personal preference, they are both good. I can pack faster and cleaner with pro myself. I would say I do flake but, I have found my openings to be a bit more consistent when I do, and it only takes me about 25 seconds more to do. The only real reason to flake is to help the canopy material from wearing out too fast. I have seen people screw around and take forever on flaking and have malfunctions, and I pretty well trash pack and have had no malfunctions with a fully elliptical 150 loaded at nearly 1.7 don't try your bullshit with me!!!

safire 2 would be a good one. The diablo is known for turning fast, and also known as having very very little flare. I think that you will find in the future that how fast your canopy turns will be little concern to you. don't try your bullshit with me!!!

my javelin was made in 01 and it always had main flap open while sit flying and I have seen others with their riser covers open while head down. Yes, my canopy was sized correctly for that rig. Your are right the mirage is more expensive but you can find most any other of the above mentioned containers for a very reasonable price. I would rather not be worrying about my gear in freefall and have the extra piece of mind. I got a v3 made in 04, container reserve '04 and cypress '03 for $2000, added a viper 150 main with low jumps on it and was good to go. Best rig on the market wi cyp and pd reserve and great main for under 2500, I think that is a very reasonable deal and I will not have to buy another one probably ever. The point that I am trying to get by is that a lot of people gettign out or something will sell their gear for good deals and they are out there if you keep and eye out. You can also get some of the best rigs on the market in those deals. That is the main point I am trying to get out there don't try your bullshit with me!!!

I have owned both javelin and dolphin and was not satisfied with either. My point is that there are containers that I mentioned that are used and cheap and are a heck of a lot more functional than all the ones that you have mentioned. Why pay the same or more for a less functional container? don't try your bullshit with me!!!

Have you considered a Firefly suit. They are the shit. Sherry the owner is super easy to work with and can make you anyhting you want and is a damn site cheaper than everyone else. I got my suit for 240 or so with the v strpe pattern, and it fits perfect and the material lasts forever. don't try your bullshit with me!!!

Swooped right next to an old folks home with a friend of mine, dead serious. We landed started walking towards the road and an old woman (not at the old folks home by the way) started talking to us. She was an old farm girl, guessing late 60's early seventies by the look of her. Did not even bother her that two guys landed right near her place. She thought it was neat, she was actually weeding her flowers. She stopped everything she was doing and demanded that we let her give us a ride home. God I hope! The airlines are also the same ones that kill new airlines that come in by lowering their costs below what the new airline is offering, just long enough until the new one goes bankrupt. have not packed that model but if its the max it will be tight but not impossible to get in there. My vectors max is 135 but I can get my 9 cell 150 in no problem at all. Best way to be a good packer is to pack a lot. I did usually 3-5 a night in my basement when I wasn't jumping and now I can pack fast and clean. I think you should be able to get that canopy in there no prob. don't try your bullshit with me!!!

I think the only way that a per jump cycle would work is if we did have ultimate authority on when our gear is serviced. That would also tell me that everyone would be on the honor system. That also reminds me that there are idiots that would brush off there gear maintenance just because of ignorrance or they may just not care. I could maybe see someone getting hurt because of negligence. Maybe someone doesn't take care of their loop lets say and there reserve fires in a formation. That might really suck for more than just that person, far fetched but could happen. Whole other subect now but what I can see happening is that maybe we go to six months, which would be good and I want that to happen. I can see someone having a problem with their reserve and it totally being UNRELATED, but would blame it on the longer cycle and maybe starting a shit storm. I can see some dumbasses buying into that. I would guess that most people would think that a six month cycle is more risky wether they are educated or not, the majority usually wins those debates.
