I voted Potato Salad and Baked Beans... but I have to qualify them both. I like the chunked potatos with a VERY LIGHT spread of mustard, scallions, red onions, a little olive oil and a good handful of herbs & spices. I really like the mayo potato salad.. same way.. except I like it cold and not that "I wonder if I'm going to be sorry for this latter" kinda warm. Beans. Bush Beans and Doctor them up a little too. Love the onion ones with some garlic Chalula sauce on it. If you're going to invite me over and serve those two ugly tubs of yellow mush and bean paste.. let me know in advance and I'll bring those two sides. Agreed. About a year ago I went to the USCG On-Scene Coordinator's Course (Advanced PIO) in Yorktown. One thing I did learn was, "This is the information we currently have... We will let you know more at xx/xx/xx at 18:00 hrs." The initial report need be swift and transparent, the initial conclusion needs to be as accurate as possible, the next and subsequent meetings should immediately, 1) reinforce the initial conclusions, or 2) correct the first conclusion and give a 'why' as to that conclusion's inaccuracy. Subsequent meetings at regularly scheduled intervals... each a building block (yep same lingo) towards "Trust and Truth." When people are looking at the facts dispassionately it's generally OK to let the facts come out as they come out. If you're looking at them only to prove (or disprove) a point, then you need to wait until they're all in. Which kind of looking at are they doing? Neither a warrant nor probable cause are required for a stop & frisk in the field for possible weapons. What is required is "a reasonable suspicion that the person has committed, is committing, or is about to commit a crime and has a reasonable belief that the person "may be armed and presently dangerous." This has been the law in the US since the 1968 SCOTUS decision in Terry v. Ohio. , and it remains the law today. So in my mind the question is whether the NYPD's frisks comply with Terry. If they do, then a generation of caselaw is on their side. If they don't, then IMPO they're probably unconstitutional. P.S, each individual stop & frisk is unique, and thus must be analyzed separately. Shakes head... So, technically, "Minority Report" was nonfiction. Just my $.02 from a former Instructor.. there was a time when brief backs between I & S were thorough and in each of the series of briefings, each should have risen in urgency so as not to make this a total blindside for the student. Shame on the previous Instructor for handing off the dirty deed for someone else to have to bear and shame on them both for not creating an environment where the Student arrives at the bowling speech on their own.
