I don't think she should be in the competition....her Grandmother is a professional singer....winning numerous awards and such...she has connections that she could have used to get her grand daughter in the business or at the very least her foot in the door...Paris's spot should be taken by someone that would not have that kind of oppurtunity...someone off the street so to speak....Paris is good..maybe too good....ts not fair. I KNOW my son is no angel...hell just last week i washed his mouth out with soap...I posted that in the Bonfire Forum..... I am the first to look at it from the "other side" and then take alook at my son's story...he tends to leave a few details out (BUT I did sit him down and asked him to tell me the WHOLE story)...BUT.....I think as a teacher and as a parent you need to pick and choose your battles wisely...to send a kid down to the principals office for singing a song, during a classroom break...is just STUPID....the teacher should be able to deal with it...going to the principals office...there is a permanent record of the visit in his student file....its just ridiculous...its not like he was in front of the whole class drawling attention to himself he was just singing a song...if she has a problem with the lyrics, so be it...but deal with it...don't threaten to send him to the principals office where it will be totally blown out of proportion. Last night Taylors hair looked as though it had been cut....slightly parted to the side too as opposed to being in the middle....I don't think they could color his hair...it wouldn't look right and it wouldn't be Taylor. Hear the name Taylor Hicks...you automatically think gray hair. Elliots hair just REALLY bugs me...whats up with those bangs?? It looks as though they used a bowl to cut around his hair. I like Stevie Wonder...but I can't say that I love him...there are a few choice songs for me....so with that said.....I really struggled to watch last night....I did flip back and forth between American idol and Sons and Daughters...I did catch Taylor's performance...I was specifically waiting for him....yep he did a great job!!!!
