Ya noticed that to aye? I think it comes and goes with most of us in here.... not sure WHY, but I believe it might have something to do with us being human... I know i got caught uP in it for a while! I actually liked "letting my hair down" for those few short moments of being footloose and fancyfree with my thoughts transformed into words in here! Anywho,... I righted my ship before i sunk to the depths of HELL, but I am sure there will be a next time... I wont even touch that book now! My Mother had met a Gentleman in the late 30's early to mid 40's here in Illinois. He was going to UofI and stationed at Chanute AFB back then. He was a bombadier in the Maruder B26 over Germany during one point of the war and was shot down there and spent some months as a POW in the German camps.... They didn't see each other again until 1972 when He and his daughter "Candy" were making their way BACK to Lou A vull from the WINDY via Champaign. Her Mother His wife was killed in a car accident a few years before. He was originally from Louisville born and raised there and longed to return to finish raising Candice there! About a year and a half after that DREADFUL day(s) of that tornadic outbreak, My Mom and He were married and we bcame the Gilbert/Eaton Bunch! His name was Richard Hite Gilbert... "Dick Gilbert SKYWATCH 84" of WHAS in Lou A vull! He had just taken off from HAPS Field in his BELL 47G from New Albany Indiana just before the storms were taken shape over the LouAvull metro... He was credited for saving MANY lives that day/afternoon for His reports over that 840AM radio station.... I have missed Louisville ever since they divorced and Mom and I moved back here. St Matthews is where we lived then, and to hear of ValleyStation, and DIXIE fuckin HIGHWAY and other subs of Louisville brings back many a smiles to my face and heart! I learned alot from that man during the years of being with Him... He was a GOOD GUY! Rest In Peace Gil!! I loved and MISS you man! TV, movies and parents that are TOO involved in themselves is why we dont see the paper airplanes and the spitwad punishments reports going home... Not that the reports would be read by these parents anyway!!! We need to ask ourselves "where do these children get the ideas for their duffle bag of goodies"....? Damn right it is scary! But I am afraid that it IS only going to get worse folks.... Some wanna blame Rock n Roll, others want to blame the ERA movement of the 70's, still others want to blame the CIA for delivering drugs by the plane and boat loads to the inner city etc etc and the list could go on and on and on.... We have (as a nation and as a world) a serious problem with OUR children in the fact that they have already been left behind to fend for themselves... So they fill uP on things that are CURIOUS to them. I will be the first to say that TELEVISION is near if not at the top of the list that has done alot of the damage, but only b/c the parents ALLOW it to be a "babysitter" for there kids.... This is a complicated issue for a forum such as this, but our problems today can easily be dissected and traced back to different periods in our nations history..... The BIGGEST problem/QUESTION is not how or why, but WHEN are WE adults going to step uP and say enuf is enuf and get our BIG ASS gvt/politicians out of our lives for every lil thing and take back to the american VALUES of a 1-family and 2- a society of values/morals? And then passing those on down the line to the uP and comers of tomorrow... When both Dad and Mom work and they leave/GIVE their children to someone else, or Dad and Mom seperate/divorce b/c of SELFISH reasons etc , then this kind of behaivor will be normal and creeps into a society a lil at a time.... LIKE IT HAS DONE ALREADY!!! The gvt steps in to "help" and the parents are so thankful for the pompous gesture, that it all becomes so freaking backwards, and to actually turn it around will take a few generations... Its not the gvts fault that WE ALLOW them to takeover! peace and CONSISTENCY, love and discipline.... be with ya'll! :DD
