blameless life. Those that live a good life? You mean someone who never broke the 10 commandment's and they never ever ever heard about the Gospel of Jesus? I honestly don't know. This is a good question to ask a Pastor or Theologian. I just know that if a person led a good life and never ever broke the 10 commandments but has rejected Jesus. That person's name will not be in the book of life. A Christian that does horrible things to people and continues to do this to people? How do we view this person? As a Christian, it's not right for us to judge people whether they are Christian or not. However, my speculation would be that this person obviously has backslidden and has lost his relationship with Christ through his heart. Perhaps this person's heart wasn't 100% when he gave his life to God. Perhaps he became a Christian because he thought it was the right thing to do. Perhaps this person became a Christian because he didn't want to go to hell. Who knows? It's all speculation because i don't know the given situation and the person you're referring to. The bottom line is that he/she will be judged accordingly by God. How shoud you react to the same person if they're preaching to you? If this person is spreading the gospel of Jesus he's giving you "the good news". If on the other hand, this ame person is preaching to you about how to live a Godly life or what you're doing is sinful, that's a different story. Basically, if this same person is not giving you the good news and he wants to call you out and judge you, then he is a hippocrite and he's doing the exact opposite of what God wants him to do. A lot of Christians may or may not have the same views about this than I do. A true Christian church will believe: 1. Jesus is your Lord and Savior, he died for your sins and 3 days later he was resurrected to build a mansion for us to live in all eternity with him. 2. We have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through our hearts. 3. The bible is the final authority of God. Before I became saved I researched Christianity for at least two years. I found a lot of answers through going to different non-denominational churches, reading tracts and booklets, and havng my own experiences of seeing God through the eyes of my heart. A good source of info is: http://www.carm.org Great books to read to help your research: 1. The Purpose Driven Life 2. The Bible Answer Book by Hank Hanegraf What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

You've just contradicted yourself my friend. How can a person be a good Christian if they did all those things? Be more specific when you say screwing people over. There are a lot of Christians out there that think by going to church and asking for forgiveness will actually give them forgiveness. Or they go to church and preach all this holiness and love and the minute they leave church they quickly forget where they just came from. If they keep this up, they too will be judged for and punished for their unrighteousness, don't you worry buddy, that's God's job not yours. Remember that Christians are people too. We all make mistakes. A Good Christian will make a mistake, be concious of it and will not repeat it again. We're not superhuman and we're not perfect. Those that claim they are, are not true christians. Like someone else had mentioned: There are also bad atheists, bad muslims, bad catholics, etc. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

Christians aren't perfect people. They're human beings just like the rest of you. This dude was obviously not a true Christian. True Christians know that it's not church that makes you Christian or what makes you good but it's what's inside your heart that does. I don't know what happened between your mom and this guy but like I said Christians are people too. They'll make the same mistakes that you can make. As far as him leaving your mom, he obviously wasn't a true Christian because true Christians will not leave a person for a much better person. I'm not saying your mom was a less better person but I think you know what I mean. However, he's still human like you and I. So we'll do dumb or insane things like anyone else. My friend, there are plenty of wayward Christians out there in this world. Like I said, they're human beings. They're not perfect. If anyone were perfect, they wouldn't be human. I'm not going to judge anyone but most of those misguided Christians make the bad stereotype for other Christians. What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

If you're planning on schmoozing and rubbing elbows then dress to impress. Otherwise Jeans, t-shirts and sneakers are allowed. Just don't go in there naked. Seriously, as they say in NY, "Just don't look like a bag of shit!" What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss, Friendo?

A professor at the University of Arkansas was giving a lecture on the supernatural. To get a feel for his audience, he asks, "How many people here believe in ghosts?" About 90 students raise their hands. "Well, that's a good start. Out of those of you, who believe in ghosts, do any of you think you've seen a ghost?" About 40 students raise their hands. "That's really good. I'm really glad you take this seriously. Has anyone here ever talked to a ghost?" About 15 students raise their hands. "Has anyone here ever touched a ghost?" 3 students raise their hands. "That's fantastic. Now let me ask you one question further... Have any of you ever made love to a ghost?" Way in the back, Bubba raises his hand. The professor takes off his glasses, and says, "Son, all the years I've been giving this lecture no one has ever claimed to have made love to a ghost. You've got to come up here and tell us about your experience." The big Arkansas redneck student replied with a nod and a grin, and began to make his way up to the podium. When he reached the front of the room, the professor asks, "So, Bubba, tell us what it's like to have sex with a ghost?" Bubba replied, "Shiiiiit! , from way back thar I thought you said, Goats." Here's the deal, people. I'm in the Police Academy, I have to train everyday, no ifs, ands or buts. I cannot scale the training down. I'm the company sergeant and I have to look good. If I drop out of runs like most of my recruits do, I'll lose face, get demoted and walk in shame for the rest of my career as a cop at the NYPD. Sometimes they make us run 3-4 miles a day sometimes just one mile a day, depending on the tactics regimen that they have in plan for us. The Academic instructors think that the training regimen that they give us is inhumane but we cannot do anything about it. It's their house and their rules. I only sleep 4.5-5 hours a day because I have tons of homework and studying to do afterwards. Unfortunately, there's no going around this. The only sound sleeping that I can do is on the weekends.
