agreeing with BOTH you and snakebait above I have been around this sport since 97' with STILL under 100 jumps and flew my first 190 last year... Just depends on ONES comfort- 1-actually getting the nerve to goto the DZ 2-actually donning the rig on ones back! 3-actually getting on da' plane! 4-jumping out the freakin door! 5-BUT DAMMMMN....it feels sooooo GOOD!!! 8-So i/we do it AGAIN!!! Woo~freakin~Hoo.. All in all we are all different with different mindsets when doing this hobby/lifestyle/job! But I personnelly would never ask to borrow someone elses rig! If it was offered I would still hesitate... Like last year after my chop... A few rigs were offered and I said thanks but no because I did not want to be responsible for messing it uP if anything were to happen on any particular dive!! So I bought a cheapo like 2weeks later! NOW I have TWO rigs! Make that three by the end of this season when i get my first tailored rig for ME!!! Everyone of is DIFFERENT in someway shape or form! peace :DD

I am not all that sure that a "six figure salary" benefits the student! A REAL teacher is going to teach no matter what their pay is. The ones that complain that they don't get paid enuf for what they have to go through to teach, probably would not be a better teacher with a major raise. So therefore, I believe that a "lazy whiney" teacher/instructor would just be taking away money for their pocket while the student(s) would still be left "pushed for excellence". I also want to insert that a student has to have a drive to be excellent! But if society, teachers, politics, economy, lack of parents/mentors is LACKING in a students life, there may not be any drive anyway to where a highly paid teacher could help..

Lots of circunstances for saying it... Meaning it and then acting on this "ULTAMATUM" are entirely two different ideals!!! Typically said to get them (the children) to wake their lil ass uP and see REALITY!!! I have said it and later within the hour appologized for saying it because 1- I knew I could never actually carry it out and 2-She knew that deep down I didnt really mean it! Did it change what my daughter was/is doing that displeases me so? NOPE!! She knows that it is "Her bed that She is making" for Herself and that I am dissapointed.... Some disresecpt against me, but then again She is a person (17yoa) so in her eyes I am disrespecting her life.... CATCH 22 and it CAN totally suck being "a parent" sometimes.... But 99% of the time it is and has been AWESOME watching these weeds grow with a lil pruning along the way. I have really GREAT, FANTABULOUS WONDERFUL etc daughters! I am a VERY blessed father!!! agree! I voted "depends on the jump" Esp in a group dive. I use to not wear one doing solo jumps until I had a downwinder and flipped over a few times.... I pretty much wear one on any jump now. I do like the "freedom" of not wearing one ie "wind/air through my hair and about my face, however since I have let my hair length kinda get out of hand, the helmet keeps my hair from infringing on my vision. LAW? NO!!! Students yes including AFF, GROUP JUMP=leave it uP to the group! SOLO= uP to the jumper COMPETITION= rules are rules!! peace and happy hard heads! :dd

i have NO expensive NAMEBRAND goretex or under armour etc etc.... My feet stay warm with ONE pair of cotton socks with uninsukated type boots and if needed I will wear a pair of rubber boots (5 buckles) over my work boots! My body is protected by a FEW layers of shirts. I typically will wear a turtleneck as one of the layers! gloves are finew for me but MITTENS are the best for peeps that have cold blood and get colder quiker than normal.... Protect yr extremities and yr core parts and yr head and you should be "good to go"... peacer :dd

Alright kidz here is your lesson/project for the day.... Get yrselves a 12 pack of beer or a fifth of tequila and set either of those beverages aside for the moment! PROJECT; Go grab a glass, FILL it with ice cubes, then add water, over the next few hours watch it all melt and liquify together! While you are watching, have a drink from the bevs that you earlier set to the side! OBTW, just in case you get bored and decide you have to go take a dump or leave to go out on a date, PUT a saucer/pan underneath as a "catch basin".... just in case! Get back to us here with your results of wether or not the glass with the cubes and water overflowed!!! Lets solve another problem with this same glass of cubes and water, weigh the cubes and water separetly before you conduct this "melting" test... After all the cubes melt weigh the now all water again... Is there a difference in weight? Ask yourselves why did the glass overflow? Why didn't the glass overflow? Why did the weight change, why didn't the weight change? Let us know if this project cost you billions of dollars to come to a result! edited to add my project pic!

I am happy to be a white man because that is what I am and who am I to argue with my creator? Nothing against other ethnicities. As far as "is this the decade of decline like the 30s or 70s".... Why not locally? It worked for over 100 years before the IRS was installed into our life!! According to some ecomoic peeps in the late sixties our nation was ONLY in debt something like one billion through 1911, but by 1974 we were closing in on 500billion... And where are we at today with our nations debt? Getting off the gold standard was probably the next worse thing we did! It is NOT our income tax that runs this country!!! The corporate tax re; BOEING, GE, LOWES, Red Lobster, etc etc is what HELPS keep the Fed system afloat! Our congress never use to get paid muchless have a FREE ride for their perssonel healthcare for LIFE after they RETIRE/quit etc, from the political scence in DC!!! Being a senator or representive NEVER use to be a fulltime job... It was NOT suppose to be this way! I do NOT need the US GVT to withhold my SWEAT MONEY (income tax, FICA unemployment ins) and shuffle it around until I retire, I can do that myself!!! The IRS has been a "shell GAME" since it was installed upon us eversince.... The first 100+ years of America was GREAT and within the next 100, we have FALLING so far behind in EVERYTHING it should make everyones head spin! Which i believe it has or WE would not be having these conversations! Our nation started to unravel pretty much when the gvt started to stick their noses uP and in our asses... I have a house full of WOMEN! a wife and three daughters! One daughter is being lazy and soaking uP the sun in South Carolina.... The rest and myself watched this last weekend in the comfort of out home... We were intrigured... I have for the past few years been trying to talk my girls into some more defensive training classes JUST BECAUSE!!! They have been enlisted for the past 4weeks! Even tho it is HOLLYWOOD, they are aware that life is somewhat evil out here and so they have been enjoying theses classes knowing that they have some SECRET WEAPONS about them that ACTUALLY can and will work if faced in certain xituations.... I suggest that ALL women get some sort of training in self defense... Or you can become a VICTIM!!! God forbid of course..... peace and happy choke holds!! :dd
