  1. Nobody knew Obama until about 8 minutes before he was on the ticket - and his life was not as interesting as Moore. But, you guys keep going down this path without disrupting something.
  2. Afternoon, Jerry That doesn't appear to be the case. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/approval/kamala-harris/ My thought process was Biden sounds as if he's determined to run. Most (as on here) will vote for him again, but if sumpin happens; Moore gets the P seat. BTW: Wes Moore wrote a book - The Other Wes Moore. Gives quite an insight into him.
  3. I sometimes wonder how you and Bill find time to be on here as much and as often.
  4. "And I saw the unbelievable thinness of our planet's atmosphere. In that moment, I was hit with the sobering realisation that that paper-thin layer keeps every living thing on our planet alive." "I didn't see the economy. But since our human-made systems treat everything, including the very life-support systems of our planet, as the wholly owned subsidiary of the global economy, it's obvious from the vantage point of space that we're living a lie." He insisted we need to focus on more important issues like the climate crisis, instead of the economy. "It's obvious from the vantage point of space that we're living a lie," Garan added. "We need to move from thinking economy, society, planet to planet, society, economy. That's when we're going to continue our evolutionary process." https://www.ladbible.com/news/science/nasa-astronaut-178-days-space-ronald-garan-562427-20240711
  5. Morning, Jerry How would you feel if Biden replaced VP Harris with Gov. Wes Moore? Keith
  6. What is that; the Tango or the Foxtrot? If you read the information, article and/or author I posted earlier, you would know - Let me do it for you. It matters not what tribe they belong to - the performance/result measures are the same.
  7. Whew. For a second there, I thought the gubment was gonna tax my existing vacuum and force me to get a new solar one.
  8. You think gas is expensive; try feeding five horses in the winter.
  9. That's a 1970's perspective. Welcome to the 21st Century. What Bill said above is the key - "Intentional Families." Years of research by Dr. Manning would indicate that, "Beliefs that gay and lesbian adults are not fit parents, or that the psychosocial development of the children of gay and lesbian parents is compromised, have no basis in science. Our position is based on a review representing approximately 50 empirical studies and at least another 50 articles and book chapters and does not rest on the results of any one study. These articles appear in such journals as Developmental Psychology, the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, the American Psychologist, the Marriage and Family Review, the American Journal of Orthopsychiatry, and the journals of Family Relations, Sex Roles, and Social Work. An annotated bibliography on the topic can be found on the website of the American Psychological Association." You can read more about it if you're interested. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4091994/
  10. First, take your current annual income and factor it out over thirty years at a compounded 7% increase. Once you determine the total value; ask yourself if saving a few bucks to reach that is worth it.
  11. If bringing in a new line is too expensive; one may wish to reconsider their Tesla purchase.
  12. Depends. Did he say it on Truth Social, cause you know it's in the name right? Sorry. Lame attempt at humor this morning.
  13. Only nine out of 28 policies that respondents were asked about had net positive support, the YouGov survey found. Calls to eliminate the Department of Education did not prove popular amongst the YouGov survey's respondents: 58 percent said they "strongly or somewhat oppose" the plan. Nearly 60 percent of people disagree with cutting taxes on corporations, according to YouGov. Fifty-six percent of respondents opposed ending the ACA. Fifty-nine percent of respondents in the YouGov survey were opposed to "changing the law to allow presidents to fire civil service workers for any reason." I found this article to be fair and unbiased. https://www.newsweek.com/project-2025-how-popular-are-policies-trump-proposals-second-term-1919663
  14. You are correct. The conversation was regarding medical doctors. Anyone with a PhD has my utmost respect.
  15. Except only one uses the term Doctor. I get where Jerry's coming from. Not long ago; Chiropractors went off the rails with claims of curing cancer, using homeopathic & naturopathic remedies and making "faith healer" type promises.
  16. Thanks. Question. It's my understanding the Ozone Layer is between 45 & 90,000' Do the stronger storms have a negative or positive effect on that layer? EDIT: Never mind. Found it. https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/images/5572/hurricanes-and-ozone#:~:text=Surrounding the eye of a,causing ozone concentrations to drop.
  17. Yet, your own posts for the past few days lay considerable doubt. Course, I understand to certain extent. The left would vote for a potato on a stick to vote against Trump. Which makes my point. Mr. Potato head fans will vote against Mr. Shit Head and vice versa. I rest my case.
  18. https://chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2024/07/05/chicago-fourth-july-violence-12-dead-55-shot 100 People shot, 17 dead in Chicago. Damn.
  19. There's a ton of metrics over the past 70 years that would contradict this statement - and from the left, right, NIH, Prison Bureau, etc. I understand how you and Jerry feel. I've been that way for a long time. It has become the worst "Vote Against" I've seen in my lifetime.
  20. I pick you, Bill & Nerdgirl to come up with a solution. I'm great at building teams. :)
  21. It was 110-114 Degrees here last week and the Teslas ran fine. Instead of wondering; you could have asked.
  22. I got faith that you'll figure out something, Bill. :)
  23. Damn I'm good. Just a little late and have overpriced ideas. :)
