Towards the end of a past relationship....I did. While we were together the movie When Harry met Sally came out....it gave me alot of insight. WoW!! Thats dedication to something that you REALLY want!! The colors are really vibrant! The one that I have on my shoulder was a "two sittings" deal. I hated the fact that I had to go back after it healed the first time only to go back so I can go thru the trouble with dealing with another healing tattoo..the pain was incredible (shoulder blade, you know?!) the first sitting which lasted 2 1/2 hours...the second sitting lasted for an hour. Most who have a tattoo did not get one because it was a "trend". Tattoos are a way of telling a "story" or never "forgetting" a significant time in ones life. Some will tell you that they are "addictive", I find this to be true for myself...whether it is for anyone else that is hard for me to say...I have four...each one has a special meaning behind it....a "story" if you will...Each time I got one I waited anywhere from 6 months to a year to make sure it is what I really wanted...I put alot of thought into each one and I thought about WHY I wanted each one. For me my tattoos are not about being a "trend", it signifies something VERY specific for me and there is a story behind each one...one being very specific and all I have to do is look at it and it brings fond memories, BUT it also reminds me not to go down that road again. My four tattoos are truly is a works of art..one of a kind....6 months to a year of thought and exactly "what" I wanted to convy to MYSELF is in each one. The one thing that did peak my interest in tattoos was that my Grandfather had a few and I was always fascinated by his tattoos as a little girl. My family says that I am very much like my Grandfather...he passed away many many moons ago. I will take that compliment and run with it...thank you very much!!

on my neighbor.... Well yesterday around 3:30 her daughter came over and handed me a baggies of doggie chews, nicely wrapped with a bow, for my dogs...her daughter handed them to me and said..."here these are for your dogs." I said.."well thank you, that is very sweet." Her Mom, Karin was out front and watched and I waved over to her and yelled "thanks!" She waved back.... She was outside most of the afternoon playing with the kids...hers and mine...this is the time of day that we would have typically gotten together...maybe have a "safety meeting"..talk about the day events...etc. I stayed inside and wonder about the "peace offering" or at least thats what I would call it. Then Daniel came home and I went outside to get something from my truck..she was out there sitting with her youngest and called over and asked if "Daniel was upset because he was playing with the older boys and is he alright." I yelled over...I didn't walk over to her and said.."I believe he is fine." I walked back into the house....she stayed outside...typically one of us would go outside and the other would walk over..so I wonder if she was waiting for me to come out. I didn't...I was wondering WTF was up...not sure how to handel the situation...then I was walking my dog... and she had taken my youngest son and her kids for a ride to run an errand...thats ok.....her kids and my kids shouldn't suffer because of whatever maybe going on between the parents and she showed no signs of being rude to my kids..so they can still hang out..any who...I was walking my dog and she was heading back into the neighborhood..she was going to make a left back onto the block and saw me so she headed my way...oh great I thought to myself....nowhere to hide...she pulled up next to me and said that she had picked up something for the kids to play with at the store on the way back...I said...oh great that should make them happy..wonderful...she waved and said see ya. I figured that I would take this very slow...her voice was almost none exsistent...I guess from yelling...I figured that if we get back to the point of being really friendly again...I will confront her about what went on in a "round about" way.
